Can't compare this place to the Japan location.
I order extra firm and it came out soggy. I won't recommend this place
Be the first to ReplyLiterally amazing! I've wanted to come here for many years
Literally amazing! I've wanted to come here for many years after hearing about how famous this place is in Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan! Finally got to come here on a Monday night, was seated immediately with my friend in the private booths next to each other. I got veggie ramen and my friend got the regular tonkatsu, we both got the eggs. The eggs are a MUST in the ramen I will say. Broth was super delicious, I had the spiciest level, definitely spicy enough for me. Portion sizes were also great! Can't wait to come back here, worth the hype.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for the first time in two years and the quality
Came here for the first time in two years and the quality is just as good as I remember! Love that we're able to choose if we want the solo dining experience or to sit at a table. My family and I decided to sit at the solo booths to get the full Ichiran experience! Ramen was as delicious as ever and love that you're able to customize the noodle texture, broth richness/saltiness, and spice. My personal favorite is getting the extra firm noodles and 10x spice -- heavenly!!If you're going on a weekend, make sure to come early or be prepared to wait ~30mins because this place is always super busy and by the time we left, there was even a line outside!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious, perfect if you want tasty simple ramen.
Long wait times because there's not that many seats. Servers are attentive and gratuity is included.
Be the first to Replybest damn ramen i've ever had.
went well with a mug of sapparo!

This shit is legendary; I literally don't get ramen anywhere else now. Service is super friendly & welcoming ! The ambiance is as peaceful as one can hope for in a place that tunes in on individual experience !
Be the first to ReplyI go here all the time love the food and definitely love
I go here all the time love the food and definitely love the whole setup of the restaurant. When I can't sit in I get it to go and it still tastes great. The staff is very friendly and respectful. This restaurant is definitely a place you can go to alone and enjoy a nice meal.
Be the first to ReplyNothing like some ramen on a cold winter day.
I went with some co-workers and we waited on line outside of the restaurant. They gave us menus to write on where we were able to choose how soft or firm we wanted our noodles, how rich we wanted the broth, and what toppings we wanted added (garlic, scallion, sliced pork). We even got to choose what drink we wanted. Twenty minutes after turning in our menus, we were seated and immediately given our drinks. The ramen came very shortly after. The amazing part of the entire thing was the silence that ensued as we all sat and devoured our ramen. I loved every bit of it. I also love that it's a no-tip establishment and that the staff gets paid a wage. Very cool.

This place was incredible! Had to wait for about 15-20 mins outside in the cold before being leg into the waiting room, due to it being a Friday night, but we'll worth the wait! Something to be said for a place that serves a limited number of things; all of them executed extremely well. Highly recommend the premium tubiyota (sp?). Dry Asahi on draft was the way to go for me. Killer food. Atmosphere was chill and unique.

Ichiran never disappoints! Except for the extremely long wait. We thought that this location wouldn't be as busy as the locations in Manhattan, but after waiting outside for 45 minutes (thinking that was the entire line), we were surprised to see that there was another line INSIDE the waiting area, so we waited over 1.5 hours. I wish they had signs outside to let people know the estimated wait-line. Everyone is extremely nice and the bathrooms are very clean with a unique display of like 10+ toilet paper rolls on the wall. As for the food, it is always amazing! That's why we're always willing to wait. I love that you can choose how salty, garlicky, thick you want the broth. Their eggs are also soft-boiled to perfection. My boyfriend ordered a side of rice with his ramen this time and actually loved eating with the extra pork slices.
Be the first to ReplyA famous ramen place totally worth the hype.
The setup is interesting--there's always a wait (even later on a winter Monday night) so they give you cute menu orders to fill out what you want while you wait, which is easy since they only have pork broth and vegetarian broth ramen (with some add ons). I got the veggie ramen with nearly all the vegetarian fixings (seaweed, egg, some hot sauce, etc.) and it was probably the best ramen I've ever had! Super savory, ultimate comfort food, very decadent and HEAVY. I think the pork ramen was even more so. I finished the whole thing and was stuffed. There was plenty of salt and maybe too much for some folks. Price is a little high but worth it and tip is included. Just know what you're getting into when you come here!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely unique dining experience any ramen enthusiast
Absolutely unique dining experience any ramen enthusiast should experience. The ramen will be tailor-made to your exact preference which is a really nice way to enjoy a special meal. The timing of your noodles is down to an exact science and dictates the ordering and seating times. The service is fantastic. There are often lines outside of the restaurant so beware when you come. Dining here with one other or no group is ideal. The booths are designed in a unique way to give you all the privacy and comfort of solo doing with none of the weirdness. The ramen was a bit on the expensive end for a bowl in my opinion, however this is a non tipping establishment so the prices do seem fair.
Be the first to ReplyBest ramen you will ever have.
No reservations and sometimes the wait can get quite long but it's worth it.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is outstanding.
The best ramen ever and I have had my fair share of ramen from living in NYC, PDX, OR, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Plus, I love the ordering system in place. This location is great and so fun. It's not a big place and the seating is a little compact, but it works. You basically sit down at a counter, that has walled removal partitions, so if you are with someone, you two can dine together next to one another, but in front of you is where the food is served, through another partition. Kind of like an old peep show. The noodles are the best, the add on's - go for the pork - you will thank me. I thanked someone who told me to order and I was like, no I don't really want it but was I glad I did. You can also order their ramen kits to be mailed to you. No pork but you can make it at home and get the extra fixings at your local Asian market. Can't wait to go next time I am in NYC.
Be the first to ReplyJapan knows what's up and so does NYC.
I'm such a fan of the concept of Ichiran - definitely an introvert and a foodies dream. I came here to dine alone and didn't feel awkward for one second. They really need to have more restaurants like this that encourage single person dining. I ordered the recommended veggie set, and I loved all the toppings. My favorites were the soft boiled egg since it was perfectly soft boiled, and the ramen noodles which were chewy but soft. The spicy broth slapped so hard on a cold and rainy day when I had this, I enjoyed myself way too much here. Price is slightly steep with a $20-25 meal, but you don't have to tip!
Be the first to Replyi am a huge ramen fan and these noodles were the best
i am a huge ramen fan and these noodles were the best noodles I have had in forever. the broth is so good. Spicy and deep with flavor. I find other ramen places trying too hard to make it special. But simple always wins for me. If you want to try the best noodles in ramen and a nice umami flavour in the soup, this is a must try. Perfect Ramen!
Be the first to ReplyVery frustrating attempt to order takeout.
They said we had to order online, even though we were at the restaurant. The website requires signing into an app which didn't work. No matter how many times we tried to save the order there was nothing in our basket. We gave up.
Be the first to ReplyBeen coming here since 2019.
Such an experience each time. You should know there is always a line to enter and a line once you get in but BOYYYY Is the Ramen one of the most genuine you will ever experience in NYC. For starters they have a nicely decorated waiting area which is accurately spaced for Covid standards. You can also sit in a booth or a table depending on your preference. Prices are really affordable. The workers are always so friendly and accommodating. I also really liked the fact that the customers and workers here are diverse. They have a vegetarian ramen for those who do not eat pork. They have an amazing selection of sake and everything is prepared fresh as ordered. You can come here by yourself and nobody will judge you. I really loved that you can customize the noodles, toppings and spiciness. I wish they had other flavors of ramune and a seated waiting area outside though.
Be the first to ReplyBest ramen in nycSupervisor Jose amazing service and food.
Definitely recommend for a night out with your loved one.
Be the first to ReplyI love the ambiance with the little booths.
How it gives you privacy if you're by yourself and that they can open to accommodate more than one person. The ramen was delicious. A little spicy but you can ask for a custom made ramen for your taste.

I've been to Ichiran multiple times in Japan, so I was excited to try this place. After waiting one hour outside, I was excited to step inside the restaurant, but I was led to another waiting area where I sat for 30 more minutes. The ordering process and ramen taste was pretty on par with other locations, but I feel like the portion size is smaller. I had to order an extra set of noodles to feel full.
