If you are talking about Jurong East Yuhua Hawker Centre
If you are talking about Jurong East Yuhua Hawker Centre Food, Joo Siah Bak Kooth Teh is no stranger to anyone who stay around the vicinity. In 2015, they were relocated from the 2 stalls of the Hawker Center to a near by coffee shop which is just a stone throw away. The soup base is a Teochew Classic Style of White Pepper Style. Despite being a Teochew, I'm not a fan of peppery Bak Kut Teh but I would say that Joo Siah Bak Koot Teh is not overly peppery. Its soup has a good depth and slight pepper. We were given the choice to mix sides dishes. Preserved Vegetables strike a good balance of saltiness and sweetness without being too oily. Tau Ki too.Preserved Vegetables & Tau Ki (Mixed) - $2Too bad the main item (Pork Ribs) that we wanted to order has sold out. Order the innards as they are all cleanly prepared and not overcook. Soup is refillable with request from them.Fen Chang - $5.50 , You Tiao - $1, Lean Meat - $5.50Even the meat is tender and generous portions were given in the bowl. As compared to their former location in Hawker Centre, I find that the current location is better as it is not so stuffy. There are alot of chain outlets BKT in the west especially in malls. However if you are looking for quality and a more economical BKT, you may want to consider Joo Siah.

When you mention Ba Kut Teh, someone will always cite the popular haunts, especially the highly popular, and commercialized Song Fa. However, if you're like me, and you need it clear and peppery, Joo Siah will be your fix.The Ba Kut Teh served here is the clear type, not the more commonly seen dark broth ones. I usually just dark a little bit of dark sauce into it, cause there's something about that aesthetic that works for me. The soup is about as peppery as it gets, and the meat is super soft and tender. You can get a free refill as well! It is a little bit more out of the way then some of the other joints, but if you're in the West, and have some time to spare, I would definitely give it a try with this being one of my favourite Bak Kut Teh joint!

Forget about Song Fa or Rong Hua, this is the place where you need to be for Bak Kut Teh in Singapore. It is a bit remote as it is in the West, in the middle of a residential area (which is the reason why I did not give it 5stars) so it is a bit of the beaten path but man, it is so worth it.You order (and pay) at the counter and take a seat at the tables and plastic chairs, the uncle will serve you your food quickly at your table. The pork ribs are so soft but yet tasty and the soup is peppery but is still light and has real depth. ย A bonus is that you can get free refills for the soup, just go up to the counter and ask the uncle for some soup which will easily serve your entire table. As if this is not enough, they also serve braised pork knuckle which melts in your mouth and their youtiao is chewy but crispy at the same time (and not greasy at all as usual).Oh and did I mention that they are cheap as chips? (Well, actually, they are even cheaper as chips hahah).HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
