Excellent Dinner
We had an excellent family dinner and the lamb shank was exceptional! The appetizers were great as we had the duck & tuna appetizers. Drinks and service were also very good. This restaurant has great food and great service! This is our favorite restaurant in the Davenport area if you are looking to enjoy a nice evening meal.

My wife and I have been to Hemispheres many times since they opened and have never had a bad cocktail or food item. Chef Aman and his kitchen staff really know what from scratch delicious food means. I would recommend Hemispheres to anyone looking for a date night, cocktails and apps or a business meeting. I have done all three! Great place, give it a chance if you have not already.

Excellent lunch. The food was fantastic the best was the salads and the shrimp bisque. Our waiter was very attentive and met all of our needs.
Be the first to ReplyGood food and thatโs about it
I had a large group attend a dinner. The appetizers were amazing and so was the steak and seafood. The service that night was good but the time to get our food was super long and I had upset customers even through I had planned everything WELL in advance. The person I worked with was very difficult and the wine prices were very very high for just ONE glass of wine. I felt the food was the only part that was good. I wouldnโt go again. When I gave feedback to the chef (owner) he didnt even have the courtesy to reply. I would go somewhere else if I were visiting here. TOO many variables and customer service for the prices you are paying should be crucial to them.

There is no doubt the food is really good. Ahi tuna and calamari appetizers were made just right (not over or under prepared). For my main dish i ordered the fish and it was, unfortunately, a bit over cooked. The side dish ,brussel sprouts, saved the dish. The cheesecake was light enough to put a nice end to the course meal.
Be the first to ReplyRude, Disrespectful, passes of lower cuts as prime Waygu beef.
From the moment we walked in, the waitress was salty. After putting the rest of the tables water, I stopped her as she was leaving and politely asked if I could have some water. As she walked away she rolled her eyes and made rude gesture only visible my colleagues as my back was turned. Three of us ordered the Waygu beef Ribeye at $70. After nearly 1hr and 10mins of waiting in a half full restaurant, we go our steaks. 1 was good, but the other two were like eating a bottom cut hangar steak. My uncle was a butcher and I know my cuts of beef and ours wasn't ribeye, let alone waygu. After waiting another 12 mins, The manager thought it a good idea to bring meat out of the back to lecture us on a cut of meat he clearly didn't know anything about. They took our food, two bites gone. There was no discussion of trying to make it right, or a different meal. I trying to be even handed in my reviews, but top to bottom this was a bad experience. We felt cheated. I wonder what the JohnDeere representative who was dining with us thought about the whole experience.
Be the first to ReplyFirst Time We've Had A Problem
We went to dinner for my son's birthday. We've been to Hemisphere Bistro several times, for both lunch and dinner, and have always had an exceptional meal. This time, however, was different. I ordered the flat iron ($26), medium rare. When it arrived, it was way overcooked - maybe medium well to well done - and it was a poor piece of meat. I literally could not cut through some of it due to gristle. I let the waitress know and she promptly apologized and asked me what I wanted to do. I asked for the prawns ($35) and she let said she'd let her manager know. In the meantime, another male server came and took my plate and agreed it was overcooked. When I mentioned the fact that I couldn't cut through it, he said, "Well, it IS a flat iron" as if that was to be expected. I'll add that we've had the flat iron a number of times before, and it was always tender and delicious. Then he made sure that I understood the prawns would take another 15 minutes. I said I was fine with that. Once the prawns arrived, they were very good and all was well, except that my husband and son had finished their meal several minutes earlier. But, again, I was fine with that. When the bill came, we were disappointed to see that they charged me full price for the prawns! I didn't expect a free meal, but I think it would have been appropriate to charge us $26 (the cost of my original order - flat iron) instead of the $35 cost of prawns. I was told it was the chef's decision when I asked. Pretty crappy customer service at a place I've always raved about. I'm so disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service and good food, but wine prices are quite inflated
This was our first trip to the restaurant. I had the skirt steak with chimichurri, brussels sprouts, and the risotto. The steak was cooked perfectly. It was tender and tasty. The sprouts were excellent, as was the risotto. I would have given a rating of 5 except for a few issues. First, we waited 45 minutes for our meal, and my and my friend's risotto came out 5 minutes later and another friend's fettucine 10 minutes later. The other concern is their wine prices are outrageous. I had a couple of glasses of red zin. It was fine, but it was $14 a glass, and it was a small glass with a small pour. That is Chicago pricing, and you don't see prices that high in many restaurants in this area. Frankly, I love to have a nice glass of wine with a nice meal, but this was a rip off, period.
