On a recent trip to London we decided to try this out as we had heard really good report but for the one in Edinburg closer to where we live. Very poor selection on non alcoholic drinks ( only one type of tonic water ) starter was fine but mains was extremely poor. Fillet steak chips with pepper sauce. What’s complicated ? Main arrived and sadly the only taste was of salt. The pepper sauce was so insipid again what’s complicated. Know one asked if we here happy with the meal. On clearing the table I did voice my opinion but was told SORRY. £124 for a very disappointing evening.

Great Monday lunch

We are here on a Monday lunchtime. The place was lovely and lively and service was spot on . The £5 corkage fee for BYO wine was great . We ate off the express and the Al a carte menus . The steaks and sides were cooked to perfection . Good portion sizes.
We were welcomed very warmly and the staff were attentive . Enjoyed the star spotting in the bar afterwards too

As you would expect the steaks were fabulous. Starters not quite so exciting, I had the scallops which were a bit disappointing for the price but the crab salad proved to be very good. We had a rib eye and a sirloin, both cooked medium rare beautifully. The wine list also had a good range of type and price. Would definitely go back!!

A very reliable London Sunday Roast

Visited for Sunday Lunch with friends which was fantastic and not unsurprising, we all went for the beef and the plates were cleaned.

The staff were incredibly accommodating as we had a last minute change to our booking that they were able to work around and once we had finished our meal were able to find us tables in the bar to carry on with another drink.

Highly recommend for a delicious Sunday Roast with good service.

Great Central London Restaurant

I booked this restaurant for a party of 8 after day attending a business awards ceremony

Everyone who joined us commented that the steaks they were served where amongst the best they had ever tasted!

The restaurant was busy at 9pm on a Wednesday Evening so is obviously extremely popular?

Located in a basement area the restaurant is entered via a hip bar

The only reservation in not awarding a 5* review is that the drinks ( Other than the Wine ) that we ordered took longer than expected to arrive

I would definitely return

We arrived some half an hour ahead of our booking to have a drink at the bar and things started badly when I ordered one of their House cocktails only to be told there was no mixologist there to be able to make it! After waiting ten minutes for our drinks they seemed only too keen to move us away from the bar by taking our drinks to our table despite the fact we were waiting for one of our party. When taking our orders we were told there was no chicken dish available which was one of the few options other than steak. Instead I asked if my wife could have the monkfish but was told that the minimum size for this was 600g (at a cost of over £60) which was ridiculous for a single portion. When the food arrived the steaks were good although we had to chase up our side dishes of chips which eventually arrived ten minutes after the meat. Throughout our waitress was miserable and basically unhelpful which is not something you would expect when you are paying £100 a head for an evening out. We won’t be back☹️☹️

Booked a table for my wedding anniversary at 21:30 was excited as heard a lot about this place , table wasn’t ready had to wait 15 minutes when we did sit down service wasn’t great . Ordered food they had run out of some dishes starter wasn’t great had scallops and was gritty the main was ok but for the price I’ve eaten better else where gauchos is a better dining experience will stick to gauchos in the future .
All the staff was dressed in casual clothes jeans and no uniform or smart clothes just felt like a beefeater but at £165 for two people I expect more

I made the booking for Christmas Eve dinner in AUGUST!!!! Plenty of time to make sure I hade a table secured for my family for a special holiday celebration. Thirty minutes prior to the booking we leave our Air bnb excited for a delicious dinner, anticipation building with each rainy step. We finally arrive at our destination only to find it's CLOSED?!?!? I'm sorry?!?!?!? Again I have made a booking on open table and have received a confirmation email! You can imagine my surprise/frustration/annoyance/exasperation/anger... too many adjectives to name here. Long story short we frantically searched for another establishment that was 1) open and 2) not fully booked already. Thankfully Angus Steakhouse graciously squeezed us in and to our delight it was delicious and the service was amazing. Hold on a moment while I go give them a glowing review...

It came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. The server recommended the fillet cut of meat. He described all the sauces in detail so I could make my decision. I also ordered the buttered new potatoes and creamed spinach. It was truly a wonderful dining experience and worth every penny!

I highly recommend this service. Reservations sell out in minutes as they become available at this restaurant. I was able to get a table at the exact time we wanted, on a peak weekend night. Amazing!

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
