Great casual tasting room. Do the Rockslide !!
We enjoyed this friendly and unpretentious winery and tasting room. Very nice and knowledgeable host. Itโs a very casual setting but they do have some unique things for purchase. Our favorite was the Rockslide! VictorB
Be the first to ReplyGreat wines
Great wine and friendly Yvonne and her husband gave us the history of the winery and answered all my many questions about the wine they made. Prices maybe high but it is a boutique winery. They create fine wines not mass produced. Highly recommend there winery if looking to taste fine wines

So, here's the thing. Going here was fun. We had a nice tasting, some charcuterie, it was a pleasant drive to get there. They have an outdoor area where you can sit while you try your wines. I would recommend it as an experience, something to do in Sedona when you've had enough hiking and crystal-gazing. Did we buy any of the wine? No. Enough said? I think so.

Fun little tasting room outside of Sedona with super nice staff (Steveโs the man) and surprisingly tasty wines. Grabbed a few bottles to take back to California! Worth the 15-min drive out of town.
Be the first to ReplyDon't expect your CA wine experinece. Bring money.
OK. We're in Northern AZ. A winery? Gave it a chance. Not fancy, We thought the tasting was pricy ($24, about $5 for a third of a glass). (In CA some areas are free to taste. Maybe we are just cheap.) The reds were not served at a proper temperature. We selected 5 reds for tasting and immediately got a flight of 5 small vials of wine and a glass. We expected more of a one on one with the host and a poured serving for each taste. This was self serve. No discussion of each wine's features. Felt like, "here you go, let me know what you want to buy". Spent our money on tasting and left. You would think a discount would be given for tasters. Wine was not good enough for the asking prices.

Yummy wine and one of the best charcuterie boards Iโve had to date. It was so creative and DELICIOUS to go with some yummy wine. A pleasant Cornville surprise on our tour with Rachel Reenstraโs Vortex to Vineyards tour.
Be the first to ReplyA bit pricey but oh so good
Looking for a place to take edge off after immersing ourselves in vortices all morning we made the quick drive from. Sedona. We had the place ourselves at 12 on a Tuesday. Perfecto! They didn't have white vs red flight here. You pick 5 out of 9 for the typical tasting. We each got a flight with different choices so we could sample and also the chartucherie board. At $42 it is pricey but is loaded up and delicious. All the wines were scrumptious too! Each flight works out to be about 1.5 glasses of wine in total.
Be the first to ReplyUnexpected, enjoyable tasting
The staff at the tasting room was very, very nice and welcoming. Tasting options were good, albeit at 20 USD, a bit high, given the tiny sips. Highly educational on wineries in Arizona having a longer history that Napa or Sonoma, it was an unexpected experience for us during our visit to Sedona. The wines on offer are nice, a bit pricey but, given the "boutique" size and very small volume produced, understandably so.
Be the first to ReplyEhh tasting wines at high prices
After several stops this winery was underwhelming for the atmosphere (music was extremely loud), service (felt like another number) and most of all the wines. The prices were comparably high for a flight and the wine was ehh at best. This wonโt be a stop we make on our next tour.
Be the first to ReplyRelaxing, nice atmosphere for excellent wine tasting.
This winery had several excellent red wines to taste. However, the cost per bottle at this winery as with all the others we visited in Arizona seemed quite high to me. If you like one enough to buy for a special occasion I can understand that. We enjoyed a total of 4 wineries on this trip in March, and I honestly thought the wines here were likely the best. However, I make no claims to be an expert on any wines. The cost for tastings is all right and atmosphere of most wineries is very pleasant. The weather could not have been nicer. If you enjoy wine tasting this winery should be on your list, I believe.

We went with a tour to this vineyard. The wine flight consists of 5 wines. I also ordered a glass of sangria. Iโm not a huge wine connoisseur but I really enjoyed the energy of the tasting room. Everyone was friendly and helpful. My sangria was delicious! There was a band playing music. The picnic area had lawn games. A fun place to hang out with friends

That the Owner went off on TSA in Airport and told it like it was.
For those who are unaware Owner is drummer in band Tool.
ZERO STARS - RUDE and INSULTING!
We walked into the cute tasting room in the front of the facility that was about a third full and the staff member suggested we go to the back tasting room. We thought she was trying to spread people out for Covid.
We got to the back tasting room and it was nearly full, so we went back to the front and let her know and said we could get better service up front. She went to check out some other people who were finishing up and told them she tries to send the "tourist" outback.
We walked out. We confirmed with the people walking out what she had said. Funny thing is they were from California. They said the wines were marginal at best and overpriced.
We don't need to be insulted. We have a 650 bottles cellar at home, buy wine by the case to enjoy to remember great places, and have traveled all over for wine tasting. Never have we been treated so poorly.
Very good experience!
This turned out to be our favorite winery, and we originally weren't planning on going to this one. But, what a gem. The wines at this winery were amazing. I actually ended up purchasing 4 bottles knowing I was going to have to figure out where in my suitcase these were going to go. But, I was definitely going to find room to take these home with me. And, coincidentally we timed it where there was live music and the young man performing was just amazing. We were only going to stay for a short time at this winery planning to move on to the next winery, but because of the great wine and super music we skipped the next place and stayed at this winery. We didn't try the food as we had already eaten at another winery, but from what I saw of the food being served I would most definitely order food at this winery the next time. You won't be disappointed visiting this winery!!!!! Cheers

We stopped here first on our visit to wine country. It was a Saturday so of course the whole area was busy; however, we didn't feel too crowded. We ordered a couple flights in the tasting room (the guy wasn't very friendly, but not rude either). We took our flights outside to their picnic area, and it was beautiful. There was someone out there bussing tables to keep it cleaned up. It was a unique place, sitting in a fun yard under trees at our picnic table enjoying some wine. We loved it! I wish we'd ordered some apps to eat as they don't supply palette cleansing crackers.
Be the first to ReplyPretty ... and pricey
Javelina Leap has a unique setting that is very inviting. The first tasting room is a huge bar, and itโs pretty dark in there. There is another tasting room that is larger with high top tables. There is plenty of outdoor seating some under cover and some under trees (picnic tables). A gentleman was playing music which was quite varied, and he was talented. We really werenโt impressed with any of the wines. They werenโt bad they just werenโt anything special โ especially for the price tag which averaged about $50 a bottle. The only reason we even bough a bottle is because we were visiting with friends and wanted something to drink. The flatbread pizzas were just ok. Service was a bit slow. Granted they were fairly busy but they appeared understaffed. We got 2 pizzas, one tasting, and one bottle of wine for $100.
Be the first to ReplyNice outdoor setting but that's about it
The cons:
- Overly crowded with obnoxious, large bus tours of people who seemed more interested in getting buzzed over tasting
- Staff seemed unprepared, annoyed, and sloshed my tastings in the carafes without a greeting or word about their wines
- Pricey flights ($20/ea) for average wine.
The pros:
- Pretty greenery in a tranquil outdoor setting
- Nice lawn area to picnic
good wines and options to experience
did a wine tasting here and overall good wines but not great - loved the different seating ares both indoors and outdoors. Place was super busy, including wine tour mini bus, and appeared to be only one lady working, so felt for her for sure.
Be the first to ReplyI left not feeling entertained or satisfied
The staff were nice but didn't really interact much with our group. We walked in, had our wine, and left. The number of wines that you could taste was very limited. However, you were able to choose five to try and the pour amount was good.
The place was small, but they did what they could. This wouldn't be a stop on my next trip to Arizona.
There wasn't much to do outside. I wish that we got to interact with the staff and learn more about the area and the wine.
Um, ok. Just because close to closing shouldnโt mean No service.
Um, some good wines but very over priced. Got there 30 min. B4 close and bought tasting but no explanation or Service. Disappointed
Be the first to ReplyGirls Bday Trip with terrible start to wine tour day
Don't visit. My friends and I were on our bday trip. This was the first stop on our wine tour day. An older thin lady was rude even to our tour guide from the moment we arrived. She seemed to not even know that our wine tastings had already been paid for by our tour company! She gave us a bland descriptive sheet of wine, and poured our tastings. There was no description of the process of making the wine, varietals, etc. The wine at my local grocery store was better (and I have done wine tastings all over the world). I wish I could rate this place a zero.
I suspect this older lady is biased against certain groups; we bought several bottles of wine and gave gratuity to the other establishments we visited.
