tasty eatshad to give this place a try after hearing about it. was lucky enough to snag a reservation for saturday evening. was greeted and seated right away. lovely ambiance. went for the tasting menu with the abalone add-on to the jook. overall it was a delicious meal but I will separate them into the good and the not as good...good: caviar kim was by far my fav - crispy seaweed with avocado topped with a generous portion of caviar. so delicious...could have easily downed a few more. galbi and chan was my second fav. galbi was incredibly tender and perfectly cooked. my fav piece was def the meat next to the bone. the side dishes in the chan were beautifully arranged and provided nice variety. Goguma juak loved the texture of the donut - crispy on the outside and so chewy on the inside, paired well with the ice cream. striped jack was yummy, especially the creamy lemon sauce.not as good: jook did not taste right. it was more like watery rice. should've definitely been cooked longer to have a more creamy consistency. the abalone was a nice touch, but the foie gras was too strong and felt out of place. Nong-eo...although tasty, I didn't find it that interesting. sear fished with a light tomato sauce. that plus the fact that they substituted the fish for branzino. Citrus was like an orange slapping you in the face. orange sauce on orange sorbert with orange pieces in it. didn't like it that much and there was also ice cream with the next dish so felt like overkill. probably would've preferred another savory dish.overall this place was an interesting dining experience. would def recommend it if you want to try something different.
