Jam Cafe Kitsilano Vancouver Reviews from The Last Year

(Written by my 13 year old) The service was so good, and the food here actually eats (no crumbs).. there was a line when we got here, but there was minimal waiting. All the fruit is ripe, and the food is the perfect portion for a morning where you need a sweet, or savory breakfast. Would recommend.. it slayed the day!!

I grew up in the greater Vancouver area but never actually tried the coveted jam cafe until now (some 10 years later). And it still lives up to the hype; probably the best eggs Benedict I've ever had.
I just had a tremendous brunch with friends.
Everyone loved the food and service. My only regret is that I live so far away that I may never get the chance to eat here again!
Absolutely delicious and great service.
Everyone loved their meal. Will definitely be back before our trip ends!

The fried chicken Benedict was so yummy! Def the best brunch I have had in a while, there is a wait time but the line moves fast. The lychee mimosa was light and unique! The next time I'm in Vancouver I'll come here!
Jam Cafe for Breakfast -- a MUST
If you are in Vancouver, you MUST go to Jam. The restaurant is small and they don't take reservations, however, they efficiently manage the line/queue on the sidewalk. See pic attached of alternative to waiting in line. There's a restaurant next door to Jam -- have someone in your party have a seat outdoors, order a drink and wait for your table to be ready at Jam. The food at Jam was delicious and the service was awesome!!

The food was phenomenal! We had to stand outside and wait, but it was less than 20 minutes before we were sat! We had a table of 6 and the waitress was patient and very helpful! The restaurant was packed and full of life! I would recommend anyone to come here for breakfast or brunch!!
Went 15 minutes before they opened on a weekend morning and
Went 15 minutes before they opened on a weekend morning and ofc their was already a long lineup! We were very lucky to get seats as we were one of the last group going in. I know their chicken and waffle and blueberry pancake's super yummy, but I was also eyeing the french toasts. Glad I got the banoffee French toast- as it was super filling and was really tasty. Expect to spend $25+ per person
Wish I could give it a 2.
5 because the food really is that good and worth the wait. The line is always long at least 40 mins if you have a big group or more than 2 guest. I got the later tater hash with chicken one time and pork another. The pork in my opinion is def more flavorful than the chicken but both good and filling. If you are into Paloma's they make a great Paloma. I also tried the lavender lemonade mimosa but it was just okay personally. Now let me get to why they went from 5 star to a 2 service. The second time I came to visit before heading back, I was alone. At first I discretely told the server just so you know there is a mouse that's going between tables and under feet to not ruin business. She says okay we will take care of it and I'll get my manager while thanking me. Then the manager comes over and says basically with the doors open constantly, thats just how it is. I tried to ignore it but how can you dine when this is your view and everyone is okay with it? They tried to assure me they're constantly up to date with extermination but I had to pack up and go since no one cared. Quite disappointing in my opinion. Here's video for context.
There is a line out the door on a weekday for a reason.
The food is spectacular. The ambiance has a rustic feel. I had the French toast and chicken. It was some of the best chicken I've ever had. You have to go here if you're in Vancouver.
Be prepared for long lines on the weekends but believe me
Be prepared for long lines on the weekends but believe me when I say this is worth the wait, I do so knowing how valuable time is. The depth and breadth of this menu is crazy good. For someone who doesn't eat eggs I was pleased with the options. For me The Gravy Coops was the winner. Biscuits and gravy topped with fried pork belly and accompanied by hashbrowns. Usually comes with two eggs but they went heavy on the pork belly instead. Winner! Flavorful with chunks of sausage, the gravy was scrumptious. And that pork belly...crisp, rendered well and unctuous. A plate with pulled pork pancakes landed on the table and was decimated in minutes, who knew this combo would satisfy! We also ventured to try the chicken French toast, a visually spectacular dish whose flavor lived up to its visual. It's a lovely, comfortable place to eat and visit.
My visit to Jam Cafe was nothing short of spectacular!
My visit to Jam Cafe was nothing short of spectacular! Starting with a tall glass of delicious apple juice that set the tone for the meal, I was in for a treat. The fried chicken benny with buttermilk fried chicken was an absolute delight - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired perfectly with the rich hollandaise sauce. The overall combination of flavors was one of those moments where you pause after the first bite because you are surprised, in the best way. And let's not forget about the chicken French toast - a unique twist on a classic dish that left me craving more. The flavors were impeccable, and the presentation was top-notch. The service was friendly and attentive, making my dining experience truly memorable. Jam Cafe exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Five stars all the way!
The food was super delicious.
Staff was very friendly. Tables are close together but it didn't bother us.

Honey little breakfast place with crazy fun options! The service is quick which is nice- and there's definitely tons of glutinous options despite us going for the healthy boring ones. The alcohol situation is also lots of fun with spiked bevy's! They have a lychee mimosa and tons of spiked coffees! Only minus is you're standing in the rain before you're seated- and it can get quite uncomfortable!
Came early to beat the line and I wasn't early enough! Haha.
Don't let it scare you though because they gave us a 1 hr wait but we ended up getting seated within 20. I do prefer that they set farther expectations so you can get the surprise of getting to eat sooner. Jam Cafe is a homey looking space with the decor lining the restaurant and you can smell the delicious eats as you walk in the door. They're actually super quick to get your order and then to your table. I warn you that the portions are large though so you can definitely share your main entrees. I was tempted to get the Charlie Bowl based on all of the reviews but ended up getting the half fried chicken benny and the mushroom omelette. Jam is your standard breakfast fare but done right. Next time I will be sure to check the sweeter side of the menu as there were unique pancake flavors that I am curious to try.

Decent breakfast, but as people from out of town we were disappointed by the lack of jam represented in the menu. We were also sat incredibly close to other couples. French toast was very flavorful, pork belly was just okay

This was my first meal during my trip to Vancouver and the fried chicken benny was so yummy! Loved the cozy inside and amazing service. Waiting in the line in the cold outside was worth it
I tried the avocado benny, it was okay.
The 2 egg breakfast is good. Good environment and fun with groups.
Great food.
Busy. But good busy as good food. Seating was cramped. But manageable. Long line up but not too long of wait.
GREAT food and really excellent service.
Get there early but expect a wait--it will definitely be worth it!
The wait was long but it was sooooo worth it.
Everything was absolutely delicious and we can't wait to be back in Vancouver to have it again. Highly recommend the cinnamon bun pancake - it was a sweet surprise that we loved.
*no update just wanna say i wish i was back eating this
*no update just wanna say i wish i was back eating this yummy brekkie* (: i didnt realize i already wrote a review and therefore got way to hyped about it!
Be prepared to wait during peak breakfast/lunch hours.
Their service staff was nice and efficient, kept us updated on the table situation and approximate waiting time left. Most tables adjacent to each other so be prepared to listen to gossip and gibberish. Went with half off the pork belly Benny. Pork belly was thick and deep fried, perfect ratio of meat to fat with extra crispiness. Hash browns cooked well with a outer crispy crust and moist potato center Later tater bowl- big bowl of tater tots topped with corn, salsa, cheese, 2 eggs, green onions, buffalo sauce. Very filling and flavorful. Chicken French toast- thick cut brioche bread with buttermilk fried chicken. The hot honey sauce gave the entire dish a unique flavor profile of sweet & spicy. Unfortunately it covered the entire dish so if you added maple syrup to the French toast, it mixed with the hot honey sauce, combine all this with the pickled cabbage, jalapeno sour cream, maple bourbon BBQ glaze, cilantro and green onions and you have a circus full of flavors that may not sit well with your palette. Personally it was way too much flavor for someone who just wanted a nice fried chicken and French toast breakfast. So read the menu ingredients and order appropriately to avoid any flavor surprises, lesson learned
Great brunch for weekdays
I have been hearing about this place since I moved to Vancouver in 2017, but due to the long line ups, I postponed to try this place... However, on my last birthday, it was a Wednesday, and I was off work with my husband, I decided to have a brunch there! No regrets at all! There was no line up...yeyyyy our food choices were fantastic and the portions big to satisfy someone very hungry! I didn't save room for a waffle... definitely I will come back soon for it! Prices were average and the service good.

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success

I’m sorry to hear about this - I’m a brand new seller on the platform and didn’t realize this was a *thing* - any chance you can point me to the fine print/documentation where this policy is stated (also identifying other caveats like this would be appreciated)?
