Exceptional Food and Service
What an amazing experience , beautiful decor and amazing service, we were made to feel so special by attention given to us by Aneesh & Akash. The food is exceptional, amazing use of spices to create wonderful flavours. Pomfret was excellent, as was the prawn curry. Topped it of with an amazingly flavourful Lamb Biriyani. It was a treat.

On the 25th August 2023, we went for a superlative Onam Sadhya dinner at the Jamavar. It was one of the best Onam Sadhyas we have gone for in a long while. The Onam menus were complete with all the dishes normally served at Onam Sadhyas. Mr. Aneesh (Restaurant Manager) and his team and their service were excellent. There are still a few more days to taste the onam sadhya at Jamavar Restaurant at the The Leela, Mumbai.

The experience here was immaculate. After a long time, we dined at a restaurant in a 5 Star hotel and it stood true to its stars. The Hospitality, Food Quality, Ambience and the Staff was top notch. I would highly recommend this place for your family to have a memorable meal together.

The Title is apt for Jamavar. Post 2019 we visited again yesterday that is 19th Jan for Dinner. Taste is still the same. They knew exactly what we wanted and they served according to it. Mr Absisek Basu you lead The Team from front and it is quote visible from the Hospitality we experienced. Atul and his Team were great Host. Myself and my friends cherished memories and would love to visit again

Food and service were both excellent. Top quality restaurant in every way. We had tandoori tiger prawns and then shared the most wonderfully flavoured and rich main course. Perfect service throughout

Was here for a family dinner on occasion of my anniversary and have to say that the service is Top Notch. The staff is following all Covid related protocols diligently.
Ambience - it’s a perfect place for fine dining. Love the songs that they play from the 70’s-80’s era.
Food - they have plenty of options in both veg n non veg. Should try their Amritsari Chole Paneer with Kulchas. Samosa Chaat is another must try.
Service - Their team doing the service is very courteous. The restaurant manager Deepak adds up to the overall experience with his personal touch. He takes interest in understanding what kind of food u want to have and makes recommendations accordingly. Was a pleasure to interact with.
Overall highly recommended..
New Benchmark with New Normal
Jamavar opened on 18th Dec post March 2020 Lockdown. From 8 months we have never been to any restaurant in Mumbai for Lunch or Dinner as we were waiting for our restaurant which is close to Heart Jamavar. Not only due to Ambience Food but also Hyper Personalization Hospitality of Deepak Dubey. To add it up all Cutlery were Sanitized and kept as per prevailing situation . Taking care of customer not only in terms of food but ensuring Services as per prevailing situation with exceeding commitment compared to previous visit of Pre Corona period.
At home Mother or wife knows our taste, our likes and dislikes and they prepare Menu accordingly, We do not have to order at Jamavar Mumbai as over the years Deepak knows what we like and what is our Taste.
At the entry he gave us Different Welcome experience this time , a Hyper Personalization. His services are a Magnet for any customer as all customer besides us on other table knew his name, What else an Organization will ask when they have Service Channel in terms of Deepak Dubey who is so committed to exceed His own Benchmarks 😀
Exorbitantly high priced for an average food
Visited twice this year. Slow service and late serving. Taste of the food does not justify the Menu Prices.

We celebrated my wife's 50th Birthday at Jamavar at The Leela , Mumbai. It's a luxury Indian cuisine restaurant. This ws our first time at this restaurant.
The setting of the restaurant is nice , with soothing decor and the service is excellent. Mr. Deepak Dubey and his team does a fabulous job of looking after you and recommending the dishes.
The Soups & Rasam are very good to start with. For starters Bhindi Chaat & Paneer Tikka Sunehari were very good. For Mains we had Subzi Kadhai, Paneer Kofta , Gucchi Mutter Masala & Daal Jamaver alongwith Roomali Roti, Garlic Naan , Bikaneri Paratha & Jodhpuri Paratha. Overall good choice of dishes. For desserts we were served Gulab Jaamun, Rasmalai, Jalebi with Rabri & Kulfi . All excellent in presentation and taste.
We had ordered a cake to celebrate the occasion , which was also good.
Overall the service and food at Jamavar is excellent . Keep up the good work.
Excellent foo and Service !!
It is located at lobby level in Hotel Leela. We had heard a lot about the Indian food of Jamavar, so after having drinks at their 6* bar, we decided to have dinner over here. We were a group of 8 friends. Regarding food choice we left it to their restaurant manager Deepak Dubey. For vegetarians he served us black dal, kashmir mushroom, and some paneer dish with mixed rotis and curd. The food was absolutely yummy. Even those who had non-veg liked a lot. In desert he served chocolate ice cream and rabri.
The decor was classy and service was very professional and polite. In spite of being a weekday it was almost full. Thanks a lot Deepak.
Worth visiting !!

Awesome Hospitality by Deepak and Team
In the Morning I informed Deepak Dubey we will visit today Jamavar for Daughter Birthday Party and he confirmed to reserve place for us.
My Daughter was extremely happy as She received Birthday Gift from Deepak. Appreciate Mr Basu coming to meet as like a Family Member and enquring Hope everything is fine. This Gesture results into long lasting CRM.
Everytime I have new Request and Deepak ensures that is taken care of. Starter Vegetable Dal Jamavar are to be cherished.
Jamavar Jain Food is of Great Taste
You are a Gem in Hospitality Industry as because you serve customer with Zeal and Ensure Custome is treating like King.
Will surely visit again soon
Simply Exquisite
A lovely evening spent in most comforting ambience, super company and delicious food.
In the company of Mr. Dinesh Nair M.D. The Leela, a connoisseur of good cuisine, a man of taste. And when you have someone so much in the know doing the ordering the food has to be great.
Simple, as no one was really hungry so the man ordered just two starters : papad roll and chicken tikka. Both succulent and interesting. We did not need anything more, just kept refilling our plates with both these great selections/
A MUST MENTION is the lilting music. A selection of care and choice of classic old goldies of hindi Music, curated by Mrs. M Nair herself an active Director in The Leela,
A soothing single malt keeping company the evening was a hit.
Desserts did not let us down...a huge selection of ice creams, gulab jammus, Jalebi and rabdri and a SUGAR Free version of rasssugullas!
Must in all fairness mention the one discordant note: The pan, hard and bitter, perhaps because it was kept in the open for long and we were the last patrons to leave.
Ah well an evening to remember. thank you Mr. Dinesh.
A tryst with the fabric of tradition!
The warm ambience beckons you to indulge in tradition cuisine with perfect lighting and colour combinations. The seating is a bit huddled except for the beautiful canopied family corners done in red that assure exclusiveness.
Do spare a glance at the intricate paper mache' brocade on the well laid table that connects to the Pashmina root of Jamavar. Mr. Sachin and Mr. Negi will be gracious and keen to share details of the delicacies you order. The fiery Rasam is apt for incessant rains. Kurkure Bhendi is worth a try to start with; its tangy and sans the omnipresent chick pea flour which was something different. South Indian prawn fry served on a base of banana leaf is relishing. Do indulge in the classic meetha paan that soothes the palate as you exit.
The long serving members in the F&B department are indeed a pride to reckon with.
Thankyou Mr. Deepak for recommending the classic wine from Grover Vijay Amritraj Reserve Collection for the gentleman. It did echo the pathos of "every sip epitomises the signature on the bottle".
A guided tour of Indian cuisine
Was invited by the hotel to experience the Jamavar restaurant. It wasn’t just a fantastic experience but I was also guided through the courses and specialities by the manager, Deepak, explaining where the dishes came from and why they were prepared in the fashion they were.
Unfortunately far too much food and variety in one sitting. Fortunately means I will have to come again!
