Tasty with average service
We loved the tasty options/fresh veggies and tried quite a few. Our server was good, but slow, and after advertising a dish turned out they had run out of it! Overall, great, but their home-made brioche served with fried chicken reminded us of MacDonald's fried sandwich. Unfortunate, we know, but that is how it tasted to us. Also, after all the fuss they had made on their site about types of hats worn, etc. the clientele seemed rather informal after all!

I visited the honor bar at Montecito on Monday June 20, 2022 along with my family at 5:30 in afternoon for a quick dinner. We were a party of 4 plus my 18 months old granddaughter. We were seated inside near the bar with high noise level. We ordered a round of drinks plus some appetizer and entree for our table and our server was H. Bailey. My granddaughter was in playful mode and was playing and talking a little louder than usual but no crying or anything to disturb other guests. after 30 mins in middle of our dinner the hostess walks up to the table and say the baby is too loud and she is disturbing other guests and if we could take her outside for a walk or do something about it. I didn't say anything at first but let the server know that was unacceptable for hostess to come to our table and say that. She was not crying, she was not loud to trigger a response from her or her manager and the bar was too loud to begin with. She later came to apologize for the behavior and i said what are apologizing for and her reply was because you're upset. I have never been treated anywhere in last 30 years in my life nor i have ever treated anyone being in restaurant industry for over 40 years like that. That is shameful policy and conduct on part of your staff and manager. later the manager came to the table emphasizing his decision that we are not child friendly restaurant and you should have reviewed our web site before come in. I don't believe Marissa Bloom the real manager was there and the assistance manager poorly handled this situation. our bill was $181.62 and i left $30.00 tip for H. Bailey because she was the only one kept apologizing for this conduct. So sad to be discriminated against because we spoke a different language and had a happy baby with us at your restaurant. We are repeated visitor at your other restaurants in Orange County and i am sad to say we will not go back again. Here is the corporate response; Thank you for writing, Mark, and we apologize for your disappointment. We do consider the atmosphere in the restaurant an integral part of our guests’ experience, and will proactively address any excess volume in order to preserve the ambiance for all and If a small child or baby's volume is a distraction at our manager’s discretion in the dining room, we will suggest taking them outside as a solution but it is never our intention to offend. We also want to assure you this applies to all our guests and speaking a different language is not a factor whatsoever. We regret if our approach was misconstrued and are sorry if the conversation was not well delivered or received. Thank you again for reaching out and the opportunity to respond. Kind regard's Jessica Treadway You judge …..,,,,

Be the first to ReplyBest Burger in Town
Hands down the best hamburger in Santa Bárbara COUNTY. This is a great place for maximum exposure to the limousine liberal culture of Montecito. Highly recommended. Great cookies to go

Long wait for mediocre drinks and not good food. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Way overpriced as well
Be the first to ReplyBurger and bar food
Interesting bar food options available from burgers to fish sandwiches to omelet and veggie sandwich with fries. Gourmet flavor and large portions. Perfect place to have cocktails and visit with friends. Get there early if you want a patio table outside. This hot spot fills fast!

Be the first to ReplyA MUST GO
It was our first night in Montecito and we found this great little hangout near our hotel. It was so great we went back a second time during our stay. The menu is small - which makes it easier to pick something - and everything we got was so delicious. And what made it even better was the service. Lawrence was our first server and he totally went above and beyond our expectations. He talked with us and gave us suggestions for other places to eat in the area. He was friendly and polite and every restaurant should hire 10 just like him. Our second visit was just as good. While we were hoping to get back into Lawrence's section we did get the second best server named Hannah and Shae (who served us cocktails first). Again, everyone was so friendly and kind. It makes all the difference in the world when choosing a place to eat. This place is a MUST and please ask for Lawrence or Hannah and tell them we sent you.
Good Food - Better Service
The Honor Bar is part of the Hillstone group with many great restaurants we have frequented in the past. The Honor Bar was no exception.
Nice corner location in Montecito with patio dining. Long waits for lunch and some tables do not have shade covers or umbrellas. Moderate to expensive food dishes and cocktails. Great service from all. Food very tasty, although a very simple/small choice of menu items. No reservations at brunch. Recommend arriving before noon or plan on a 30-45 minute wait. Great choice if you are looking for good food.
Cute place
I arrived in Monticeto too early for check-in at the Rosewood Miramar Beach resort, so I stopped by the charming downtown village area for a look. I first looked at Jeannine's for breakfast, but it was late morning and the place was packed, especially with social distancing. I then wandered by the Honor Bar next door, and they were just opening (11am) . The place is petite to begin with and made even less so with every other table blocked off inside and on the patio.
I enjoyed my fried chicken sandwich and side of fries, served with ketchup and a chipotle mayo. This was my first meal in a restaurant in almost 3 months! Santa Barbara County partially reopened earlier than LA County.
