No need to be on time as the elevator up only holds 4 and nobody is in any kind of rush. Wine with each course is $150 pp. But they do have an extensive wine list.

Mostly locals and not touristy at all. The service was impeccable and the food deserved the Michelin star. Private elevator and exit to the Tour Eiffel . Will go back every time. You must try. Not too expensive.

We were able to eat at Le Jules Verne while in Paris and the view alone is worth the 5 stars. We reserved this restaurant last minute, so we didn't have the most ideal table to begin with, but as the night went on, we were moved to a table with an even better view of the night time of Paris. The service here is impeccable. Each person we encountered that evening, from the person who took us up to the restaurant in the elevator to those who served us our food, were very professional. Between our whole family, we had either 5 or 7 courses that evening. My son and I ordered the 5 courses and my husband and daughter got the 7 courses. Each dish was different and each of us liked different things that we had. None of the dishes were bad, but, for instance, I don't like certain textures, so I personally didn't like the venison. The best part of this dinner was the fact that we could go out a special door to look outside on the Eiffel tower and not have to worry about the crowds. It was amazing! At the end of our meal, we each got a piece of chocolate with a quote from Jules Verne, the writer who this restaurant is named after. I highly recommend you try this place at least once, especially if you are making a once in a lifetime trip to France. You'll get an amazing view from the Eiffel tower as well as delicious food!

We made reservations for 11/01/23 for the first seating and made sure to be one of the first in line to enter. In doing so we received an amazing window table with stunning views. The service was impeccable. The 7 course meal was the most amazing dining experience. This was not merely food but cuisine on such an elevated level as to be second to none. I've dined in many exquisite restaurants but nothing can compare to the ambience and most memorable meal at the Jules Verne in the Eiffel Tower. * We did not take photos of the food because we didn't want to detract from this amazing dining experience.

Tied for the best meal I've ever had! What a very special Paris experience and something you must do if you have the time! It's such a treat and unforgettable. As you enter you're actually in a building that is built around the actual Tower and the elevator ride to the restaurant is pretty awesome with a spectacular view of all of Paris waiting at the top for you. The service is an experience in itself! The staff is so friendly and accommodating, making you feel extremely special. The food...out of this world! If you like light and frothy with cream and butter this is your place! The flavors are a symphony and every plate provides a new experience to the senses. My personal favorite was the onion frothy mousse with truffle and the turbot with leek and yuzu.

OMG! Food, service, the views, everything! Once in a lifetime experience. We went for 12/31/23 and could've not asked for a better last meal of the year!
Be the first to ReplyIt was quite an experience that won't be soon forgotten.
I booked 3 months in advance and was a few days late from the day reservations opened up online for booking. I was only 3 days late and Christmas dinner slots were already completely booked and I only had a handful of time slots to choose from for lunch. I ended up reserving Christmas day lunch at 1:30pm. The cost was $510 euros (approx $565 usd) to confirm a reservation for a party of 2. SERVICE: The service was great. Everyone we encountered were polite and professional. Most of the staff speaks both French and some English, but some only speak French. FOOD: The food was very good, well, everything except the main entree. They offered 2 options for lunch - a 5 course tasting menu or a 7 course tasting menu. I opted for the 5 course menu. Many wines options are also offered for an additional charge but we selected still water, sparkling water, and citrus sodas. We tried: 1. Crab: Flavored with Tarragon, Granny Smith Apple Zephyr (5 out of 5) 2. Scallop: Puffed Buckwheat Galette Dieppoise Sauce and Oscetra Caviar (3 out of 5) 3. Langoustine: Prepared as a Ravioli. Parmesan cream, Thin Beetroot jelly (5 out of 5) 4. Venison & Chicken: Roasted with Cranberries. Braised Cabbage, Poivrade Sauce (both 1 out of 5; unfortunately, the sauce tasted burned, chicken was overcooked, and the venison simply lacked flavor) 5. Chocolate: Warm Soufflé. Cocoa nibs ice cream, Crispy Gavotte (3 out of 5) AMBIANCE: The restaurant has simple elegance and contemporary decor. Nothing flashy. The window views of Paris was nice but has some obstruction due to the nature of the Eiffel Tower structure that is holding it up. FELLOW PATRONS: Our experience was mixed with some friendly co-diners, as well as some first class snobs. Unfortunately, we were seated by a stuffy foreigner couple. They were not french, they spoke a foreign language but were not friendly to us. Overall, if you are interested in trying a Michelin star restaurant while visiting the iconic Eiffel Tower all in one go and are okay with shelling out the cash, this is worth trying at least once in my option.

The food was great, the service was fantastic, the view is unparalleled. I see some reviews slamming the food, but it really was delicious. The standouts for me were the scallop, langoustine and the cheese course. The scallop, strangely, kinda looked like a taco, but it was superb. The lobster was also out of this world. The presentation was gorgeous with what I think was a beet gelee on top. The cheese was melted with shaved truffle and warm brioche. I could happily eat it every day of my life. The only plates that didn't impress me were the crab and the chicken. The crab was quite fishy, and it was an odd combination what I seem to remember was Granny Smith apple foam. The chicken was actually very tasty, but I just expect more from a Michelin star tasting menu main course. It felt a bit like we were being cheated. The turbot was a toss up. I don't know what the flavors were, but I really liked them. That said, the flavor was very strong and I can see it being polarizing. If I could do it over, we would've skipped the wine pairing and ordered a nice bottle. They definitely didn't skimp on their pours, but, if you're like me and have a hard time not finishing a good glass of wine paired with a delicious bite, you might walk out a little tipsy...and you might not totally remember what you had for dessert.

Excellent service, amazing and creative presentation of dishes. Five coarse meal with wine pairing perfect. They also provide a seven coarse meal with wine pairing which the men enjoyed.. Ambiance elegant, calm and well orchestrated.

We dined at the Jules Verne in September 2004 for my 50th birthday with friends, all of us coming from California. The evening was exceptional, so much that I chose to do it again in 2014 for my 60th... not so well. My 70th is coming up and we won't be returning. We were left standing at street level well past our reservation time and we were only taken after what seemed like a private party was taken and their evening well underway. The menu was no longer a selection as before but a set menu with your choice of 5 or 6 courses. We felt we were treated as an afterthought. Not the special evening we had planned for. Paris will always be special but not the Jules Verne.

In a nutshell, the view here is unbeatable, and the food is beatable.Because Jules Verne is at the very top of Eiffel Tower, there is a 360 degrees view of the city. Window tables require 90 day advanced reservation, but the view from any table is spectacular. To enter the restaurant, you can bypass the long tourist security line and take a special elevator that not only accesses the summit level of the restaurant, but also the first and second levels. If you are already planning to tour the tower, you can simply do this after lunch or dinner here.Although Jules Verne is a 1-star Michelin star restaurant, the food was not quite up to the standards of other 1-star Michelin star restaurants. Most dishes were good, but there were couple misses (1 star off). For example, the scallops was sliced thinly and molded into a gelee. Why did they do that? Scallop Jell-O had a weird texture. I would rather have a nicely seared whole scallop. Also, the cod I had was not seasoned. The description said it was "simply cooked" - maybe too simply cooked.Come for the view, not for the food.

Plan ahead and reserve super early on, like minimum 1 month or more.1. Reservation: absolutely necessary 2. Service: weird and awkward 3. Food: amazing4. View: it's inside the Eiffel Tower, enough said.Great view. 5. Cost: very pricey, full dinner will cost you minimum 350 per person.
Be the first to ReplyAn extremely memorable experience and Michelin worthy
An extremely memorable experience and Michelin worthy dishes and service make this place a top place! Loved every second of our lunch service and oh the views of Paris! Ordered the pre fixe lunch menu. Had two different options in the entree, plat and dessert. Entree: choice of scallops and raviolis - we all ordered the scallops (Saint Jacques) and were thinly sliced with a dollop of caviar and fried artichoke, delicious! Plat: choice of la bœuf ou cod fish - loved the la boeuf! Wonderful sauce and a fried polenta topped with black truffle shavings - cod fish, tenderly cooked with a wonderful cream sauce, loved!! Especially the mashed potatoes that it comes with! Dessert - poached pear, very interesting! Not very sweet but delicious and delicate - hazelnut ice cream with a little tart Overall, wonderful views, excellent service and delicious food! Make sure to make reservations in advance! They will ask you to pay in advance!

The view of the city is amazing. The nine course meal was fabulous and the service wonderful. Reservations and payment, except for liquor, must be made and paid in advance. It was well worth the effort and money.

Visiting Paris for the 3rd time and we finally had the chance to come here. I celebrated my birthday with my sister and we had the 3 course lunch meal. You have a private entrance, they take you up and to your table. Place was gorgeous and luxurious. Service was excellent. Food was a bit toooo small but it was good. It was an amazing experience.

If you have the opportunity to dine here, do. It is the most amazing experience you will ever experience in your life.

..... The name says it all! When we were planning our trip to Europe I joked, let's start our trip with dinner on our anniversary here... Well 5 months before we called American Express Platinum and asked them to schedule the dinner.. To which they said it was impossible as we had to call and there were a few hoops to jump through.... So, while on a trip to Costa Rica, figuring out the time difference, at 5 a.m. California time, we called and got the reservation for our anniversary!.. All that said, it was an amazing night!.. Perfectly clear, summer evening..... our table at the window and the food started to arrive... There are so many waiters and wine people, there is nothing you could ever want...The food was amazing.... A little fancier than we are used to... It was so good. The wine was so perfect with each course...We would definitely go back and would absolutely recommend it.

Absolutely phenomenal food and spectacular service! Top notch from ambiance, to decor, to service, and ultimately the dishes! It's presentation was fabulous and each dishes brought to us was different. Hats off to the chef and team! Definitely would come back over and over!

Great experience, if you enjoy prix fixe fine dining I would recommend (go with the 7 course option). If you want a window seat you really need to book within minutes of when they open up reservation 90 days prior to the day you wish to visit.

Jules Verne is magnificent! This was our 3rd visit to Jules Verne, and I decided to propose to my fiancé. The staff was very helpful in showing us to our seats, and escorting us to a private observatory (just for Jules Verne guests) where I proposed. When we returned for our meal, the food and service was just exceptional... and it has been that way each of the three times we visited. We are both vegan, and the staff went out of there way to prepare incredible dishes for a very diverse five course tasting. The truffle gnocchi was the best we've ever had, and the chocolate soufflé was just delightful. We highly recommend it!

The service was extremely slow, the waiter complained when informed a member of my party is vegetarian. Not gracious or accommodating considering this is not an inexpensive restaurant. In addition, not one staff person was wearing a mask. There was an ill child at the next table who gave a member of my party Covid. Finally after several hours there I gave up on getting the check and went over to the waiter to pay and then got up again to complete payment.Never again.
Be the first to ReplyWalk in to the southern pillar of the Eiffel Tower, and you
Walk in to the southern pillar of the Eiffel Tower, and you are escorted to a private elevator that whisks you away from the noise and crowds of people wanting to see this historic structure. The restaurant is divided into 2 small dining rooms. The one we ate in was about 10 -12 tables. There is also a smaller (2 tables) room in the interior of the tower. The views from any table in the main rooms are good, but book a table next to the window, if you can. The food is fabulous. It's better than I expected given it's a touristy place and has been around a long time. Chef Frédéric Anton has created an amazing gastronomic experience. They require a large fee (250€ for dinner) that should cover the small (5 course) tasting menu. The larger one (7 courses) will be additional cost. As I recall, wine is included in the price. After dinner, they will invite you to go down (Yes, you are about 20 feet above) to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower and give you a private code to get back in so you can take their private elevator down to collect your belongings.
Be the first to ReplyThe service was Impeccable.
The cuisines were magnificent. The view was out of this world. Dining at Jules Verne was a marvelous. The experience was very well thought out and carried out perfectly. This is a must try fine dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyThis has a great view.
The area is pretty cramped. You have to make a reservation before hand, which is standard in Paris. But the weird part is you must pay when booking (for the entire meal), and then they expect you to pay an additional fee after the meal. I thought it was all closed out but I guess not!The food is in small portions, but the taste is odd. It's not bad! But definitely not what was described on the menu. It was good for the experience, but they may want to add more options to the menu.

This was the experience of a lifetime! We did the 7 course tasting menu and although they were very small portions we were full after the 4 hours of eating and drinking and had never had such unusual recipes. The service was impeccable. Yes, it's very expensive, but add to this the unbelievable setting of the Eiffel Tower and we thought it was well worth it.
