The food is really good and they changed him in every couple of weeks. Celebrated our birthdays and they were very warm and welcoming. The views from the restaurant are beautiful. The service was great and the restaurant manager came by a couple of times to see how things were. It really feels like a fine dining restaurant.

Thrilled with my recent visit to the hotel bar during happy hour! The drinks were incredibly refreshing, hitting just the spot after a long day of work. The ambiance was perfect for winding down, with cozy seating and welcoming staff. Whether you're a guest at the hotel or just passing through, this happy hour is a must-try for anyone looking to relax and sip on some seriously refreshing cocktails.

So ... apparently this business just changed their menu today ! And I believe they should change it back. The steak was overcooked, Brussels sprouts were undercooked and I believe the shrimp cocktail (although large) were still frozen. The entire meal was a disaster. Shout out to the bus boy because he was the only tolerable part of the meal. I don't want to pick on the server because he was fine.

I'm sad to say that we were very underwhelmed our first time here. Brussel sprouts were HUGE yet flavorless, my friend's steak was seasoned well but over-cooked. She asked for medium rare and got almost medium well. My scallops were good, but overall, underwhelming. Won't return.

The interior is giving luxury cabin, with both classy and rustic touches. It's a fairly long walk if you don't park at the spa tower where it says "jw Marriott" at the entrance Our server was Camille and she was excellent. She gave wonderful recommendations and took care of us. We went here for our anniversary and we were gifted to a signed card and complimentary dessert. We had the seafood tower, steak, and lamb chops. We also had a few drinks each. Their blood orange cocktail was absolutely delicious. The steak was perfect and the seafood tower had some of the biggest shrimp I've ever seen! It was definitely a pleasure to dine here and I can't wait to come back
Be the first to ReplyThe restaurant is inside the Spa Tower at the J.
W. Marriott. The location is serene and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the casino floor. Our party was greeted warmly and seated at a spacious booth with chairs. Our server was very attentive and professional. We were offered their extensive wine list and kept it simple... a bottle of the house wine. I'm not a big wine drinker, so to me, it was the perfect pairing with my meal. We started with shrimp cocktails and crab cake and shucked oysters. The general consensus on the starter course was positive. The oysters were on the smaller side but delicious. Crab cake had no crunch, a little mushy, but flavorful, and the shrimp cocktail was impressive. For the main course, we ordered filet mignon with accompaniment of seared hokkaido scallops, pan roasted duck breast (a little chewy), and main entree of the pan seared hokkaido scallops. The sides of truffle mac and cheese, crispy cauliflower, and garlic roasted mashed potatoes were impressive and tasty. Overall, our server was professional, the ambiance was beautiful, and the food was tasteful and enjoyable.

Always great food and great service classy can't wait till summer comes for the outside but the inside is also wonderful. Food was delicious. Can't wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyNice long hallway walk.
.. As you approach the host podium there's a long glass window full of wine display. Soon we reached the podium, we were greeted by the host was walked to our group... The place is pretty hidden coming from the casino floor, just follow the Hawthorn Grill sign not the Restaurant sign... hehehe cause I got lost hehe looking for the resto. After the long nice hallway walk we approached the podium got seated, mingled with our group. Then got approach by a server got our drinks taken, I specifically ordered non-alcoholic (mock tail) drink which I expressed that to our server as the drink came did a sip on it and the vodka was so strong and I start itching (I'm allergic to it) so I called the server and asked this drink has alcohol and he apologies and said he mixed my drinks with my friend. Good thing I always bring Benadryl. Anyways... We started with some bread and butter the bread was warm and soft which was yummy. Then our salad came which was drizzled with some vinaigrette was also good not too drenched on the dressing and the veggies were fresh. Then our main course came I ordered the salmon; the salmon was well cooked and well seasoned which had some asparagus potato and Cherry tomatoes and some light sauce. Everything went well together. As per the side we had some big potato wedges with some Parmesan on them. And some grilled baby sprouts. Which all the side was good. Then I had a cappuccino with some cheesecake, coffee was good and perfect with the cheesecake! Everything was a great experience and service! Food was well cooked and seasoned, the place was pretty nice, server was nice and even with the alcohol mistake I enjoyed the food and the company we had. Don't mind to comeback and try other menu on the list!

We are salty and very disappointed! Back in October, my friend who treated me and my husband to celebrate our recent marriage was embarrased with how disappointing Hawthorn's was. She was excited to take us out. My friend worked hard on asking her other friends for recomendations and researching a nice dinner place. The host was nice, cordial, and humorous. The ambience was surprisingly appealing. The waiter was great and respectful... but the food! the food was horrible! HORRIBLE! Me and our friend ordered the Salmon and my husband ordered the Roasted Chicken -- it was as if salt was the dish! They were the saltiest food we've ever eaten in our lives -- 166 yrs combined! They offered to switch the food and serve us better versions of what we ordered. We, of course, agreed to send our plates back. Some parts of the "altered version" of the dishes were still kind of salty. We just had to eat the food since we were already there and already wasted time, money, and energy to be there. For a very expensive restaurant we expected better food or at least average food that was not salt that looked like Salmon, chicken, and sides! I do not recommend going to Hawthorn! You are better off going to a franchise restaurant.

Our server Taylor was super friendly! We each had The Burger for happy hour. We love the atmosphere especially when you sit outside.
Be the first to ReplyLet me say that I absolutely adore this steakhouse.
I've been here for many birthdays and every single time the service is impeccable. My mom, husband and myself came in for an early birthday for myself and decided to check out the HH before our actual dinner reservation I love how they have the whole bar and patio open before the restaurant even opens. Unfortunately we came on a rainy day but lucky enough we were able to grab a small table where the couches are. My mom and I indulged in a few of the house red wines ($7 on HH menu). We decided we were too hungry and asked to be seated about 30 minutes before our reservation. The restaurant was quite slow (since they had just opened) and we were able to quickly put in our orders. I adore their 8oz filet. It is to die for served with the bearnaise sauce. We opted to share a wedge salad and garlic mashed potatoes. My husband went for the lamb and truffle fries. Everything was absolutely to die for. The steak was cooked perfectly. For dessert we did the brรปlรฉe cheesecake and they surprised me with a flourless chocolate cake which was so creamy and tasty. I only knocked a star because their prices have almost doubled for their filet in the last year. We spend most of our family birthdays there and was kind of upsetting that they skyrocketed and that sides used to be somewhat included. Either way superb and will always recommend this beautiful restaurant. Thanks guys for starting my birthday week off right!

I visited on October 11, 2022 with family and our waitress was rude. Her name is Morgan and I could tell she didn't want to be our server.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was amazing!! I have never been to Rampart
This place was amazing!! I have never been to Rampart Casino at JW Marriott in Summerlin prior to this. Who knew there was a great Steakhouse here?? The restaurant had a cozy vibe with views of a waterfall and an outdoor patio. I'm sure this would have been great in the summer months when the sun stays up past 7pm, but since it starts to get dark early nowadays, there was nothing much to see. The food was delicious! After eating disappointing char-grilled steaks the other week, Hawthorn definitely did not let us down. This is how you cook a good steak (pay attention, T-Bones)! I ordered the Harris Ranch Filet Mignon and my husband ordered the Lone Oak Farms Prime Grilled Ribeye. We both agreed that our steaks were perfectly cooked to the correct temperature, seasoned well (loved the garlic butter) and easy to cut without any fork and knife struggles. Tasty, melt in your mouth meat that definitely did not need the side of Bordelaise sauce. Now that is a great steak! We also ordered a few sides. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was tasty with a good amount of lobster pieces inside. The bread crumbs on top were a plus! Normally, I don't eat Brussel Sprouts, but this one was seasoned well and tasted great with bacon. There were some minor disappointments here. One thing was the Truffle Steak Fries. I felt they were a little soggy and we should have passed on these. Their bread basket in the beginning of our meal was also not impressive. Lastly, Pepsi products, boo! We received a nice little Chocolate cake for our Anniversary. It was slightly difficult to scoop into because it was flour-less and thick, but still tasted great and was not overly sweet. I believe it was Elkin and Luis who were attending to us that night. They were both friendly and provided excellent service. We are looking forward to coming back here again in the future! On a side note, this restaurant is located in the Spa Tower. We must have walked around the entire casino looking, LOL. But we were early and never been here before, so we didn't mind checking the place out.

Food and service was phenomenal! My friend made reservation in advance for dinner. The restaurant is inside of JW Marriott Resort. Soft lighting, smoothing music and pleasant ambience. Our waiter, Jonathan took really good care of us. He noticed we loved the pretzel buns and brought us another bread basket. It was still warm. He also recommended a really good cabernet from Napa Valley. It was devine! We shared a bunch of appetizers and sides. The lobster mac and cheese and crab cake was my favorite. The scallops (big size) with polenta was amazing! My friend had the ribeye steak and filet mignon. They both really enjoyed it. We had a lovely time!

Had dinner on a slow night and it didn't matter. The server team was amazing and attentive. New appetizer on the menu was bone marrow. Wife hadn't had this since childhood and loved it! (I did as well)Crab cake along with it was crispy and tasty. AddedBrussels sprouts with bacon. Yes, we ordered a lot..Onion soup was perfectly prepared with the crouton and gruyere.Wife had the ribeye rare and again loved it. I had the scallops with polenta and would definitely order it again. Plenty of leftovers that they packed up very wellTo take home.We will definitely return on our next visit to the JW.

We had the most amazing experience tonight at the Hawthorne Grill. We ordered the 16oz Ribeye Steak, Scallops, Seabass, and Salmon. Everything was delicious and just melted in our mouths. We wanted a nice dinner to start off our new year, and boy did they deliver. Our server Camille was very knowledgeable and enhanced our dining experience. We dined here January 1st, 2023

The food was exceptional!! Salmon, sea bass, ribeye and scallops were all perfection. The scallops were the best I've ever had. Camille was knowledgeable, efficient and wonderful!!
Be the first to ReplyThe service here is excellent.
Beyond that, it didn't provide anything that would encourage us to come back for the price of the restaurant. We had a party of 15 we're seated quickly and taken care of by staff. The ambiance is nice, but the battery operated lights on the tables were a bit cheesy. Dinner here is very expensive - expect to pay upwards of $120-$150 a person without drinks. The scallops were a bit fishy, the filet mignon was decent, and the salads were delicious. I requested a dry red wine but the staff insisted all the red wine was dry and not sweet. However, the wine given to me was very sweet. Overall I think it's just too expensive which puts a lot more pressure for the food to be great.
Be the first to ReplyWe settled on this place for last minute plans on Christmas
We settled on this place for last minute plans on Christmas Day for dinner. We enjoyed the Christmas special, which consisted of an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. It did not disappoint. I was with my Great uncle and aunt. We all had the winter salad, which is on their regular menu. The salad was great, and was dressed with a pear vinaigrette, sunflower seeds, and poached pears. It truly felt like a winter salad. For my entree, I had the miso black cod, which was marvelous and on their regular menu. The cod was buttery and flaky and had a light miso flavor. This was paired with sweet potato purรฉe and green and white asparagus. It all paired well together. My aunt and uncle each had the scallops, and of course I tried a scallop, which was sautรฉed to perfection--moist, buttery, and well seasoned. Lastly, we all had the seasonal pumpkin spice cake. It was delicious as well, moist and sweet, but not sickeningly so. I had a cocktail- the Sweet Caroline, which was pear flavored. Very sweet, so the name is applicable, but very tasty to sip. The service was great, although they were very busy. The restaurant is beautiful and modern. Overall, made a beautiful Christmas dinner.
Be the first to ReplyRecently went in and dined at the bar.
Both bartenders were attentive and made great martinis! It was a lively atmosphere and very packed within the restaurant. I didn't feel rushed and it was an enjoyable dining experience! Great food (steaks, salads and desserts)! Highly recommend and perhaps make reservations if you know in advance!
Be the first to ReplyNot sure what the mediocre reviews are about.
..The food here is great. I've had the short rib, filet mignon and meatballs. All were cooked perfectly and flavorful. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Is it Mastro's, Joe's, Bazaar? Not exactly, but it also doesn't have the price tag of those spots, so manage your expectations and you will enjoy this place. I have zero regrets.
