DON'T MISS THIS GEM!!!
Y'all don't miss the amazing pizza here!!! First, the restaurant has a fun atmosphere, and perhaps more importantly absolutely fabulous service. We went in for dinner on our trip and it was so fantastic we went back for lunch. The restaurant is pretty big, so you can usually get a spot in the busier side with tables all around the bar and kitchen (fun to watch the pizza guys work!), in a large quieter room, or outside on the large patio. We made a special request for certain toppings on a pizza and they were so kind to accommodate and make it- it was fabulous. We tried a few things on the menu--the pizza stood out as our favorite. Whether you do a few toppings or just the Margherita, I seriously can't image you'll be disappointed. Also their wine list is phenomenal and so reasonable. The food and wine was the best value we've ever found in Cali. And if you have kiddos, their kids menu is great as well. Seriously, don't miss this place.

I visited the other night with my daughter. It’s the second time visiting and not disappointed . Our waiter was very personable and made our night out awesome . We ordered a pizza to share and got the truffle dipping sauce which was delicious. We ordered 2 cookies to go and they are huge. Sooo good. Love this place.

We visited Stella as it was close to our hotel and we didn’t want to get in a car again after a long journey. What a great choice. Our waiter, Kieran, was friendly, helpful and attentive but not overly so. We had a Caesar salad, charcoaled Brussels and two thin and crispy pizzas - barrata and salami and butternut squash. All the food was fantastic … some of the best pizzas we’ve had … washed down with a delicious bottle of Sonoma red. We went on a Monday night and it was heaving, understandable why. Well worth a visit.

Travelling with teens, and sick of going places with burger on the menu, someone recommended this restaurant. I loved ! Great quality food and drinks. The tortellini was to die for! Delicious. We felt like we were in a nice local restaurant instead of a touris trap which was exactly what we felt like.

Great atmosphere, hard working and friendly crew. I tried the mushroom pizza with a glass of Californian Cabernet Sauvignon and enjoyed an excellent dinner. Exceptional quality.

The best meal in Los Angeles yet!! We had breakfast at the regent Beverly, but this is even better and much cheaper! Plus - nice place and people, our best recommendations!
Be the first to ReplySuper good gluten-free crust
The gluten-free crust is the best one I ever had. Extra plus for the crust dips. Sometimes a long wait (first time I went here we waited 45 min for two pizzas).

Stopped in for dinner a couple days ago. We were seated right away and the staff were all nice . Our waiter was actually hilarious and we loved him. Wish I could recall his name. We ordered meatballs and truffle fries for appetizers and also got pizzas . Everything was so good and we will absolutely stop here again when in town. Ohhhh we also bought cookies to go. They were HUGE and beyond delicious.

Shutters recommendation when we were in a pinch and too tired to venture far. Understaffed (like everyplace) but our waiter was super, super sweet just stretched way too thin. We thought the pizza was decent/OK. We sat on a weird side patio that was part of a different building that was not part of the restaurant. Perhaps if we were seated in the restaurant we would have liked the vibe more. Ask to sit in the restaurant.

Friendly waitstaff, great pizza, they accommodated us with our special ingredient needs for our dietary restrictions. Kale salad was delicious, the meatballs with red sauce really tasty. Decent wine selection. Overall it’s hard to be disappointed here.

Placed an order here based on a recommendation from a local. I ordered the Thin and Crispy Tavern Style Pizza - Double Cheese and my friend ordered the same - Meat lover's. The pizza was fresh and flavorful. We could easily taste the oregano and garlic in the sauce. We also ordered the (3) crust dipping sauces. The flavors offered were warm Tomato sauce, Garlic butter, and Truffle guyere fonduta(cream based sauce). My favorite was the Tomato sauce, it was mildly chunky with a slight kick and full of flavor. My second choice was the garlic butter. We also bought a chocolate chip cookie with no sea salt which was a nice size. I would say it was equivalent to the size of 3 or 4 regular chocolate chip cookie. My friend and I split it. It was also fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Placing our order via phone was very easy and the pick up time quoted to us was accurate.

We got there at 5:30 - sat on the left side of entrance which is the less populated and quieter. By the time we left there was a crowd waiting to be seated. Be on the safe side and make a reservation! The service is attentive. The staff is pleasant. The food is delicious. Brody the GM is a hands on manager who makes sure it all WORKS. This is a happening place and I will be back next week!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Artisan Pizza
Prompt attentive service without being intrusive wonderfully augments the delicious artisan pizza offerings and expertly skilled bar staff (I’m very particular about the pour of my vodka tonic and their barman absolutely nailed it!)

Food was excellent
Service was excellent for the amount of people doing it (2 for a full restaurant) however it was clear they needed more people to help out. Both staff on duty were friendly and did they’re best to help out. Had a really good meal here and the atmosphere was good and the interior was modern and classy but still casual. Lots of options too. Would come back If I was in the area again!
Solid Pizza, Great Vibe, Outstanding Bakery, Pricey for Pizza
I make pizza at home...a lot of pizza...six nights a week; Stella Barra is not as good as mine, but I'd go back. Read on for details.
If you can: make reservations, especially on what you can expect to be a busy evening. We (party of two) arrived around 6:15pm and waited about 30 minutes. Take advantage of Opentable and plan ahead.
That said, you can expect SBP to be busy in the evening, busy and buzzing Our waiter, Andy, was friendly and helpful. The evening special pizza we settled on, the wild mushroom pizza, featured a crispy/chewy thin crust with a medium thick cheese layer and modest dose of wild mushrooms. I had asked that the sea salt called for in the pizza description be held and the salt in the cheese was more than sufficient. We enjoyed the pizza and would order it again; it paired nicely with a Syrah.
The bakery has at least one outstanding feature: the chocolate chunk/chip cookies. the flourless chocolate walnut cookie is impressive to gaze upon but the chocolate chunk cookie is the winner for me: get a bag to go.
