Excellent Dining Experience
It was a pleasant experience as we were celebrating birthday dinner at the premises. To our surprise a private room was arranged and the staff were very attentive. Good food, good ambience overall very satisfied and happy that we make a right choice to dine at IndoCafe! Only to take note for those travelling with elderly or required baby pram that there are steps leading towards the restaurant.

We brought our friends who were visiting from London to try out local Peranakan food and we were impressed by the different flavours. We’ll be back!
Be the first to ReplyTerrible service
Unfortunately there were a number of serious problems with our experience. 1) When we made the reservation on chope, and when we arrived at the restaurant, we were not advised that last orders were at 9pm or that the restaurant closed at 9:30pm. 2) We sat down to order at 8:30pm, and ordered a lot of food. In fact it was too much for two people, and we think the waiter should have advised us that it was too much. Particularly given that we would only have one hour to eat. But he didn't give any guidance. 3) The food was then all served simultaneously. The starter, soup, and main courses consisting of two curries, rice and vegetables, were all placed on the table at once. This was overwhelming, and made it impossible to enjoy the individual courses. 4) Halfway through the meal, and before we were finished, we were then asked to pay the bill. We were told the restaurant was closing. We asked the waiter how long we would have to finish, and he said we could take our time. So we paid SGD 121. 5) We had a lot of food left to eat, and tried to take our time, but the staff were busy cleaning the restaurant, and asked us no less than three times if they could start clearing our dishes, or if we wanted to pack food away. We felt so uncomfortable we just decided to leave, which is presumably what the staff wanted. This was not a good dining experience, nor a pleasant way to spend an evening. It's also unacceptable that we had to pay SGD 121 for food that we were unable to finish. It's a shame, because the food, which we didn't have time to finish, is actually very good, but it was very much spoilt by our experience in the restaurant. Will not be eating here again and would not recommend it. I sent the feedback to the restaurant directly and did not even receive a response.
Be the first to ReplyToo noisy to have a decent meal
I booked this restaurant with a hope to have a nice peranakan meal with two visiting friends. Much to our disappointment, the restaurant was so noisy that we thought we were sitting in an outdoor children playground. There were screaming kids and mossy diners (probably due to the noisy environment). Everybody seemed to raise their voice to be heard. At our table, we could not have a decent conversation, let alone a pleasant meal. Although the food was not bad and service satisfactory, we concluded that Indocafe is not a restaurant for people who want to have an enjoyable meal. Besides, they asked people to get ready to leave, because it closes at 9.30pm. Our booking was 8pm. We had to rush through our desserts.
Be the first to ReplyGood food but service could be better
Food was of a very decent quality. Service was a little jarring initially, as we arrived during a very heavy downpour and the parking lots were not clearly marked. They only have space onsite for 3 cars. The person who arrived before us parked in such a way that we were not able to access the rest of the lots. When we tried to clarify with the staff to see if they could help the situation, the head waiter told us that it was not their job to manage the parking situation. Not a great start to the evening. Overall, the ambience in the restaurant was very nice. Pricing was decent, spending about $40 per person with one drink and one dessert amongst a party of 4.

I had passed by this restaurant multiplies time & finally visited this place when my family visited. The food was very delicious, even the fried rice was great! Highly recommend this restaurant! Service crews are very attentive which make the visit even more memorable!

The food is great and the location, I found the service somewhat numb, not unkind but just like not awaken yet, need a bit more sleep. I would return
Be the first to Replywill never recommend
brought my mother n sister for lunch recently. altho decor was good n staff polite the food was terrible. let me start by what we ordered: 1 buah keluak n chicken - chicken was undercook n buah keluak not authentic. 2 sayur lodeh - no gravy very thick sauce. seems like yesterday’s balance taken out from the fridge 3 kueh pie tee - taste ok but fillings too little for 8 cups 4 udang nanas - pineapple sourish n ladies fingers old n tough 5 bakwan soup - bakwan meat tasteless wish i had read reviews before going. not worth the price. wl not recommend nor return
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service and understanding staff
Our first time visit to the Indocafe White House was such a wonderful experience. We were guided by very friendly staff at the entrance and seen we have a child with special needs, an alternative seating at the private room was offered complimentary. It was a very kind gesture of the restaurant as we needed the privacy, not to disturb other diners around us is always one of our biggest concerns when dining out. The dishes were delicious and well presented. Staff took extra efforts checking with us regularly to top-up drinks and whether we needed anything else made us felt homely. Thank you for the wonderful evening at the Indocafe!
Be the first to ReplyGood food, good service and good ambience
The food was so great. The nicest beef rendang I have tried so far. The service is excellent. The staffs were really attentive. Quiet and peaceful ambience, away from usual shopping mall crowd. Definitely will go back again!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing Lunch
Bakwan Kepiting soup, Ayam Buah Keluak came lukewarm.. Ladies fingers was great Beef Rendang so so slight saltiness. When asked chendol ice cream, the host said its only ice cream as chendol, but not the real deal... However when it arrived it was real chendol & coconut ice cream... Is he knowledgeable & well trained in his food knowledge?? Very very disappointing not worth Michelin standard... Paying above $200 Rgds Brennan my mobile 81335189
Be the first to ReplyThe foods are not spicy at all. The only nice thing is the atmosphere. Not Recommended.
Not Recommend. Foods is not spicy, it serves a bit fast, dun look like it's cook after ordered but prepared in advance on most of the dishes. Price is at the very high side. I would recommend the other restaurant at Kovan shopping mall.
Be the first to ReplyGreat dinner for Mother’s Day
The food was great and loved the super tender beef cheeks rendang the most. And the desserts are great too.

Nice environment and Good service Unfortunately food is really terrible worst nonya dishes i had in my life.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, attentive service!
I love the decorations of the place, the ambience and the excellent nonya food! The staff are attentive to your needs.
Be the first to ReplySumptuous Peranakan dinner ❤️
IInfocafe offers a warm and intimate dining ambience! We ordered the Hee Pepe Tng prawn ball soup, Wagyu Beef Rendang, the Stewed Tiger Prawns and the Chap Chye. My toddler son enjoyed the soup with his rice and the subtle soup taste! The Wagyu beef rendang tastes soft and great!❤️ Chap Chye was a bit disappointing with very little cabbage and many fermented bean curb. As for the drinks like my lychee cooler…it tastes just so…so. My adorable son enjoys looking out at the traffic along Scott’s Road while he fines. ❤️❤️❤️
Be the first to ReplyFood great, service so-so
Service could be a lot warmer and engaged and less robotics. Attitude about wearing mask could have been a lot more friendly and respectful
Be the first to ReplyCozy restaurant with good Peranakan menu
I like this restaurant because of its cosy ambience and pretty good Peranakan food. An ideal place for a good meal and a good chat.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Peranakan food In an elegant setting
Dining in an old colonial bungalow within a small but elegantly decorated restaurant. The Peranakan food is one of the better ones I have tried, love the chicken buah keluak and kueh pie tee. Service staff are very friendly too. Definitely worth a repeat visit. While there’s very limited free parking on the bungalow compound, the hotel is just next door and you can easily park at the hotel.

Nice ambience and good food such as the kueh pie tee which was crunchy, tasty and the chilli up is just nice. The Bobochacha was also delicious. Service can be improved.
Be the first to ReplyMust try!!!!!Highly recommended
Must try restaurant if you love Peranakan food. The interior welcomes you to a feel of colonial era dining. The food was absolutely delicious and the coffee was equally nice
Be the first to ReplyNostalgic feeling
We loved the interior decoration of the cafe and the entire customer journey.
The food and service led by Mr. Thomas and Eric was simply the finest.
We had the Vegetarian Fried Rice, Kueh Pie Tie, Sayur Lodeh, Chap Chye, Udang Masak Nanas and the Lemongrass drink. The food and service was very consistently phased. The food was so good and tasted as good as the traditional Nonya food in Malacca.
Special thanks to the Chef and his team!
I really love this place!
I really love this place! Their food is delicious, not expensive, the staff is very attentive. I’m glad I accidentally discovered this hidden gem. I wish they had a terrace, because the building and its surrounding is beautiful. I don’t get why it is not full all the time. I will certainly be back with friends and family!!
Be the first to ReplyCosy place and good food
Friendly and excellent service. Nice ambience for gathering over authentic peranakan cuisine. Will definitely visit again.
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic and well-priced
An under-rated and hidden gem. Despite an old-school posh setting, Indocafe serves reasonably priced quality “home-styled” peranakan cuisine and attentive service.
