Hôtel***-Restaurant Ricordeau Loué Reviews from The Last Year
Go there without hesitation
A perfect welcome, first by email then in person, a room with a beautiful decoration, very quiet, an absolutely delicious dinner and a breakfast the way we like it, you can go there with your eyes closed. Without forgetting the caring staff
Family meal
A dinner organized for the parents’ 70th birthday. Meal for 7. Superb setting inside, attentive welcome, faultless service throughout the meal, great meal itself, a choice of wines to match, surprise cake which had its effect. From the region, I highly recommend.
Hotel to renovate
The hotel is to be completely renovated. The rooms are in their original state and the cleanliness leaves something to be desired. We pay a lot for a completely outdated hotel. Too bad because the quality of the food in the restaurant is very excellent.
A stop towards Brittany which relaxes and allows an immersion in this small village with a great dinner at the bistro. A.
Absolute calm in our room overlooking the garden, not even the crowing of the rooster in the morning...just the bells. A delicious dinner and a hearty international breakfast. The welcome was warm and we were even able to buy one of the pottery furnishing the hall and our room. A big thank-you.
For one night
On the way back we stopped to rest. the village is not particularly attractive. we had a room with a view of the village but above all on a road where the speed limit is not respected. The room was cute and harmonious - the bathroom with a sink that had probably been cracked for a while, too bad. We did not dine in the restaurant but in the hotel annex. decent breakfast in a very pretty room.
Exceptional
A warm welcome, a calm and peaceful setting, a little garden paradise, a comfortable and beautifully presented room, a high quality restaurant, pleasant staff. Who could wish for more!
A step worth the detour
It's been a long time since I last commented on Tripadvisor, but today I would like to give my opinion on the services of this establishment. The dinner, creative, was perfect (you have to try the langoustine ravioli-perfect egg-slats of absolutely delicious truffle). The decor and tableware are tasteful, the service is professional and friendly without being familiar. Our room was simple but well equipped and very clean, the breakfast prepared with fresh products (fruit salad among others) and pastries of rare quality The welcome at the hotel was as professional and pleasant as the service in the restaurant. Note the continued presence of the director, efficient and discreet.
A truly French experience
A charming hotel. We stopped en route from the UK Midlands that morning. Loué is a small village but well-kept and has that feel of pride in its public places that UK villages so often lack. The hotel has a fine-dining restaurant but that was closed on our Tuesday and we ate in the bistro next door (through a connecting internal door). The charming dining room overlooks the terrace and garden and is where breakfast is served. The owners and staff are all pleasant and relaxed. The dinner at the bistro was in the small courtyard (there is an inside room and bar as well) with perhaps 10 tables. The menu isn’t huge but the quality was high. Goats cheese salad, chicken (for which Loué is well-known) supreme and clafoutis, washed down with a local Bergerac red. A poor start to our travel day (a lorry fire on the M40 delaying us by 90 minutes and our tunnel crossing by nearly 3 hours) was immediately redeemed by a perfectly French evening. The room was comfortable, with a good bathroom and linen.
Delightful hotel
Lovely traditional hotel In beautiful area of France. The room was comfortable and very clean. The hotel building is interesting and full of character. This is not an identikit modern travel hotel. The grounds are extensive and impressively maintained with a pond and a river to walk/sit by. The pool is convenient and great for hot weather. The gastronomic restaurant was great with excellent food and wine. What more could you want? Would definitely return.
Our room was not at the rxpected standard for this hôtel?
We are rating the hôtel and not the bistro "la table du coq". We found the room not clean enough, with lots of dust in corners of the room, the toilettes were not clean and smelly.. The "terrasse " need à good cleaning as well, there was a distinct impression of neglect... Perhaps the Covid has negatively impacted the standard of the hôtel but it would be important not to rely only on the réputation of the gastronomique restaurant.
