We were seated right away. The waiter was energetic and very touchy-feely. He continued to touch my elderly aunt on her back and shoulder and myself at one point while talking to us. As I understand that touching in his culture may be acceptable and showing a sign of caring, it is not comfortable for everyone; especially during a pandemic. No male should be rubbing the back and shoulder of any woman (or male) without permission. Drinks and appetizers arrived within 15 minutes. Our main course order was taken at the same time as our appetizers but never arrived. We didn't complain. A different waiter came over and apologized about our main course not arriving, giving the reason that someone failed to actually place the order with the kitchen using some term unfamiliar to me of “Fire up”. The manager on duty was seen greeting other customers but not us. It wasn’t until I made eye contact that he decided to visit our table and offer apologies about our wait time – mind you we never complained. He was fully aware of what was going on. Our meals arrived about ten minutes past that moment, now somewhere just over an hour. I ordered a medium-cooked filet that came medium rare but didn't complain, I simply ate it. A side dish for another person, never arrived until I inquired. A rack of lamb came burnt. The manager and servers were noticed off to the side talking and looking at our table. It gave the impression they were aware the rack of lamb was burnt and were standing by for a complaint. I motioned the manager over and asked him to review the lamb and give his impression to which he acknowledged without a word from us that it was burnt. He apologized offering a substitution from the menu. The lamb was removed from the bill and still left a 20% tip in spite of the level of service received at this pricey place. None of us will ever eat at Hank’s again and were disappointed with the overall experience. Hank’s failed us and still charged us full price. Shameful.
