Be the first to ReplyMichelin 1 star establishments should have quality service
Michelin 1 star establishments should have quality service and this one was far from it. Every star here goes to the back of the house. The host today in London has resting bitch face and was vastly unpleasant. I seriously don't understand why you don't train your staff? The wait staff was actually terrible, beyond terrible for a highly rated chef. The food was impeccable. TRAIN YOUR EFFING front of the house STAFF!!! Seriously!!! Probably the worst service of the best food I've ever had. The entire lot of the front of the house should be fired and replaced! They weren't even Applebees level staff!!!! WTF

I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Beautiful settings and perfectly arranged table and service. The dishes are out of this world; have they got a Michelin star? They deserve all the accolade from the world. Alan Yau apparently sold the restaurants to the Qatari family, but the standard remains super high.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely loved our experience at Hakkasan.
The food was delicious, the service was amazing and we really enjoyed the ambience. The supreme dim sum was incredible. Loved the variety of dim sums- super tasty. The black truffle roasted duck stole the show! Although pecking duck is popular, we decided to try this instead. It was the best! Just melts in your mouth. Can't wait to be back!

We celebrated our anniversary here and couldnt had picked a better location. Extremely romantic and cozy- they have an extensive drink menu and the food was delicious. The service is a little intense and felt like we were rushed- all in all we will be back but im sure well find many places like this and even maybe for a better price.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed.
Service was ok and over priced. I have no idea why it's a Michelin one star restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food with amazing service.
10/10. The vibes are immaculate and the setting is beautiful.

Blatant Discrimination and Outrageous Charges! My friend and I decided to dine at this so-called "upscale" restaurant, only to be stopped at the entrance due to the dress code. While we were willing to accept this and agreed to change our clothes, we couldn't help but notice the family right behind us, dressed in windbreakers and jeans, being welcomed in without a word from the staff. This blatant act of discrimination infuriated us, and we decided to leave immediately. To make matters worse, the restaurant then had the audacity to charge us £100! I cannot express how angry and disappointed we are in their blatant disregard for fairness and equality. Not only is their customer service abysmal, but their business practices are downright unethical. I strongly advise anyone considering dining here to stay far away from this discriminatory and unscrupulous establishment!

only reviewing the classic steamed dim sum since I got that as takeout. It was good but waaaayyyy over priced.

If you want to impress your wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/boss/secretary/mistress, this is THE place! O.M.G. the menu is incredibly special - catering to a range of budgets. I'd recommend the plum, at £80 pp, it offers the best of the best. Wine can be expensive, like all Michelin restaurants, but you can have tea. Each course is a signature of class and distinction. We thoroughly enjoyed our Chinese New Year lunch.

Snagged a last minute semi-private room reservation the day of. The semi-private room seats 12, and has a minimum spend of £1,500. It also requires you to pre-order one of the sets - of which everyone gets the same set. We went for the pearl set at £148 per person; so its quite easy to hit the minimum. The stand out items imo were the Hakkasan signature Peking duck with Prunier caviar, Supreme dim sum, and maybe the roasted silver cod. Everything else was ok. But overall, fantastic service, great drinks selection, and our party had a good time.
Be the first to Replywonderful! duck salad is a must try.
Out of all of their locations this is the one with the best service & ambience
Be the first to ReplyWife and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary and what
Wife and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary and what better than a Michelin-star rated restaurant in London! Unfortunately our experience was less than stellar. First, our reservation was cancelled at the other Hakkasan location and was diverted to Mayfair. We were offered complementary Champaign. No problem. We chose the "Pearl" Pre-fix menu at £150 each. We also ordered drinks. I knew what we were getting into, so I expected very expensive drinks (£17-25), but what we got were "half" drinks...barely enough for a couple of sips. Service on drinks were super slow, was not able to maintain any buzz. Had to ask twice to check status. Also asked for another napkin and never got it. Had to grab from another empty table. Drinks itself was very tasty, but atmosphere somewhat ruined by the waiting. Food was average. The Stir-fry baby broccoli and preserved olive and the peking duck appetize were the standouts. Those are the two I consider "worthy" of Michelin star quality. The rest (venison, 2nd duck course, octopus) are P.F Chang quality westernized-chinese food. It's fine...but not elevated, and absolutely not worth £150 per person. Look, I'm not going to be snobbish about the food...I know coming in I'm really paying for a special experience. At a total of £450 for the 2 of us, if we had great service, it would've overcome the mediocre food! I don't think it was asking too much for an elevated experience at that cost. But in the end, we left what felt like an average restaurant with the only thing we felt elevated was the price tag.

Wonderful cocktails, service and food. Highly recommend if you're looking for an upscale eatery in London. Great environment for dinner, not designed for kids. Very trendy with dress code. Book way in advance for dinner.
Be the first to ReplyFun spot to dress up and share a meal.
The cocktails are great and so is the peking duck. Crispy beef was perfection and crispy... so crispy. Its loud but not crazy. Great for GNO
Be the first to ReplyFood and ambiance were amazing.
The staff was a bit aloof and seemed as though they were bothered by requests. Even with that being the case, I'd go back again.

The worst service ever!! The guard doesn't allow us in because of the dress code which no one contacted us for that And system automatically charge us $150 for cancellation fee and when I called them, they said they are not able to refund because I canceled by myself They mentioned I need to go to receptionist for cancellation, but the guard doesn't allow us in, so how the possible I can go inThe ridiculous worst service everDon't come

Be the first to ReplyThis is one our staple restaurants.
We came to this couple of times and went to one in NY, LV and BH (before they closed down). By far the London location is the best. Good people watching. It was heaving on Friday night. We ordered our usual including the fabulous duck salad, vegetable dim sum, sea bass, rib eye and jasmine rice. We add tofu with eggplant which was nice as well. I didn't like the fact that most staffs didn't wear masks. But overall great experience.
Be the first to ReplyHakkasan is my all time favorite restaurant worldwide.
Whenever I'm in London, the Mayfair location is a must for me.

Amazing food! The service was a little slow, but the house was full. Not a big fan of the lychee martini so I switched to sake and was very pleased.

There is nothing, I mean nothing, nothing, that beats the crispy duck salad at Hakkasan!!! Any location, any city, any country, it is a staple and it just makes everything right in the world. Crispy yet tender duck, pomegranate seeds, fresh greens, heaven. And of course the dim sum sampler!!!!! I love you Hakkasan. The Mayfair location like all of the others is quite busy so make a reservation. The bar is a limited menu so if you want the good stuff you need to eat in one of the dining rooms (Mayfair has two floors). Waiters are hit and miss but the food is always yum yum yum!!!!
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely a favorite stop for Chinese.
It's not the most authentic, but the flavors burst with delight. Service is just ok, but the food is phenomenal and a step better than other Hakkasan locations out there.

.... from a Hakkasan regular??? WHY?!?!I am a regular at Hakkasan in San Francisco. So my expectations for fine dining doesn't stop at the food or ambience. Service is everything. This doesn't mean going as far as anticipating my needs, but please make an effort to put on a smile, be polite and actually care about your customers experience. Regardless of your day, if you're choosing to be a server it's your responsibility to put your customers' needs first and make sure their satisfied. The food at Hakkasan was great as usual, however, for this particular location our two servers (one finished his shift and we got another guy) were absolutely pathetic. My wife and I were not asked once how our food was or if we needed anything. We had to pour our own soup and serve ourselves fried rice. I just don't understand how that's possible. I will never come back to this location again in my life and I have already vocalized to my friends at YPO and other business organizations. STAY CLEAR of this location. I would go as far to say that the Hakkasan main office needs to send a secret staff member to see what is going on at this location. Service is everything and management needs to step up if they want to do justice to the Hakkasan name.

If you are a native Chinese, I definitely would not recommend you to go. Food is highly overrated and the service is super bad!!!
