Hôtel Costes Paris Reviews from The Last Year
Classy business meetings
We went for a cocktail business meeting. It turned quite fruitful. The service was immaculate. The waitresses very presentable. The hotel is gorgeous in its interior design. I had the Mai Tai cocktail and i must say, as a very particular customer, that it was one of the best i ever had. Keep up the good work.
Arrogant and annoyed service staff
Hotel Costes is an In Place in Paris at an excellent location in rue castiglione close to place vendôme Trendy interiors and small cosy rooms Let’s say very small rooms! Reception was confused and not really professional. Three to five young ladies in miniskirts or tight dresses are standing around as lobby decoration but don’t attribute to lift up the service level. The service especially in the restaurant was not professional, arrogant and unfriendly. An absurd contradiction to the the outrageously expensive prices. The food was ok but not excellent. In relation to the hilarious prices it was actually quite poor. Pool was closed and noisy construction work was in progress .During the night you could hear the music from the basement. At the check out nobody asked about the quality of the stay or customer satisfaction. Not a word about hoping to welcome the guests again. Not even one friendly or charming comment. Only arrogant and annoyed attitude. Altogether a frustrating experience . I would recommend to hire a management with professional skills maybe from ecole. d‘hôtellerie in Lausanne .
Robbed by the hotel
We write to express our profound disappointment with our recent stay at this hotel. We are long-time, loyal guests who have always enjoyed your establishment's amenities and service. However, our most recent visit left us feeling more than dissatisfied. Upon our arrival, we were informed that we had inadvertently booked an additional room, which was never confirmed by us. Despite this, we were charged for the additional booking and told that the Director, who was not present, would handle the situation. We are charged an additional 1000 euros for a reservation we did not make. We are feeling robbed and taken advantage of, with no one from the staff willing to listen to our concerns or provide a satisfactory resolution. Moreover, several of the hotel's amenities, such as the elevator and spa center, were not functioning properly. No one was available to assist us, which made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable. As loyal guests who have spent considerable time and money at your establishment, we expected better treatment and service.
Horrible , Criminal , misogynistic. I am sad how many people they abuse
This is the first time I write review on Trip Advisor . As I am so disappointed, I stayed in this hotel a lot as we liked the ambience and were friends with owners . But yesterday I experienced something I never did in my life , I believe staff is covering a theft of my Cartier rings . Services are misogynistic and harassing . Never checked the cameras to resolve stolen 2 Carrie rings , instead humiliated me and would not release my luggage until I paid for the bottle of Champagne which was gifted to me first, and I never asked for it , we are wealthy and can pay for our own drinks . I was so shocked and delayed I missed my flight . I will report to police of course but it’s very bad service and unprofessional practices . Not to mention that in their Le Matignon Club , staff deals A class DRUGS TO THE CUSTOMERS which is disgusting. Highly do not recommend, and never be back .
worst hotel in the world
very disappointed. The room is super small and not very clean (i found some hair on my sheets). Also very noisy (you can hear the neighbours speaking). The hotel staff is rude. The breakfast is like a 2 stars hotel.. My first and last time here!
From Charming to Cold: A Disheartening Experience at Hotel Costes
Dear Hotel Costes Management, As avid patrons of Hotel Costes, we have made it a tradition to visit each year during our trips to Paris. However, our recent visit has left us disheartened and reconsidering our loyalty to your establishment. To begin with, the closure of the lovely entrance on Rue Saint Honore was an unexpected inconvenience. Entering through Rue de Castiglione to gain access felt less inviting and took away from the charm we had grown to associate with your hotel. Upon entering, we were unpleasantly surprised by the new check-in process at the lobby reception, specifically for patrons seeking only a drink at the bar. The demeanor of the staff was particularly disappointing, as they exuded an unwarranted air of arrogance, as if we were intruding on their home. It is disheartening to note that the warmth and welcoming atmosphere we once cherished at Hotel Costes seems to have been replaced by an aloof and indifferent attitude. In addition to this, our interaction with the staff left us feeling as though we were being looked down upon as if our presence was an inconvenience rather than a welcomed visit. This shift in attitude has significantly tarnished our perception of Hotel Costes. Despite our attempt to make the most of our visit, the ambiance felt cold and the overall experience lacked the charm that drew us to Hotel Costes in the first place. We made a purchase of 300 euros worth of candles and room spray, but the regrettable encounter with the staff overshadowed any enjoyment we might have derived from our time at your establishment. Hotel Costes has held a special place in our hearts for years. Unfortunately, the recent changes and the demeanor of your staff have left us with no choice but to reconsider our future visits. I sincerely hope you take this feedback into consideration and work towards restoring the warmth and charm that made Hotel Costes a standout destination in Paris.
Worst Hotel In The Free World
Hotel Costes is run by filthy, rude, arrogant and disgusting staff who delude themselves that it is a privilege to use their services. Those cowards forgot they still have a hotel and bar thanks to the English speaking tourists they abuse. VISIT SOME OTHER COUNTRY, SOME OTHER HOTEL - They don't deserve your money.
AVOID STAYING AT HOTEL COSTES
Hotel costses is a TERRIBLE hotel with expensive and tiny rooms — AVOID. I was suppose to stay here for 6 nights but upon checking in I found out the room /hotel had a STRONG incense smell. I could not breathe and could not fathom even staying the night but since they charged my credit card upfront for all six nights, i was told by their manager on duty ( very unhelpful and discourteous male) that evening that I should stay the night and hope for a refund of the other 5 nights the next day. Yes, BEWARE unlike most other hotels they take payment upfront! I didn’t sleep all night and had to open the window to breathe despite the 50 degrees Fahrenheit cold. I made it my priority the next day to speak to the management and they said they would refund me for the 5 nights. I honestly felt like something was sketchy about their mannerism ( and the fact that they took all 6 nights upfront when I checked into the hotel which is something I’ve never experienced at many other hotels worldwide). As such I insisted on having all the receipts and documentation. A week later and the refund still did not show up on my credit card so I emailed the hotel and spoke with Michael who kept reassuring me the refund has been processed. Fast forward 2 weeks later and the refund still hasn’t shown on my card. The hotel management keeps giving me the same answer everytime I email them. These people keep saying they’ve refunded me but the money still isn’t back on my credit card. There is something really sketchy going on here as refunds do not usually take this long to show up on credit cards. I really think that they have been deceptive and dishonest with the situation. I have asked them for documentation on their side showing that the refund has been processed but they have not provided this. I have NEVER had a refund taken as long as it has and this entire experience has compounded in how exceptionally awful Hôtel costes is. Additionally, the room was incredibly small. I had one full size suitcase which could not fit in the room. Their room was also really dimly lit and I, a female with 20/20 vision, could not see properly even with all the lights on. The room was stuffy and had no air circulation. In fact I had to call the hotel mechanic at 3am to troubleshoot the issue as I literally could not breathe. Even he could not properly navigate around the room due to how dimly lit it was. The hotel was not the 5 star luxurious hotel it advertised to be. I will be sharing my terrible experience with everyone of my friends, family and all of social media so that nobody has to experience the horrible time that I’ve had with hotel costes.
Romantic getaway
Romantic getaway with my wife. From the moment one enters the property , one feels cushioned in luxury. Lights are dim, beautifully decorated, wonderful smells and music. Rooms are amazingly decorated and cozy. Food very tasty and well presented. Service in the restaurant was a little rushed and mechanical but didn't take anything away from the offering. Decor in the entire property is jaw dropping.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
