not worth your money
I went to this restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday. We were drawn by the option to have dinner and stay at the restaurant to party since we were told there was a DJ on saturday night. We paid $200/person for dinner/drinks and were then told we had to pay another $200/person to go downstairs to party. We managed to negotiate this down to $150/person which is still outrageous. We ended up going somewhere else instead. The food is very average. Not worth your money. The cocktails were good and the restaurant had a good vibe. My recommendation: find another place for your birthday celebration. This place is a bit of a scam.

Had the worst experience here . Went out to celebrate my friends birthday and the hostesses where condescending and outright rude . The food is average at best and definitely not worth it for such terrible treatment from the staff . We paid over 1000k for our dinner and we’re not allowed to go downstairs to the bar .
Be the first to ReplyDon’t chose for bachelorette so many actual gems in NY
Want money only, we’re 11 girls, spent 200$ per person, were trying to kick us out after 1hr 30 min and not letting us order the last of our min order overpriced drinks. Sucked

Worst place ever. The host and whole staff treat visitors as cash machines. It was my birthday and my friends and I decided to have dinner and then come downstairs to the bar. Some of my friends didn’t have dinner, just drinks and the host was pushing them to order food. They told us that if we didn’t pay certain amount of money we wouldn’t be able to get in the bar. That was very rude. We finally ask for food and drinks but after all, they didn’t let us get in the basement. They didn’t care it was my birthday and finally security ask us to leave the place. Worst experience ever!!!!!!!!!!

They have the kind of bouncers/host that will ask you for money to get in. The amount varies depending on your looks. Disgusting place, dishonest people.
Be the first to ReplyCan I get a Side of Delta with that? Oh, Latin American Cuisine- ok make it Lambda.
In New York there were 28,284 new cases and 150 deaths last week. Case rates are accelerating 37.2% each week and death rates are accelerating 48.9% each week over the past 21 days.
Her Name Was Carmen, from 7pm to 10pm maintained over 2500ppm (outside was ~350ppm) of CO2 with between 45-55 people in a basement seating, without ventilation. None of the customers wore masks and even upon entering was told that it wasn't necessary. The only people in the restaurant who wore masks, partially, were the bartenders and the hosts. None of the other staff wore masks. This is amidst a Covid Delta variant that doesn't seem to care if people have been vaccinated or not. I was in a group of 7 but I didn't eat or drink, as I kept my mask on, so I can't comment on the food and the consensus is that it was good and mixed opinion on the drinks. The 2 tables that had nine people each near us seemed to enjoy their evening as well. The bar with a constant minimally 7 people seemed to be satisfied. In any event, it seems that the food here is adequate but rest assure to get a free side of Delta along with it. I should say that I have been vaccinated with 4 doses, 2 from Moderna and 2 from Pfizer. This still doesn't mean that I am safe from Covid.
Good food (although a little pricey) for a NYC hotspot
Usually “trendy” bar-restaurants have below average food but we were pleasantly surprised! The dishes were all pretty good and most cocktails were decent. Had the best time downstairs!
Be the first to ReplyGood food and music
The food was a nice surprise, crowdy place with really cool music. The staff was great (runners, waiters, hosts) except the manager, who was rude since he opened the door.

Visiting from London we came here on a night out with friends that live in NYC. Terrible, horrible experience. Waiting for the bouncer to "select" us to be allowed in (?!), then we were sat at a table downstairs, and forced to buy drinks for $700 as that was the price for "the table". The staff was super rude and came back every 2 minutes to force us to have another bottle of champagne. Seriously, I don't think you'd get as much pushing for a sale in the streets of Mumbai! Totally ruined our night. Can't believe we wasted a night in NY in this horrible place. We couldn't enjoy ourselves one bit, and left actually annoyed.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect for a dinner & drinks night out in NYC
Ambiance was fantastic, with a young fun crowd and great music. Service was impeccable, and this was one of the best meals I've had on a Saturday night in NYC. The charred tomatoes had a mouthwatering smoky flavor; the various raw fish appetizers were delicious, and the spaghetti in truffle butter and clams was a delight, blending flavors from land and sea. The Halibut was flavorful, and the duck was perfectly cooked - tender slices of juicy duck meat with precisely the right amount of delicious fat that melted in the mouth. Paired with white wine and then well prepared cocktails, it was a rare evening to remember.

Restaurant is so overpriced for its portions and quality. Dinner ambiance is boring, dull, and just not buzzing for SOHO standards.
I was disappointed when I asked for the sea urchin pasta (supposedly the star of their menu) and was told that they substituted that dish with a pesto mozzarella pasta. ummm helloooo???? how do these match each other?!
After paying a fortune for an "average joe" dinner, we went to the lounge downstairs and actually had fun. The lounge is popping, it's not overcrowded, and they play nice funky music.
Verdict: go straight to the bar.
