Came here on a Friday for lunch and had a nice time.
The carts brought everything out extremely fast, but we had to wait a long time to get anyone's attention for soy sauce and other things. The food was good overall.

Came here for dinner about a month ago with a large group, 8 adults and 4 kids around 5:30pm on a a Saturday evening. We had made reservations in advance and the restaurant was about 1/2 full when we arrived and about 3/4 full 1.5hrs later when we left. This is one of the fancier spots in Chinatown where staff wear nicer uniforms and service relatively cordial and attentive, good to see that aspect of the service is still intact after downsizing from their original location. I'm glad they survived post-Covid since their dimsum and banquet food is a staple in these parts. The decor inside is traditional Chinese banquet hall style with a lot of red and splashes of gold, though glad to see it slight more toned down with some contemporary lighting (holdover from previous restaurant in this space?). Either way this place though smaller than it's last incarnation can fit easily over 100, prob close to 130+.The food--we ordered a variety of dim sum (yes you can order it for dinner) including siumai (steamed pork/shrimp dumplings), shrimp changfun (steamed rice noodle rolls w/shrimp inside), hargow (steamed crystal wrapper shrimp dumplings), sautรฉed green beans, sautรฉed Chinese broccoli, sizzling beef platter, full order of whole roasted chicken, a whole steamed fish, stir-fried lobster, fried noodles with mushrooms and yangchow fried rice. Overall food was tasty, would recommend all the items except the chicken which was a bit bland that night. The green beans, lobster, sizzling beef and stir fried noodles were highlights.
Be the first to ReplyMy favorite place we ate on our trip.
Such an experience! We were lucky and were seated right away.
Be the first to ReplyGreat dim sum.
Easy seating, quick serving, high quality Enjoyed all the dishes. Recommend
Be the first to ReplyI was craving pork buns so I stopped in and got them.
This is a dim sum restaurant so they are walking around with the cart and you basically pick what you want to eat.I got 3 pork buns for $5.95 and a $1 tea. The pork buns were soft and flavorful. Just note there is paper on the bottom I didn't notice at first so I took a bite of some of the paper by accident.Restaurant gives old school vibes
Be the first to ReplyTasteless and a complete rip-off.
Staff also hover like vultures then are rude. We had the worst experience here and to top it all off at the end, my friend found hair in her noodles which she immediately dropped before we could take a picture because we already went through a nightmare of the blandest dishes described below. The place is only good for their dumplings but if you want real food, you might as well go to your local chinese takeout because (1) the e-fu longevity noodles tasted so bad and the "crabmeat" was not there to the point they had to dig around my plate to show me - but that is NOT the only time they dug around my plate: (2) they also had to poke my food to show that the "dried scallops fried rice with baby fried shrimp and nuts" was all there but as you can see in the pictures THERE WERE NONE (just rice and brown stuff) and it was $24.The lady kept putting her finger near my food while the manager was trying to show me these tiny brown thing is the scallops and shrimp but once the manager brought out the dish again, you can tell the just fried onion topping. How can anyone mess up fried rice? We still tipped because it's really the owner and the cook's fault but for $84 total that was a night of horrible food we cannot get back. The food is very authentic with a reasonable price! I normally go for har gow (shrimp dumplings) and laosabao (sweet and salty egg yoke buns) to decide if I like the dim sum place. They did great job for laosabao, har gow is less impressive. It would be great if they could improve on the tea selections though, tea is equally important to dim sum if not more.
Be the first to ReplyFast paced tasty dim sum for the full Chinatown experience.
Crowded but moves quickly. Worth the wait if you have to.
Be the first to ReplyVisited on sunday noon.
Very long wait. When you arrive, you need to go inside to get a waiting ticket. When your number is ready, they will call you. There is a waiting area, but very small. Be prepared to wait outside for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Staffs are very nice and kind. The dimsum cart always roam around and ask if you would like to order more. I recommend hargow dimsum, beef noodle, braised beef. The foods are warm and fresh. If you need sauce, you just need to ask for it. Tea is preset. 1 dollar per person per table. They have some other options like wines and beers. To order, look over the menu and just point on the picture. Some waitress aren't too good with english. If you use picture, it will be easy for bothOverall, I really enjoyed all foods in the cart. I ordered random ones too. They were really good. I highly recommend this new experience type restaurant.

Ordered this food on Uber eats and it had absolutely no flavor. The veggies were just thrown into a pot and heated up with no salt or anything. The dumplings were sticky, way too thick and had absolutely no flavor. The hot and sour soup was thick, slimy and tasted like plastic veggies in it. I almost threw up trying to eat them. So Unfortunate I had to literally throw everything away.

No relations to me, but a fine tasty friendly Chinese restaurant! Started by the grandfather, dad and now the son owns this fine establishment. We wanted Dim Sun and noodles so we decided to look for this restaurant. Easy to find and the food is top notch. First of the staff is super friends and fun. These were the ladies pushing the food carts around. Then we met the Manager Tammy Law, we spoke and laughed for a while. Even asked if we could purchased some T-shirts, which we did. We'll definitely come back and eat here again. Thanks Tammy and staff for a wonderful lunch.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Dim Sum spot.
The old Jing Fong was better but this one is similar just very small. So everyone is almost touching elbows in this place. However the food quality and the customer service is great! Also the beef with crispy noodles is great too.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was absolutely delicious and quick.
Admittedly, it was a little overwhelming to order being that you have such a huge selection of foods to choose from the cart, but everything was great.

My mom and I were in the area and were looking for a bite to eat. I noted with interest that Jing Fong had reopened in the old Red Egg space, so we headed over. It was around 2pm, so we were afraid they wouldn't have dim sum anymore but the cart ladies were still going strong. They told us that after 4pm you can order on demand dim sum. We here about 7 items between us and everything was great. They even made me plain rice rolls when I said I didn't want anything inside them. The salted egg yoke buns were amazing. I really like how the new location is quieter and less crazy than the old location. I never took dim sum newbies to the old location because I felt like it would be too overwhelming. I can definitely see taking newbies here to this new location.
Be the first to ReplyCame here with some homegirls, and it's a nice place.
They don't serve alcohol only beer, and I think it's byob because the table beside us had their own ย bottles. The food was truly good, and the staff was very polite and attentive. The girls ordered dumplings, and I opted out for the Tan on mei noodles, which is like Singapore mei fun my fav; that was really good, it has seafood. I wish I had gotten dumplings, though, so I could try them.

I had high expectations but unfortunately the food was bland AND cold. Not sure why the food was cold because the place was packed. Disappointing! Also, one of the servers kept pushing shrimp dishes on us...

This is a hard one to write because I'm aware it's been hard for them since the pandemic. I went during lunch today and the food was cold and bland. They came off the steam cart. Pork spare ribs were still warm for a min or two but Har gow was barely warm. Turnip cake was mush and greasy. I use to love this place but none of the food was memorable today. If it gets better, I'll update the review.
Be the first to ReplyLove the dim sum .
I was at the old location before and now in the new location and food still the top .Lava bun is my thing love the salty and sweet.
Be the first to ReplyLunch around 2pm for two on Saturday.
It has been years since I last ate at the Jing Fong in their previous location but I knew I was in for a treat! The space is a fraction of the size of the last restaurant and patrons are required to be seated with other parties to squeeze everyone in and minimize the wait times. It feels chaotic and is very much part of the experience of dim sum at Jing Fong.My friend and I ordered several dishes, some new to me and I loved each one. Dim sum makes me nostalgic for the times my family would go only ย once in a while in Phoenix. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyDon't go on Sundays.
Placed our name at 11am - got seated at around 2 pm. Waited 2 hours to get a table for 4 people. The dim sum is just ok. Not really worth the 2 hour wait. This place is just overrated. If not for friends we haven't seen in a long time, we could have gone to other places.

I was so excited for the downtown reopening but was disappointed during the holiday when fried items of dim sum came out cold! Complaints were made because the next cart had hot fried items. Two stars are for chicken feet!

Glad that Jing Fong has returned to lower Manhattan! Been meaning to try it but didn't want to haul my butt over to the Upper West Side. This is your classic dim sum place, full of carts getting pushed around! I was very impressed with Jing Fong's selection - the carts were always full (the restaurant was full of patrons) and I was able to find everything I wanted.Char siu bao was fresh, warm, delicious. I also had the char siu pastry that was probably my favorite! So flaky on the outside and I just love the mouthwatering char siu on the inside. The Siu Mai was also bomb dot com. I also enjoyed the turnip cake, shrimp rolls, shrimp balls, sticky rice. For dessert we got egg tarts and sesame balls. Unfortunately the egg tarts were a little cold from being on the cart for so long but so be it. The rest of the meal was amazing!
Be the first to ReplyWent for Lunar New Year dinner and not sure I will go back
Went for Lunar New Year dinner and not sure I will go back anytime soon as they screwed up my group's entire meal. We ordered dim sum to start and it literally showed up almost an hour after we placed the order. People around us arrived later than us but received their food sooner. And then they sent it out to us in take out containers because they mistook it for an order to go!!! When they realized they made a mistake, they at least could have taken it to the kitchen and put the food on plates - but ended up leaving it on our table in the plastic containers!!! With regard to our mains - and they wrote down the order incorrectly and brought out only a portion of the correct entrees. And we ordered a whole Peking Duck and while the table next to us got theirs sliced at their table - we received our already cut up from the kitchen. That is not proper service!!!!! I left the restaurant feeling embarrassed because I made the reservation for this special meal, and the whole thing was laughable - but not in a good way. I won't be recommending Jing Fong to anyone I know in the near future.
Be the first to ReplyVery authentic Hong Kong style dim sum.
Efficient, quick service. My employee got married here
Be the first to ReplyGreat Dim Sum.
The shrimp dumplings are amazing. We also had coconut pudding, beef rice roll, fried Pork buns, egg yolk buns, and shu mai. The waiters there are very nice and helpful. The jasmine tea was wonderful. Highly recommend.
