Worst Italian Ever
We went there with my friend C. Just after our plane. The restaurant was recommended by the park hyatt hotel. First we arrive and it was noisy like 95db, my friend and I wanted to go but give them a chance… Ordering….what is this menu?vegan couscous… No real pastas We chose a salad vegan (26$) and a smoked burrata(32$) to start and a follina beer (33cl for 22$!!!) A sparkling water 12$ Waiters are here to push you to drink more, they refill your glass Here comes the worst ever Pacceri genovese (35$) we have been waiting for pastas ages, after more than 25 minutes, I asked them how long it will take or we will pay what we eat and we go. They are telling us it takes time (come on pastas!!!) so they argue and the. After a time and discussion pastas came. I said too long we go, they offered us a solution and I say too noisy for us they moved us after discussion to the bar to discover the famous paccheri pastas and they were not cooked (crudo), so we pay and we leave (99$). If you want italian try another restaurant
Be the first to ReplyVery enjoyable Italian
This is a very busy and highly regarded Italian on 54th street. Entry from the basement level. Food is really excellent as is the service. Recommended.
Be the first to ReplyService top notch. Food left something to be desired.
The waitstaff were some of the friendliest, most attentive people I’ve ever met. They were absolutely lovely. However, both myself and my party felt the food was overpriced and not nearly as good as we anticipated. Definitely a mismatch in that regard which was a bummer. Additionally, the venue itself isn’t worth mentioning as the ambiance didn’t achieve its full potential either.
Be the first to ReplyVERY GOOD
Everything is good, the service meets the quality of the food, but in fact that’s not a Michelin’s star restaurant. Unfortunately, the prices are a little bit overrated, and that’s the only reason I don’t give 5*. But it is a nice place, calm, cosy and where you are warmly received. Very good.

Il Gattopardo was a supreme let-down for us. Considering the multitude of options in NYC, we left the restaurant feeling like we made a mistake. Amongst a laundry list of complaints, here is what stands out to me: - The dishes showed no creativity and plating presentation was absent (my risotto looked like prison slop on a plate) - The bread served before the meal had no taste - The server brought me the wrong wine twice - The front desk required my assistance in locating our checked coats after the meal (told us the coat numbers get messed up sometimes) - While nervously waiting for them to find our coats after the meal, a large hostess literally pushed my wife out of the way to get through without using her voice or offering a simple "excuse me" - The bar was not stocked with my first or second choice of after-dinner drink options despite them being on the menu - It was difficult to get service when needed, and the entire meal was incredibly slow. We sat at our table with menus for around 10-15 minutes before being greeted by our server. Wine was easily another 15 minutes before it hit the table. One good thing: The octopus was cooked perfectly. Frankly, I feel like submitting this place to Kitchen Nightmares so they can get some help.

Wonderful food, wine, service and atmosphere. Service was completely professional, atmosphere was romantic, food selection particularly the specials on the menu were terrific.
Be the first to ReplyCharming hidden gem in NYC
This charming restaurant located inside of a Rockefeller townhouse is a hidden gem. You walk in and it almost feels like a private club. The host Martina and Lisa are very welcoming. They checked my coat and sat me right away. As soon as I sat down the I was served water and the menus promptly arrived. Pascal the server was very informed and professional. He even had knowledge of the neighborhood and building. He made great recommendations as I got the smoked burrata and a slow roasted pork pasta. Oh, let’s not forget the Mezcal Mule, it’s the perfect take on the Moscow mule. Dessert was a show it self a concoction was whisked away table side and poured over berries. Towards the end the Chef came out, made his rounds and said hi. Gabriel the GM and his team are doing a wonderful job.
Be the first to ReplyLovely ambience, service and food, expensive wine list
We booked this place having walked past on one occasion and decided to try it. We chose to sit outside as there was an enclosed area with heaters and it seemed a little crowded and noisy inside.
The service and food were superb, our only issue was the wine list which was ridiculously overpriced. We selected a mid-price wine that was bang average and not as good as some we have at home, bought from the supermarket. I know restaurants like to make a profit on wine but this is just extortion in my opinion,
A tremendous restaurant
This restaurant is superb. The service is amazing and the food is fabulous. There is complimentary bread, an amuse bouche and a couple of biscotti to finish. I will return here on my next visit -to NYC!
Be the first to ReplyRacist Manager Luigi- People of Color Not Welcome atIl Gattopardo
I had the most awful experience at Il Gattapardo. I am a woman of color and was told by the host Luigi that I could only eat outside (even though I had made a reservation inside). I was escorted outside to a cold seat. My blonde friend showed up and suddenly we were moved inside after she asked. He was extremely nice and polite to her and completely shunned me (I have had this happen sadly before in my life but never feels pleasant). I was not even asked how the food was and when we left Luigi spoke to my friend and completely ignored me. The food was delicious. The restaurant was filled with an all white clientele (this is to be expected sometimes in Manhattan) but it has been a long time where I have felt such blatant racism and prejudice. Sadly, I will not be returning. If you are a person of color or friend of people of color- I would not frequent this restaurant.

Great location with beautiful winter garden seating in front. The service was wonderful, and the food was perfect. You can absolutely tell that they value quality ingredients. Not stuffy or pretentious!
Be the first to ReplyFantastic
Our friends love the Il Gattopardo and invited us to join them in our most recent visit to NYC. All I can say is wow! From the excellent wine list and the very fresh food to the amazing staff, out visit was extraordinary. We were made to feel so welcome and attended to. My wife had a lobster ravioli that was phenomenal and, honestly, the rabbit was out of this world. It is worth the trip.

Food was good but not over the top. Did have some unique presentations that set it aside from others in the pack but not certain it’s worth twice the price. Service was a bit slow at times. Sat outside in the heated tent. Would have been good but the servers kept leaving the doors open. We got up 3 times to close them. Wound up going from comfortable to freezing and back throughout the meal. Wait staff kept saying that this was “real Italian” and if it did not pass muster it was because we were not familiar with how dishes are supposed to taste. Having toured Italy I can safely say the chef had some hits and misses.

Beautifully situated and conveniently located authentic Southern Italian restaurant close to Radio City Music Hall. Incredibly delicious meal of lobster raviolis, grilled chicken and seafood dish. Service was wonderful. Have already discussed going back on our next return trip to NYC. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Be the first to ReplyGreat cozy restaurant
We are visiting from Costa Rica. We bumped into this cozy restaurant in our walk thru the city, had no reservations, but they still managed to get us a table in the enclosed terrace that sits outside. Food was great, from the drinks up to the dessert, and the service was even better. I wanted to have a pasta they usually only serve for brunch, but they pleased me anyways at dinner with no hesitation. My husband lobster ravioli was also very good. The waitresses were very kind and helpful. Highly recommend this place!
