Happy hour
No late happy hour ๐ I came just for the happy hour. Still a cool spot, just wish there was more options for late night. ...
Be the first to ReplyButter grilled scallops! Oh yeah!!
I loved their Yakitori. It was good. Really good. But the grilled scallops stole my heart. We ordered A LOT of food!! From the fresh sashimi to grilled dishes to deep fried squid legs. Everything was fantastic. Fun atmosphere. Good selection of sake. Seems to be pretty busy so reservation would be advised.
Be the first to ReplyOne of My Favorite Vegas Meals
Dinner at Hachi was the best meal that I had on my recent trip to Las Vegas. This place is off strip and is about $11-$15 Uber ride away depending on what part of the Strip you are coming from. But it was worth it. Hachi has limited seating so reservations are recommended. The bar seats maybe 12. There are several booths. A few small tables. And a larger room for groups. The service was attentive. Servers took the time to answer all of my menu questions. I ordered the Tako Wasabi, Chicken Kaarage, Fried Oysters, Assorted Sashimi which included some Blue Fin Tuna. For the skewers I ordered the Premium Wagu Beef, Pork Belly, Teba Wings, Premium Wagu Beef Tongue, Chicken Skin, and Chicken Thigh. Everything was very tasty. I even did a second round of skewers! And it was not expensive. My bill was $104 for all that food including two Japanese draft beers. I was thinking next time I will skip the Sashimi and order more skewers. There were several items on the menu that I missed like Soft Shell Crab and Ika Karaage. I am getting hungry already. I highly recommend making the trip to Hachi for dinner.

Great Sushi place and yakitori and decent drink selection too. went there late evening with Office folks. Limited vegetarian option though.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Izakaya restaurant with sushi, yakitori and more
Food was excellent. Busy place so be sure to get a reservation. We enjoyed the beef carpaccio, hamachi sashimi (really great sauce with this dish), quite a few yakitori skewers that were all delicious. Friendly staff. Nice izakaya style restaurant. Sushi chef was great.

Vegas native, been eating @ Hachi since they had opened. The food here is delicious, Tsukune, Beef skewers, Duck, pork belly, grilled over bincho- tan coals, ummmmm delicious, paired w/ a pint of asahi beer.
Highly recommend this restaurant. Cheers.
Really good choice for asian
Had a large group eating at Hachi.
We let the waiter just arrange a menu for us, and it was great.
A lot of food, tasted as it should and with fast and helpful service
Very nice Izakaya - Prices reasonable
Hachi is Japanese Izakaya style restaurant. Menu selections are typical items found in Izakaya found in Japan but with some added items and seasoning to accommodate western preferences and tastes. Overall Hachi has accomplished what they have set out to do and the line out the "door" testifies that it's darn good food.
A must try place and prices are reasonable.
An excellent choice for dinner that becomes one of the best choices in town at late night.
Iโm so glad I found this spot. One of the most pleasant surprises Iโve had in Vegas, and itโs definitely made my relatively small rotation there. We had reservations at midnight, and needed them too, because every seat in the place was full. Itโs located in Chinatown, in a strip mall with a bunch of other well-known options, but was by no means tinyโat least fifty seats, if I were to guess, with roughly 10-12 counter seats, which is where we were at. It seemed like a very authentic izakaya, hitting all the notes: a reasonable sashimi/sushi selection, cold (several carpaccio, cold tofu, braised eggplant) and hot starters (gyoza andโฆwhew. A bunch of stuff I canโt remember but wanted to try), fried specialties (croquettes, various kara age, katsus), more substantial plates (bring on the wagyu), noodles (ooh paitan) and what seemed to be the house specialty: yakitori. For starters we had a sashimi platter, with tuna, salmon, Hamachi, hirame (I think), ikura, and scallops, which were all presented nicely and tasted very fresh. Tacked on an uni sashimi, which was a small portion but priced right, ankimo (also a nice and manageable portion, in ponzu with traditional garnish, and on a generous pile of vinegar cucumbers) and cold tofu (also hit the spot). Then it was time to bring on the meat: beef tataki, with traditional and very well integrated flavors (rare steak, sweet onions, ginger, scallions and ponzu), and the chicken kara-age. The kara-age is supposed to be one of their most popular items, and while the taste was great, the pieces were a bit on the bigger side, but I guess thatโs a matter of preference. Last but definitely not least was the yakitori. We had six skewers: the pork cheek (a must), wagyu, tongue, shishito peppers, tsukune with radish and ponzu, and a chicken thigh with ume shiso. And even after all that, there was a ton of stuff we wanted to try.
For drinks, they have a very nice but not overwhelming sake selection, and we hit that with the Kokuryu Black Dragon, one of my favorites and very reasonable on this list. Every place Iโve been to that carries it has been a great joint. We also had a half bottle of Dassai 50 and a pitcher or so of Kirin draft.
Given all that, the bill was a third or maybe even a quarter of what Iโd expect to pay for the same thing on the Strip for better quality, and still a good bit less pricey than Raku, which I found good but overrated given the amount of plaudits theyโve received. Portions were smaller but priced very well so you can try more things, which is just the way it should be. They also have specials after 10pm, so for a late night choice, I canโt think of another place in town that Iโd rather go to (unless I was looking for something junky). Make reservations for sure, and get over there.
