Hands down delicious baked goods. They also do private dining on Saturday evenings for up to 6 guests. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyFood is fantastic.
I have tried the Margherita pizza, the Anchovy pizza and the Squash garlic spicy oil. So delicious. People are very nice and attentive. The place is under construction so just two tables but you can order to go.
Be the first to Reply3.5to go off the other reviews, this is no longer a sit
3.5to go off the other reviews, this is no longer a sit down restaurant but more of a take out fast casual restaurant. Although i wouldn't really call it fast either. Stopped by on a sunday morning a little before 11 am. Was mostly interested in ordering breakfast but the cashier told me that they stop doing breakfast at 11 am. No problem. So I ordered a pizza as well as the pork sandwich. When I asked how long the pizza would take, she told me 20 minutes. I was in no rush so that was not an issue. After about 5 minutes, the cashier tells me that on weekends, they actually do breakfast until 12pm...but she didn't offer to let me substitute the pork sandwich for a breakfast item, which I found a bit peculiar. I guess the cashier was a new employee so once again not a big deal. Only issue I had was I didn't get the pizza until 11:45-11:50. Mind you I had ordered before 11 and was told it would take 20 minutes. Pizza was pretty good. I added mike's hot honey on it once I got home. Pizza 8.2Pork sandwich 6.7 (was very salty)would have been a solid 4 if I was maybe able to order breakfast and wait times were more transparent.

Ended up coming for breakfast because our local bagel joint was closed for the holidays.Could not have been happier because I had the tastiest breakfast sandwiches I've had in many years. The bread and ingredients were phenomenal, we will be coming back very soon.We ordered:- the forager- egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with sausage, avacado and caramelized onions

Picked up breakfast from here a few times while I was staying in an Airbnb nearby - the biscuits were to die for!

Had overlooked this place for a while and seriously regret it now. Ordered two sandwiches for me and my girlfriend (High Street Hoagie, Turkey Goddess) and both were amazing. Bread was outstanding, lots of flavors, two thumbs up.

Like some other reviewers have said, this place needs to update their yelp listings with realistic pictures and expectations on what people will experience. this is a TINY shop with no sit down service or made to order sandwiches, just packaged items.

DELICIOUS and healthy lunch options - the white bean salad is so good and pairs perfectly with their baguette.

Always friendly and good energy in the spot. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

My husband and I stopped here for a quick snack while visiting Philadelphia for the day. We split the chickpea toast and were blown away. So good!!! The toast description made it seem like it would be okay but the presentation and flavor were amazing. I want to go back and try a full meal. This will be my too spot returning to Philadelphia next time.
Be the first to ReplyGood food and wonderful people.
Everything here is delicious! And to update my last review. The man's name who is always there and will treat you better than anyone else, is Jake. What a great guy he is.
Be the first to ReplyGot a really good sandwich on really good bread.
I also got a gazpacho and it came with a side of different -- but also really good -- bread. The gazpacho was a little strong in the tahini / salty flavor in my opinion, but besides that, everything was great
Be the first to ReplyThis is a review of the baked goods we got at the farmers
This is a review of the baked goods we got at the farmers market. First of all, ABSURDLY expensive. $11 for challah and $7 for 2 snickerdoodle cookies. The cookies had orange and cardamom - interesting idea that just flat out does not work for a snickerdoodle, especially when the cookie itself was a bit dry.The challah was good, but strangely sweet and is about as far away from a challah as you can get while still retaining enough challah-ness that you can get away with calling it a challah. Baked way more well done than a regular challah and the wheat used seemed particularly malty/fermented/fancy or something. Not what I was expecting but also not a welcome surprise. When you want a challah, you just want a challah!

THE GOOD: 1) the salad with charred broccoli and blistered grapes is absolutely delicious, and the dressing that comes with it is amazing. I'm actually craving another one now just thinking about it. 2) the buttermilk fried chicken is a solid chicken sandwich. 3) the weird-flavored chocolate bars at the register are dangerously tasty. 4) there was a coconut lentil soup on the menu that I absolutely devoured. I probably could have eaten 2 bowls of it. THE BAD: 1) there was a pasta on the menu that had anchovies in it that was too heavy on the anchovy for my taste. Or maybe I just don't like anchovies that much. 2) the creamy mushroom soup was okay, but texturally boring (how exciting can a creamed soup be, I guess?) THE UGLY: 1) the chicken on my kale Caesar salad was weird, maybe old. I trashed the chicken and the rest of the salad was quite good. Next time I'll just skip the chicken. 2) the block of cheese I bought was wet and moldy on the inside of the packaging when I opened it. I threw it out without eating any. 3) the curd in the fruit tart tasted almost fishy. I took a few bites (the meringue on top was divine) and had to throw out the rest. **It's worth noting that all three of these products were stored on the same open-face cooler shelves. Maybe the cooling system/temperature control isn't working properly? I was told the menu changes often. I might come back again if I'm in the area, but I'd look very closely at anything from the refrigerated shelves before purchasing it next time.

I got an olive loaf here over the weekend and it was sooooo delicious! Completely filled with olives. 2 of us ate it in an hour because it was that good. Gotta come back and try some of their other offerings.
Be the first to ReplyI've had the pizza before, and it was phenomenal.
I just stopped in for a snack and grabbed the basque cheesecake. It's rich but not heavy, and had a great flavor (and was reasonably priced)! I have to come back more often.

The pasta, pizza, cake, and soup we got here were all delicious! However I wouldn't recommend sitting in and eating here in the winter because each time the door opened it brought in the coldest draft.
Be the first to ReplyNot sure where you report inaccuracies about a business.
But this place is no longer a full service restaurant since they've moved but is now a deli style place with two very small and tight tables by the window. No wait staff. Nothing from the pictures posted on yelp. Just prepackaged sandwiches and salads. I was very disappointed because I selected this place based on reviews and PICTURES on yelp. This listing is of an old location and frankly a completely different business at this point, and therefore an inaccurate/misleading representation of the current ย business.

This continues to be one of my most favorite restaurants to eat at or get delivery from. Their pastrami is house smoked and amazing. I just ordered the smoked mushroom, fried egg pizza for the second time... possibly one of the best pizzas ever... and I frequent all of the popular pizza spots in Philly, including the one that begins with a "B" in Fishtown. Seriously, this pizza truly rivals.... The broccoli salad, kale Caesar with tahini Caesar dressing is off the hook, too. The coconut lentil soup is also insane... theirs breads are incredible... and the sweet treats. I am a lifelong fan
Be the first to ReplyI have to say I was disappointed in their quality control.
I ordered cinnamon buns through gold belly from this place. Amazing reviews and I was so excited. We received them quickly and on time, however half of them (8 pack) were way overdone. I would think that when you're shipping your cinnamon buns across the country (literally) you'd want to send your best rolls, not the ones you likely wouldn't sell in your restaurant. The ones that weren't burnt tasted great, just not sure it was worth the cost for 4.
