They take great care of you and the sushi and fish quality is amazing. I love eating nigiri and the fish to rise ratio is perfect. The place is always busy and appreciate how they always allow walkins.

We made a reservation and were seated by the window just in time for sunset. The view was so pretty. we tried the miso butterfish, hand rolls (salmon skin and tuna avocado), spicy tuna roll, spider roll, and Andy's king dragon roll. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was quick and ambience is spacious and modern

They were able to seat our family of four at the bar. Two were underage but as long as we didn't drink they were ok with my teenagers being there.Since happy hour was still going on, we got 3 deluxe California rolls and the spicy hamachi hand roll. We also ordered 3 spider rolls off of the main menu. The California rolls were good. I'm guessing the avocados were locally sourced. The spider roll was ok. And the hamachi roll was pretty good. Given the happy hour price, we will probably order 2 of the deluxe California rolls instead of the regularly priced Spider Roll. Overall, the staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Appreciate that when I called they helped us figure out a way to get in to eat last minute without a reservation. Overall, we'd come back again.

My family and I were really looking forward to this restaurant - however, in short I'd say food is pretty sub-par. Here's a breakdown of what we ordered:Hamachi Jalepeno = 3/5: pretty good, would get againHouse Made Cheesecake - 3/5: pretty good, nothing special Isana Fried rice - 3/5: basic fried rice(Cocktail) Menehune Mule - 3/5: guava was a nice touch but wish guava flavor was a bit strongerMaui Fish n Chips - 2.5/5: local catch of the day was Amber Jack/Kampachi. I usually am a fan of white fish but wasn't in love with the flavor (might just be a preference thing). Dish was fried fine, fries and dipping sauces good. Kalbi's Ribs - 2/5: received really fatty pieces. uneven cooking Tempura Fried Ice Cream - 2/5: I thought this would be like regular fried ice cream, but they add a layer of pound cake between the ice cream and batter -- I feel this would be much better without the pound cake as it made the dessert very heavy and messed up the flavorIsana Pork Ramen - 1/5: broth didn't have any flavor, noodles soggy, pork a bit overcooked

Come here for happy hour from 3-5pm & 9-10pm!They have a great select of sushi to choose from. We lined up at the door right at 3pm and got seated right away for walk in. You can also make a reservation. We got seated near the window at a very small table. Service was great! Checked in and got a free miso soup! We started off with oyster shooters and baked mussels. The oyster shooter was a little too much on the sake, but that is just my opinion. Baked mussels were really good I love how it came with 4 mussels. Usually you get just 2 at other restaurants. We got the eel and cucumber hand roll, spicy salmon hand roll, spicy tuna roll, spicy hamachi roll, California deluxe roll and a salmon nigiri. We asked for uni, but they were out. Everything was delicious and we topped it off with a Kona mud pie.

It was really good with really fresh fish because we were told the restaurant is owned by a fisherman! Also the POG juice was soooo good, one of the best I've had on my trip. The calamari was just okay. I don't think I would order it again because it wasn't very flavorful. I think they ran out of coffee ice cream so they told us the mud pie was with cookies and cream, it was still good.

Sushi is always amazing! However, will only be going back when we have reservations as sitting at the bar means being served by the two very rude women bartenders. Never once cracked a slight smile or personality. We even witnessed the people next to us get a sassy remark from one of the bartenders because she was the one that made a mistake with their order. Service at a regular table is 100x better.

We did not have reservations and were thankful to be seated at the sushi bar. We ordered the house sake, which was delicious and paired nicely with our dinner. We ordered the sashimi trio of king tuna, salmon, and hamachi. The sashimi was so fresh and creamy. The poke was so flavorful, and again, the fish was so fresh and delicious. The veggie dragon roll we ordered nicely complemented the poke we ordered. Definitely worth stopping in if you are a sushi fan.

I've been to Isana a dozen times and it's one of my favorite places on Maui. I do agree that the service can be hit or miss, which I think leads to some of the less than favorable reviews on here.However, the food is very good and the atmosphere is great. It's a big, spacious dining room which can be hard to find in Kihei, with ocean views. You can walk across the street after happy hour and watch the sunset. You can't beat it.These are my favorite menu items:* Sushi Rolls: I love the Caterpillar, Broke Da Mouth, Rainbow, White Dragon, and the "Ultimate Roll!" Get the Ultimate Roll (and a few others) to share -- it's gigantic and also topped with ahi poke! Nigiri and hand rolls are also great.* Appetizers: The Salmon Belly is my favorite and not-to-be-missed. Tempura is also excellent.* Entrees: The entrees here are very generous portions. Kalbi Ribs are a favorite among my family. The Slow-Roasted Pork Chow Fun and Isana Fried Rice are both delicious!Desserts are mostly from Lappert's Ice Cream (delicious), and the tempura fried ice cream is a treat.The only menu item I have ever been disappointed in has been the ramen. It's actually a really fresh, lighter ramen with lots of fresh, crisp veggies which I love. However, the ramen egg is *never* a jammy ramen egg as it should be. It is 100% always a hard-boiled egg. And that's the best part of the ramen, right?!The drinks are also delicious, although I am so sad they no longer carry the sparkling sake I loved. Happy Hour is worth a visit but can be packed. Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
