Poor food
I don't know why people wrote a good review? Maybe I am not lucky. Interior is good, service is perfect. But food... Food is terrible. We took 7 courses deal from 4pm to 7pm. Poor celection; no salad, no meat (just ground lamb in tonns of lemon -impossible to eat), no soups, no bread. Table has not enaph silverware, no solt, no pepper , no dressing. Simple. Restaurant was enpty.

5 stars is not enough for this gem, I would give it 10 if I could. The second we sat down we were bombarded with service, in a good way. They brought out some bruschetta, fried zucchini and a Parmesan cheese that I would fight my mom for. We had the octopus to start, fantastic. For the mains we had the Scampi Oreganata and the Rigatoni Alla Bolognese. If this was my last meal, I’d die a happy man. As we were undecided for dessert, they brought us a little platter with 3 options, chefs kiss. Overall, the restaurant is super intimate and is the perfect place to bring a loved one. I’m finding any excuse to come dine there again, bravo!

The last time we went from brunch was almost two years ago and a lovely menu style but fixed cost. Now it’s back to a buffet. Really very standard buffet and not worth the price point at all. The salad bar in my daughter’s school is more opulent! Roast pork was dry and a freshly craved sausage was cold. Dessert was a lot of pies.. just after a week of pies after thanksgiving. I asked what one pie was and told it was apple, then again that it was a plain pie, then it was pumpkin - it turned out to be none of these, it was some kind of cheese and orange? Worst part - the staff member behind the cake buffet/bar was wiping his nose on his sleeve! I think this is meant to be a five star hotel! Overall service was lacking. Much nicer brunches to be had in Miami and this was very sadly disappointing as it used to be a lovely location..
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Italian Restaurant
Outstanding Italian restaurant in Sunny Isles. We had been to its location when it was on South Beach. This location has two areas to sit in--one inside and one outside that is covered with a great view of the pool. The food and service is fantastic. If you want something prepared that is not on the menu and they have the ingredients they will accommodate you. It was a perfect mean and night. I highly recommend the linguine ala vongole--the best I have ever had.
Be the first to ReplyGreat restaurant with inapt and unprofessional valet service!!!
Great restaurant, beware of their valet!!! For the second time in 4 months they managed to misplace our car keys. In April they found the keys after about 45 minutes. Yesterday evening they did not find the keys!!! We had to take an Uber to our apartment and return with a set of spare keys.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Anniversary Dinner
My wife and I enjoyed an incredible 18th anniversary dinner at Il Mulino. We had a 7:30 reservation and were greeted by multiple staff and ushered to our table where a hand signed anniversary card from the staff and roses awaited us. From there, we enjoyed free appetizers, an amazing meal, celebratory desserts. Ricotta cheese cake my wife's favorite dessert she's ever had. Our servers were not only intentional and kind, but incredibly attentive and engaged. We loved our interactions with Santiago, Rickey, and Jimi. The dinner captain was very polite and helpful as well. Incredible servers and genuinely seemed to care about us as people. As a fun bonus, they prepare the pasta right in front of you. We loved our experience (we ended up eating here a second time during our stay at Acqualina) and can't wait to return!
Be the first to ReplyBrunch- far from a good experience
Extremely poor selection of food., far from high standard service. Desert section was very sloppy, untidy , waiters dont pay any attention , not mentioning it wasn't even tasty , like from a cheap grocery story. After spending 650$ for 3 people and leaving hungry certainly not ever coming back. Miami restaurants are going down with a quality of food and services.
Be the first to ReplyEverything that we ordered and the staff suggested paired magnificently. One of the better Branzino's I ever experienced on eart
The entire staff was impeccable. From the hostess to the chef, our family was served "in house" bread to grappa. Hands down top five best restaurants in South Florida. Dietary restrictions were addressed at the entrance and everyone's desires were met and exceeded.
Be the first to ReplyWhat happened to this fantastic venue?? It’s going to take more than a remodel to get patrons back in this place!
Let me start by saying that Il Mulino in NYC is an institution. Do not let this review be a representation of the brand - but rather this location. Management is non-existent. The establishment is in desperate need of: 1) new management 2) training the staff 3) a bug zapper Their “unlimited brunch” is unlimited as long as you want the same 4 items. Food quality is mediocre at best. For $110 a person - this is highway robbery. When I finally met our waitress and asked about eggs Benedict - her answer was - sometimes we have them - but not today. This place has fallen from grace, as it used to be one of the best brunches in Sunny Isles. This wasn’t just a bad day. This is the beginning of what should be a tragic ending for this place. For a place that used to be the best - they have lost that title. Save yourself the money and go to Denny’s. At least there - you’ll get your money’s worth.

Spectacular venue Spectacular service Great music Great vibe Literally the very best meal I have had in miami and I regularly dine in places such as prime 112, the palm , bourbon steak, NOBU, Avra, carpaccio etc. The GM is accommodating and the servers are as professional as the come Aqualina is an incredible venue as well
Be the first to ReplyLooking good
Pretentious patrons value looking good in front of other good looking people. That's what Il Mulino is selling. The food is B-guality at A+-prices. The staff is 100% trying to get the best tip possible, so much so they disguise the included tip, hoping that customers double tip. 90% of they're diners will never return, inching us.
Be the first to ReplyI cant wait to come back!!!!!
What can i say about being treated like family? At the door the amazing gentleman Carlos was welcoming and kind with a heart warming smile. he recommendedan amazingred wine to go with my meal. Anthony and Jimmy were so amazing. Suggesting the amazing dishes and very knowledgeable. The conversations and experience with all the staff I encountered were something special. Now to the octopus OMG. crispy on the outside tender on the inside potatoes white wine sauce capers and olives maybe one of the best Octopus dishes I've ever had. We weren't too hungry, just cocktails and an app but the service was the star of the show!! I can't wait to come back and enjoy a full dinner!!!!! Highly recommended!!!!!!!
Be the first to ReplyExtremely disappointing
I am sad to write this review because this used to be one of our favorite restaurants in the Miami area and we have dined here many times over the years, but after today's experience, we won't be back. In the past the service has been outstanding, but apparently the majority of the staff has recently left, and the new staff is poorly trained and sullen. I don't think we saw a smile the entire meal. We went for their Sunday brunch, which used to be a delightful experience. No longer. The menu is completely different, now made up of pedestrian dishes, and these are poorly executed. The steak in the steak and eggs was cooked way beyond well done despite being ordered medium and totally without seasoning. The good pasta dishes that were there before have been replaced by choices like avocado toast. The seafood assortment first course used to be the best part of the experience but it has been replaced by a much smaller collection of much poorer quality items. In the past, waiters were always offering extras to make us feel welcome and appreciated. Now, we had to repeatedly ask for basics like silverware, plates, drinks, etc. We heard from the staff that a new manager had taken over, and it is clear that there is a real morale problem now.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional service and fine dining. Wow!
This has to be the best service I ever experienced. 3 extremely attentive staff members, so many complementary items, incredible little touches like replacing the tablecloth for dessert and grapa to finish the night. The service was almost better the food and that is saying a lot!! Very romantic as well but could be fun with a group!

Exceptional service, food and ambiance. Overall a wonderful upscale restaurant for date night with my hubby. So far the best beef carpaccio I've ever had so far. My filet steak was delightful. I would opt to have the tomato sauce on the side as it stole the flavor away from the meat. My husbands Dover sole was the best we've had so far. I was not impressed with the breads although beautifully presented, they weren't freshly made same day and didn't have much flavor. The sampling of complimentary treats are superb... the parmesan cheese, bruschetta, fried zucchini super enjoyable with wine to start. The wines by the bottle are a bit pricy all starting at over $120 per bottle. The selection is amazing though. The worst part of the meal was the ricotta cheese cake. A bit surprising, It tasted like plastic. Who needed the extra calories any way! lol Overall one of my favorite high end dining experiences in Miami.
Be the first to ReplyMade us feel like family
Excellent service. Arthur made us feel like family. As soon as we sat they offered us complimentary antipasto. They noticed we had kids and ordered their food immediately. We never had to wait for any service, the staff was highly attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic Italian Red Sauce in Sunny Isles
Probably the best start to a meal I have had in while with the different small bites and crostini they bring. We did the Meditarranean menu that works well as multiple options for appetizer and entrees. I reccomend the piccata di vitello al limone.

We had two fabulous meals at Il Mulino in one week. The meals were very well prepared and tasted amazing. The ravioli was ridiculously good - it's become one of my wife's all time favorites.
Perhaps the best thing about Il Mulino was the staff. They were ultra attentive and very helpful. Diego and Oliver in particular were great - very proactive and responsive.
Make no mistake that the restaurant is expensive - but you get what you pay for at Il Mulino. We thought it was definitely worth the splurge.
One of the best restaurants we have enjoyed!
We decided to celebrate our 41st anniversary here for a special meal. We are so glad we did! from the first greeting to the complimentary appetizers, & delicious breads, from the main course to the drinks and wines we could not have had our high expectations met any better!
To top off our celebration we were surprised by the presentation of an anniversary cake which brought tears to my eyes! Such a beautiful ending to a delightfully memorable evening!! Heartfelt thanks to Ciro, Fatima & Alberto for One of the best anniversary meals we have ever had!
Second to none......
Exemplary service and a culinary delight that one can expect consistently from Il Mulino. Spot on attentiveness and menu recommendations made the evening unequalled. The shared starter course of linguine with shrimp, lime and pistachio was a course to remember. The halibut with shrimp and veal parmigiana equally divine. Il Mulino has a service and food standard that all others should seek to achieve. "Grazie Mille" to Carlos and Ciro!! Two of the best!
Be the first to ReplyTruly exceptional food and service
Some of the best food we have ever had. We went on our first night in Sunny Isles - and it was so good we cancelled our reservations for two nights later and came back here instead.
I had the lobster ravioli special the first night, and it was so wonderful my husband ordered it the second time we came. We also had the chicken parmigiana (excellent but massive quantity) and the meatball appetizer. Everything we ate was truly exceptional.
We found ALL of the employees truly enjoyable. Excellent service without hovering. Overall, we highly recommend and definitely plan to return.
Outstanding!
Last night we had a family dinner at Il Mulino and although there was a slight mishap with the table upon arrival, it was rectified immediately and from that moment on, the service was fantastic and the dishes were simply outstanding.
We ordered from the "Miami Spice" menu and whereas some restaurants serve smaller portions, that was not the case with Il Mulino. The starters, mains and desserts were normal sizes and even large and there were plenty of options to choose from.
Three of us had Filet Mignons that were perfectly cooked and seasoned, while the other two chose the Scampi Francese. Between the wonderful appetizers (grilled octopus, Burrata Caprese and Carpaccio), our main course selections, a plate of the Ravioli Porcini for the table and the incredible desserts (flourless chocolate cake, ricotta cheesecake and panna cotta), everyone was full and completely satisfied.
I would be remiss if didn't acknowledge our server, Jorge, who went above and well beyond to make certain we enjoyed our meal. Jorge was the kind of professional we truly needed last night and along with the food itself, he is certainly a strong motivating factor to return to the restaurant.
From my entire family, we say "thank you, Jorge" for ensuring that our dinner last night was perfect.
Great Breakfast at Il Mulino!
Breakfast was amazing! Amy and Genesis were both warm, friendly, professional and efficient. The food was amazing. The hollandaise sauce on the classic eggs Benedict was perfection. Beautiful view! Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
The setting is magnificent, but we were there on a very windy night, when I asked to be moved to a table that was more protected the waiter refused, he said it was soon to be occupied, which it never was..
The food was tasteless and very ordinary, I would not recommend this restaurant, If you are going for food, only the beautiful ambiance on an evening when it is not windy.
I had eaten many years ago at the original IL MULLINO in New York many times, it is no longer under the supervision of the original owner
Excellent restaurant
We enjoyed our meals at Il Mulino. Excellent menu, top notch service. We had dinner there the first night and enjoyed it so much that we returned for our last night.
