A memorable experience
Greeted by Sophia and entertained by herself and Chef Patron Jacques, I had the most enjoyable luncheon. My meal started with a glass of champagne, the delightful canapes, amuse bouche and starter. The next course was scallops with sweet potato ravioli, without doubt the best plate of food I have ever eaten. A tasty gigot of lamb with strawberries was surprising but divine. The obligatory french cheese before a lemon mousse pre dessert and the finale of meringue ended proceedings. Matched wines were of excellent quality and well chosen (even free poured when the bottle ended!). The candle warmed Armagnac dispenser was a nice touch and this was refilled many times. A day to remember and service that went above and beyond what I ever expected. Bravo!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Intimate Michelin Experience in Paris
We are in Paris celebrating our 30th year anniversary. As part of our trip selected several Michelin one star locations. Jacques Fassaut was one of them. It was an amazing experience. What we liked the most is that we felt like we were in an extravagant home where the chef and host took personal care of your dinner needs. The food was excellent. We had the 3 course menu with the extras. The potato foi gras and truffle starter was to die for. My wife had the fish and I had the pigeon special. Both were outstanding. We both finished with the special soufflé with almond and figs. I had the wine pairings and the match was in heaven. The final wine pairing was a Chateau Barrejat and it was like drinking the best light honey. Better than a Sauternes. Service was outstanding. Service and customer engagement was outstanding. The Chef is so engaging. He is on the floor all the time. Equally as engaging was his assistant. She is from Italy. What a combination and a great personality. The place only has about 10-12 tables. That is one of the secrets in that it is intimate and guarantees right attention. For a Monday night most tables were occupied. Highly recommend Jacques Fassaut
Be the first to ReplyFood was divine and well worth it
Sophia and Jacques warmly welcomed us from the moment we walked through their door down to our post-dessert. Aside from the menus, they also have a QR code which you can scan to view the French or English menu and pay the bill (split or full). Sophia and Jacques also helped us select the bottle of wine we ordered. We had the Degustation 4 Plats - started with Amuse-bouche, then Appetizer (mushrooms), Entree (trout), Main (veal), Pre-dessert (granita), Dessert (chocolate amd strawberry), Post-dessert. The food was well-balamced, delicious and amazing! TRULY DIVINE! We did not feel rushed between each course and Sophia explained each of them well. Excellent food and impeccable service! It was the best fine dining we've had in Paris during our stay and we'll definitely be in our go-to list when in Paris.

Delightful dinner. Great traditional food, nice presentation, fantastic experience. We had a wonderful time, every dish is nicely done.
Be the first to ReplyA small, charming, superb restaurant
I enjoyed enormously my visit here. The few tables are waited by the owner, Faussat himself. I ordered the house’s specialties, which included a carrot confit and a delicious partridge finished by the chef at the table. Exquisite food, friendly service. And best of all, moderately priced for a 1-star Michelin establishment. Highly recommended.

A special celebration for my husband’s birthday and we were delighted by the whole experience. The food was full of subtle flavours. The presentation was beautiful and the service attentive. Probably the best meal we have ever eaten!
Be the first to ReplyFirst lunch in Paris
We arrived early in Paris by train. We were kind of starving and wanted a quick snack across the hotel. We went and was immediately turned away because we didn’t have the green vaccination card. First, we are not from EU so we can’t get a green card for vaccination. My sister actually tried. Want a QR code for vaccination, won’t even register when scanned because we weren’t vaccinated in EU. We left feeling hungry.
Back of my mind, OMG if a crappy restaurant turned us away, what will Jacque do. I was thinking of plan B,C and D. When I say Plan D, I meant McDonald’s.
Arrived at the restaurant and was warmly greeted and invited in. Checked my vaccination card and was accepted. We were so relieved. Everything from start to finish was amazing. From fois gras to the fish to the dessert. IMHO cheese at the end was a bit too heavy but still very very good
Great magician
We were fascinated by the chef that seemed like a magician orchestrating between the kitchen and the guests! And the magic worked! The food was excellent and we have specifically enjoyed the dish of pressed potatoes with foie grad and truff mushrooms we cleaned our plates! Then the chef said he will surprise us and another magic happened when he cooked the pigeon flambé on the table and the taste was a gain magic!!! Highly recommend sure to enjoy!
