We started off with spicy cucumbers.
Delish and refreshing.Their tofu veggie soup was super generous. Great value for the price. The cumin chicken packed a punch! Really great! But their long pepper beef was the absolute star! The stir fried pea sprouts in garlic oil was a generous portion, a great value.Their rice was super tasty.Spicy won tons in chili oil was a bit off, less enjoyable than other times said my friends who are locals.Service was efficient and friendly enough.
Be the first to ReplyHad lunch here after hearing about it for awhile.
Very tasty and reasonable lunch... although lunch specials are not what they used to be... Lunch special is just the dish and white rice. Everything else, is extra.. including brown rice. Still good, still reasonable given prices these days!
Be the first to ReplyVery large restaurant with traditional Chinese paintings
Very large restaurant with traditional Chinese paintings and calligraphy art on the walls. Came with large extended family and dishes were served very quick. In general, meat dishes we found were loaded with a lot more vegetables than usual to get to the same bulk (ie feeling the inflation). No authentic Chinese desserts (they have cheese cake and ice cream) but the main courses tasted very authentic and were a mild spice level.

Honestly this place NEVER disappoints, the food is always fresh and delicious. The pricing is also really good. It is our go-to for chinese food. THE BEST!
Be the first to ReplyInsanely good, super vegan and vegetarian friendly.
Highlights include dan dan noodles, scallion pancakes, dry pot tofu, hot sauce style tofu and pickled chili style tofu.

It's not that the food tastes bad exactly -- it's that everything, I mean every single dish, is coated in oil and MSG. I have never not come home with indigestion. (Why I go back: for some reason this is my father's favorite place for Chinese food, and whatever I feel about Han Dynasty I love him.)

Top notch Chinese food on the UWS , an accommodating staff, Charles the bar tender did a great job recommending spicy entrees that were spot on for a guy who loves the spicy Szechuan flavors !! If you are looking for an exceptional Chinese dinning experience give Han a try it's no wonder they have a Dynasty !!

Delicious food and SUPER nice staff! We had some confusion about booking one of their Monday Tasting menus tonight and they were so understanding and helpful! We ended up ordering takeout anyway and it was awesome. Dan Dan noodles were a highlight! Will definitely be eating here again!
Be the first to ReplyNice restaurant with solid Szechuan dishes.
All spicy, but can change the level of spiciness when ordering. I was able to get everything with low spice and was able to tolerate it. We ordered the snow pea with garlic (this dish had no spiciness!), dry fry beef and eggplant with garlic sauce. The dry fry beef and eggplant were both cooked in low spiciness, which was perfect for me! Also came with a huge bowl of rice! Overall, food was good! Would probably return.
Be the first to ReplyThis is my go to spot, they never fail.
The dan dan noodles are a MUST, spicy cucumbers, dry chicken, tofu (any kind), garlic pea shoots, and string beans - it's insane how fast the food comes out and the portions are huge, I love this place
Be the first to ReplyPretty solid food but nothing out of the ordinary.
I like that you know what you're going to get and how it will taste since it's very similar to many other places. The only thing I wasn't crazy about were the vegetable dumplings. Definitely comfort food, and I've ordered from here twice so far and I'll most likely order again.

Delicious Szechuan food and plenty of vegetarian options! We came with two friends, four of us total, on a Saturday. I called the day before to make a reservation for 2pm. When we arrived, there were a sprinkling of tables but it wasn't very crowded We were all happy with our dishes. Very flavorful, but not automatically very spicy, and good portions -scallion pancakes - crispy and flaky. On point!-dumplings in chili oil- yummy -vegetarian Dan Dan noodles- if you've had this dish before, it was on point. The perfect balance of peanutty and special spices-dry pot with tofu- really tasty and a reasonable but not super big portion. -hot sauce tofu - this portion was a lot bigger than the dry pot with tofu. My friend seemed to really enjoy itAll in all, very tasty with a nice sized menu including lots of vegetarian options
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and friends were visiting the city.
We wanted Chinese food, googled the closest restaurant and Han Dynasty was first on the list. The food was delicious. The fried rice didn't look like much but it was so yummy! Our server wasn't too attentive to us. We had to ask another server for help. Other than that, it was a great night.
Be the first to ReplyThe atmosphere in this restaurant is really cute.
The inside and outside dining was calming. The servers were sweet to my family and were very attentive. We had our food quickly and it was delicious. I had the dry pot style chicken. It had just the right amount of heat and great flavor. My son loved the dumplings, and had two orders.

I had gone here a few years ago and dined in, but this was my first time getting delivery-and I still enjoyed it just as much as I had remembered. I got the dry pepper chicken and spring rolls, and both dishes were still very crisp and delicious once they got to my door. If you like spicy dishes, I definitely recommend this one! I look out for this dish at every schezuan place I go to, and this one is definitely one of the best I've had. The pieces of chicken are nice and juicy, and were very well cooked/fried! Perfect spice level for me as well.

Really great food, really fast quality service and quick delivery too. Great place! Love pretty much everything on the menu.

This afternoon I decided to call in for pick up since that's usually faster than delivery given the restaurant is a couple of blocks away from my building. I ordered the Double Cooked Pork Belly and Salt & Pepper Shrimp lunch specials along with West Lake Beef Soup. I arrived in 10 minutes as that was the estimated time given, paid the $45.57 check, and was told to have a seat in the waiting area. I received a bank alert for a $51.85 charge, and thought, "Wow, I guess they decided to overtip themselves." I decided to ignore it and continued to wait. And wait. 20 minutes later, I went to the person at the host stand and asked him to check on my to go order. It was already on the bench behind him, and he apologized for not checking on me as I had sat waiting for apparently no reason. Because of this lack of basic service, I told him that I was overcharged and requested a refund of the overtip. They honored my request with apologies. They should have given me a discount for the poor service and attempted theft. I am giving 3 stars because the food was great, exactly what I was craving, but the service left a bad taste in my mouth.

I have gone to the Cherry Hill and Philly locations MANY times and I wanted to see if the food was just as good at the West 85th location and it was!I ordered the string beans w/minced port, dry pepper fish and dan dan noodles and they were great. The dan dan noodles are not exactly like the way it is served in Cherry Hill but it was pretty close.Out of the entire week I spent in NYC, this was my favorite meal. It was amazing.
Be the first to ReplyThis is my first time visiting a Chinese restaurant.
Being a vegetarian , I was a bit skeptical about trying the food but I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered Veg fried dumplings, Dan Dan noodles and Stringbeans . Everything was so good in taste and the portion size was generous. Loved the vibe and it was an amazing experience.
Be the first to ReplyTerrific UWS Chinese spot.
We had a large group with diverse dining interests, from omnivore to vegan and every dish was a hit. The staff was friendly and attentive even when the place was hopping. Particularly enjoyed the pea shoots, dumplings and Dan Dan noodles.

My favorite Chinese food!!! We have been going for years and the food is absolutely delicious. In terms of the protein options the garlic sauce style, kung pow style, and crispy rice style are unbelievable. The eggplant in garlic sauce is my favorite vegetable and quite possibly item on the menu. The cold noodles in sesame sauce have the perfect flavor. Their dan dan noodles are amazing there but don't travel well to go. My husband is obsessed with the scallion pancakes, and we all love the dumplings and lo main. Their wonton soup is also delightful on a cold winter day.
Be the first to ReplySichuan's cuisine is extraordinary.
And this is its embassy in New York. Get ready for spicy. Don't miss the different mushrooms. Sichuan is one of the mushroom regions in China. However everything is good here. Don't miss it.
Be the first to ReplyHan Dynasty is my favorite go to restaurant in the UWS hood.
Their cumin chicken rice dish and hot pot are phenomenal and super satiating! The food comes out super quick which is great if you are hungry but makes you wonder how fresh it is. Complimentary hot tea servings when you sit down help setup the vibe. I have visited Szechuan and this place is very good reminder of it!
