I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant in my entire life. Lamar was our server we arrived and waited at least 20 min. When requesting to order he said I will get to you when you can. We had a large bill and were collectively appalled at the rudeness continuously from our server. When leaving I asked his name and the manager proceeded to chase us out the door clapping her hands at us yelling at us telling us if we wanted to speak to her about an employee she's the manager and aggressively being so very rude. It was obvious she wasn't going to listen and is friends with this man. I truly have absolutely never met or experienced this type of experience. Would love to speak to the owner, your manager is out of control... and we didn't say a word to her besides ask her employee his name

Great hotel, great location
My stay was following a conference for one night. I wish I had more time! The rooms were great- super spacious with lots of light, an oversized bathroom, Nespresso with more than enough pods, and plenty of water cartons (eco friendly).
Great restaurant with an upbeat vibe, a cute boutique on the property, and the location is perfect! Walking distance to all the best restaurants and bars. I couldnโt have been more pleased and will return!

Close to vegan restaurants and the amenities are excellent!
I have stayed at this hotel twice and both times were great! This hotel is very modern and itโs on a bit of a side street so itโs mostly quiet. The first time I stayed it was on a weekend and the second time it was during the week. The weekend was a little more wild because they were having a good pop up in the valet driveway ones of the nights, but during the week it was so quiet and I hardly saw any other guests. They do change a resort fee, but it gives you $15/day for breakfast and $10/day for ride share credits. I did get the avocado toast for $20 one of the days and it was niceโฆ but maybe not worth $20. The rooms have HUGE bathtubs with a separate shower, my 5 year old was literally swimming in it! The valet has EV charging, so that was an added bonus. Itโs also right next door to gracias madre, one of my favorite vegan restaurants. Itโs a great hotel!

This space was rented out for an event.
The dinner was downstairs and the afterparty was upstairs on the rooftop. The food was delicious but I think the items were different than the regular menu. I will say that the space is gorgeous and I would definitely return for a regular dinner night there. View of the hills from the rooftop, nice ambiance, good vibes.

A beautiful restaurant with chic and internationally
A beautiful restaurant with chic and internationally inspired decor, delicious drinks, and amazing food. I hosted a corporate event for 80 people here and we can't wait to do it again. The whole event planning, culinary, and bar team (especially Danica) was great to work with and executed our vision perfectly. Highly recommend the burratta and sourdough, and chocolate chip cookies with flakey sea salt!

It took us, a party of two, 40 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. What's the point of having reservations then? Also, parking is horrendous. Maybe if we had been seated on time we wouldn't have gotten a ticket. The food was so salty, and the service was really slow. We came to this place after seeing it on the LA bucket list Instagram, but honestly it's overhyped.

We went for a business dinner meeting including video
We went for a business dinner meeting including video conference to the East coast. I would say that the location, the setup and the purpose did not match. Yes the food - which was presented in family style fashion - was actually very good. But the ability to talk well enough AND communicate to the participants was insufficient, the cables in the little patio were too short, and they could not provide us with the support that would be necessary if a restaurant says "yes, we can". And last but not least, finding parking in the neighborhood for all the participants was short of a nightmare - despite the "availability" of valet parking...

Was excited to try this place tonight.
Delicious food and beautiful restaurant. We felt very rushed. They were taking our plates away before we were even done eating. This happened with appetizers and even dessert. The worst part was when the hostess came over to out table to tell us that it had been 2 hours already, and we had to get up and leave. I have never been told this before ,and we dine at all the most expensive and hip restaurants in the city. I won't eat here again It's a shame , because the food was so delicious. It was insulting and rude .

Fun place great music on Fridays.
Menu has lots of different items from Italian to Mexican. The Hotel has two bars on the first floor.

Issima! It's a Magical! We initially went here for wine and apps but ended up ordering the entire menu because the dishes going out looked so good and the smell of the food was intoxicating. We stared with burrata, shrimp cocktail and the caviar. This was probably enough but we wanted more. We keep with our ocean theme and put in the branzino the salmon with the shaved fennel salad, seabass, the whole roasted carrots (which were probably the best carrots I ever had) and the honey nut squash with the Calabrian chili butter. One of the absolute best dinners I have had here in Los Angeles. We finished with a couple of orders of the Chocolate olive oil Budino with Whipped crรจme fraiche and sea salt cocoa nibs. WOW. Were are we? I felt like were transported overseas on an epic European vacation. The sommelier was such a pleasure as well, he had a wealth of knowledge about great pairing, history and wine regions. The staff was so friendly and made us fell extra welcome. Also the music was beyond amazing. The Dj was super cute and dressed to the nines. I could go on and on about this place but you should definitely go have a magical experience of your own here!!! Thank you Issima for a truly incredible night!

Visiting LA for my cousin and i's birthday and we found
Visiting LA for my cousin and i's birthday and we found this place and decided this will be our birthday dinner spot. What a mistake. Our main course was delivered to the wrong table (was not the servers fault he was fine) but that ended up costing us another hour and half at this restaurant. In total we spent 3 hours here and 2 hours of it was waiting for the food. This place pretty much set the tone for the rest of our night and there was no recovery. I would never come here again. The food and service was below average and quite sad. Do better.

This spot is absolutely legendary.
The ambiance, the food, the vibe. I have dined at many LA hotspots but this one is exceptional. We started out with the scampi, the greek salad and spanish octopus. All phenomenal beyond belief. We then moved on to the wagyu, heirloom potatoes and the radiatore. Exceptional. Our service was prompt and our server was friendly. We can't wait to come back. If you have a chance to try this restaurant I highly recommend you experience this gem.
Ambiance was loud and entertaining. Service was surprisingly impeccable. Like I'm legit shocked at how great the service was. That's what made my husband and my experience. First- it started off with a very kind gentlemen handsome tall respectful gentleman. Sorry I couldn't get his name but he was working Saturday February 12 wearing a maroon velvet jacket. God bless his patience. You have arrogant people trying to demand him on what to do and he still stays friendly and respectful and courteous to his guest. My husband arrived after a celebrity and then had to wait for some rude girls who for some sort of reason thought it would be acceptable to interrupt and demand him on what to do while he was helping my husband and I check in. Again he was still so kind and respectful. I can only imagine how many times a night that happens and how long his night had already been. Second- Alyssa (sorry if I'm spelling her name wrong) what a pleasure she was. My husband and I were patiently waiting. Look we are your normal people not coming to LA to spend thousands of dollars and Alyssa attended to us immediately despite having a celebrity there and larger parties. She even apologized for the delay. She took our orders and gave us recommendations. She was great! Super friendly. Didn't rush us and explained the menu and even entertained my dessert questions despite having just sat down. Third- Ashley. Oh Ashley. I felt for Ashley. She was dealing with a large party and was running around nonstop attending to all guests she encountered. I have to tell you seeing a celebrity was great but Ashley made our night. Ashley is the rule or person you want on your team. She's a bundle joy. She helped my husband and I toward the end of the meal and honestly just engaged and entertained us for a few minutes. She was hard working and very passionate about her job and the food at this restaurant. You could definitely tell that despite having a long busy night she loved her job. She had my husband and I busting up with laughter and made us want to come back again. She was great!Issima is great. The restaurant is great. But if you can request to be seated at Ashley's table DO IT. Wait for it. Whatever you need to do. Wait for her to be your hostess.

West Hollywood Hideaway
The Kimpton La Peer sits hidden away, perfectly situated in between Melrose & Santa Monica, 5 minutes from the bars of Sunset & the glitz of Beverly Hills.
The hotel facade is unassuming, but once in the courtyard the decor elements begin to reveal themselves and are distinctly Kimpton. Inside, the lobby and communal spaces are nice places to be, very relaxing & comfortable vibe. Just off the main lounge is Issima restaurant, the pool & outdoor bar which all have a similar, upscale yet tranquil atmosphere.
We stayed on IHG reward nights, so budget wise i can't comment as our entire stay was gratis. However, when i have used redeemed points in the past at other hotels I have often been given the lowest grade room and a shoestring service. This is not the case at La Peer, we were upgraded upon arrival and the staff were attentive & helpful throughout.
Our Signature King room was beautifully decorated with natural wood and a neutral palette, a welcome escape after a day exploring LA. Two things that stood out was the ridiculously comfortable bed, and the spacious, spa-like bathroom. Not so great was the lack of a proper dressing table, and there wasn't much storage space for a weeks worth of clothes. The room was easily large enough to incorporate both of these additions.
We used the bar a few times (breakfast is served there too) and the drinks were fantastic, but more-so the staff, again were incredible and looked after us throughout our stay. In particular Alan and his espresso martinis, legend!
Thanks for having us!
We stayed here for my 30th birthday. The hotel is so loud and music was blaring until 2am. Paper thin walls and the smell of marijuana was very prevalent in the halls. The room itself is nice and comfortable bed, but we paid about $700 for 2 nights. So disappointed. Horrible service as well. We asked for towels two different times, and were not brought them. If you want the five star experience, this is NOT it.

Average, overpriced and better WeHo options
Iโve been trying for years to get a rate that I felt would be worth the location and prestige of the Kimpton brand, and was ably to book a room in the high $200/nt with a Black Friday deal Kimpton was running. It was..ok at best.
The good: location location location. Two short blocks to the Abbey, half block to Melrose and a short walkable drive to Beverly Center. The hotel shows nicely in the lobby but all else was average.
Fast elevators.
Valet staff and service outstanding albeit understaffed at times with only one working. Has a free EV port the valet can plug your car into if you are electric or hybrid. Loved that.
Not good:
Front desk staff rarely there when you are looking for them. Not sure where they go but the desk is often empty. Four out if six visits, including check in, I had to ask someone in another department to find them.
Room generally was nice, but if you are an IHG elite (Iโm platinum) expect nothing. I got a room that overlooked a courtyard about 8X20 in size staring at other rooms.
Text requests that are offered at checkin were not monitored at least twice for me.
Restaurant service very slow, even when not busy.
Could not even as a guest get a table at the fine dining restaurant for dinner, even trying to book several days in advance.
I wonโt stay here again, particularly if the price is more than what I paid. In fact, if it was the same price the .Montrose and Chamberlain are much better options of the Weho larger boutiques.
Iโm starting to think the same of most Kimptons since IHG acquired them. They show well but once you get to know them, a Holiday Inn Express would provide about the same service at a better price point.

Perfect Hollywood Stay
The location is perfect for seeing a Hollywood show or getting breakfast at the Beachwood Cafe. Staff was very friendly and gave us a free upgrade to e Hollywood sign room. Room was clean and very quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were modern and spotless. Hamilton was playing a block away and we caught a Roosevelt and Bilderbuch concert at the Fonda Theatre. All are easily walkable. We ate at the associated restaurant Jane Q. The food and service was perfect. Overall the best stay we have had as a family in the Hollywood area.
