I recently had an amazing dining experience at Junoon
I recently had an amazing dining experience at Junoon restaurant, where I celebrated my first salary with my husband. We opted for the 3-course meal, which turned out to be an absolute delight for our taste buds. Each course was exquisitely prepared and beautifully presented, but the real showstopper was the dessert. I have to say, Junoon's kulfi was simply out of this world! It was the perfect ending to an already wonderful meal.We thoroughly enjoyed our entire dining experience at Junoon, from the ambiance and service to the delicious food. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable and flavorful dining experience.

Food was fantastic and service was impeccable. I really appreciated the recommendations from our waiter. I would recommend and definitely go again the next time I'm in NYC.

This indian restaurant truly lives up to the hype (I've recently been to a few others that don't). The food was unique but also nostalgic, the cocktails are what you would find at a high end cocktail bar, and the service was outstanding. I look forward to going there again!
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant was unbelievable, so good.
The best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. We ordered the eggplant chaat, ghost chili murgh tikka, murgh lababdar & tellicherry duck. Everything was amazing, highly recommend. Definitely coming back for more! The staff was incredibly friendly as well. After reading reviews I decided to order a cocktail, season of love, and it was delicious!! Point is you will not regret coming!!

Absolutely wonderful dining experience with incredible service that deploys the constant monitoring for comfort of the guests without being intrusive. A beautiful location with warm and inviting lighting. And brilliant food that makes you want what he other person has ordered. It is worth the visit. The complex mix of flavors really highlights why they have gotten Michelin stars in the past.
Be the first to ReplyI was seriously thinking about going to this restaurant.
But after watching Mr Vikas Khanna judging MasterChef India, and his biased views towards certain contestants, decided not to visit this restaurant. He was seen favoring Aruna,Kamaldeep unnecessarily. I know this is not a review of restaurant but how can food be good if chef is so biased.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a mitchelin star place.
We did three course and were a group of 7. The wine pairing recommendations we good. All the apps and mains were cooked perfectly and nicely flavored. It's a prix fix place.
Be the first to ReplyA bit overpriced for indian food .
There are many other better places with better quality food around NYC .
Be the first to ReplyWhat a wonderful dinner at Junoon.
We had the chef's (non veg) tasting menu. Inventive but still retaining the essence of the food we've grown up eating. The three course option also seemed like a great choice - especially for a larger group. The courses perfectly complemented each other, without being too heavy or light. My favorite' s were the tuna puchka, and the Uni Moilee - which somehow reminded me of my mom's kerala meen molee despite it's elevated/different flavor profile. They kindly let us choose dessert off the regular menu if we desired instead of the planned tasting course, and we had the cricket and ma's rice pudding - both winners, and adorably served. Cocktails are a must if you drink alcohol - I had the sparkling saffron which was light, airy, and just the right amount of sweet. Ended with a bomb masala chai - but they have a great varied tea selection as well. Service was excellent - and quick without being rushed. This is definitely one of my favorites. Thank you for an amazing dinner Junoon!

Expensive, Americanized Indian food whose restaurant decor is what truly shines. Roughly $60 a person. 3/5 stars as a dinner spot.

Have been here a few times , although I love their food , ambiance and presentation, I was disappointed with the service of a particular male employee who takes care of a couple of tables at the entrance, last time I chose their main dining room and the service was perfect and the whole experience changed, goes to show how important a role service plays in a restaurant!!! Having said that it's still a beautiful place with amazing food !!

Came to this restaurant last week for the first time (small work dinner) and loved it. This place makes elevated food, but the atmosphere isn't pretentious at all, feels like anyone can come and enjoy. We started with a drink at the bar and I had a great Riesling that was crisper that I expected, which was really nice. The three of us then each ordered off the 3 course menu as well as ordering a sampling of all the breads (all were amazing) and the crispy eggplant that I'm still thinking about. Their sommelier was really great as well, she seasoned the glasses and gave us great recommendations. For my meal I ordered spicy paneer, a root vegetable dish and ma's rice pudding- first time I have ever had rice pudding and it was delicious.Overall- I recommend this place for sure. Staff was kind, spot was cozy, and the food was fantastic. Looking forward to coming back soon!

I heard so much about this place but it was such a disappointment! The food was served cold. We ordered Junoon spice chat which was very average. We also ordered Lasooni Palak, paneer pasanda, dal makhani with garlic naan. 10/10 for presentation and 1/10 for the taste. I understand that taste can be subjective but serving the food cold is not acceptable. Portion size was also pretty small compared to other Indian restaurants. Our server was great. He apologized for the food and removed it from our bill. I was really hoping for a good experience!
Be the first to ReplyWe had lunch at Junoon during nyc restaurant week.
We had an outstanding experience. The service was totally attentive without being intrusive. The food presentation was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious . We enjoyed the salmon and eggplant chaat as appetizers and the tandoori chicken for our main dish. Wish they would bottle the sauce!!! Our choices for dessert were ma's rice pudding and assorted sorbet. Looking forward to another visit very soon. Looking f

During our short trip to NYC, me and my wife wanted to experience a gala dinner night at a Michelin star restaurant. It goes without saying that we were fortunate to make the best decision to dining out at Junoon on last Wednesday night. We ordered their $95 per person menu offering which filled with some exquisite and delicious Indian cuisine items. Each dish was a perfect blend of Indian spices and other ingredients which not only fulfilled our appetite but it also lived up to our expectations. The restaurant ambience was quite perfect though we decided to sit in the outdoor patio area as that arrangement looked more appealing to us. Overall, I can not provide anything than 5 star ratings to Junoon for making our dining experience quite memorable to say the least.
Be the first to ReplyJunoon is one of my favorite restaurants.
Last week my friend and I went for restaurant week and they did not disappoint. The foos was delicious. I inhaled the cripsy eggplant and the sauce was sooo good. I had the shrimp moilee, I love coconut milk so this was a must. I enjoyed the sauce with my rice and roti. The watermelon appetizer was very pleasing to the eyes and refreshing to my palette. The sorbets was perfect before heading out in the NYC heat. My friend enjoyed his meal as well. The service was excellent and our waiter was able to tell me what dish had dairy and made sure I enjoyed the roti that had no butter. Excellent Excellent Service!!! I will be back soon Junoon!!!
Be the first to ReplyWe had a special dinner planned but they seated us outside
We had a special dinner planned but they seated us outside in 90+ weather since we wanted to order ala carte and all they offered inside was a $95/person pre fixe menu. The lady at the front Young, is not only rude but should not be in front of house! This was our second time here and last. Avoid it and get better Indian food elsewhere!

The food was amazing as well as the coordination in bringing the food. We were chatting at the table for a while after finishing our dessert and the staff was very patient. I had Lal maas and masala ribs which were phenomenal. Will definitely come again to have the same.
Be the first to ReplyThe price to sit inside is way costly.
And seating outside is very limited . For the price we paid some of the items on the main course was a little bland for our taste. Additionally the table we had was very unstable. The staff is very friendly, and they did accommodate us as we were walking in customers. Their online reservation was having issues and when we called no one would pick up. The atmosphere is nice. The desserts were different, but again taste was very light.

We went for a friend's birthday during a spring trip to New York City. The food, as my friend described it, was truly authentic. The service was the best part of it all as there was a last minute booking we made on that week. The people were incredibly nice and the decor was so luxurious and stunning. The food was good, however, the flavours appeared much more mellowed and subtle and your usual Indian food, perhaps to cater for a different palate. Despite a small disappointment in food, it is the experiences that puts fine dining at the apex of culinary experiences, and the new flavours that I experienced during this journey along with the happiness of being together with friends in these trying times made this occasion an unforgettable one.

I had high expectations for Junoon but sadly it missed the mark for me. The service was good but the food was a hit or miss depending on the dish. I came here for lunch and ordered from the prix fixe menu, $39 for 2 courses or $45 for 3 courses (aka dessert). Out of all the appetizers, the Salooni Maachi was beautifully plated compared to the other apps. It tasted good imo but the stand out appetizer was the ghost chili murgh tikka. I do not recommend the paneer mirchi pakora, it wasn't what I had expected and def not as good as the other apps. The entrees were good. Flavor wise, all the entrees were good but I was really hoping for something that would wow me. The entrees were a good size though. I'd recommend Murgh Lababdor out if all the entrees on the prix fixe menu. The Junoon spiced naan was great but can someone tell me why we only got 1 bowl of rice for 5 entrees? Dessert was ok. I had the kulfi pops - mango was very strong, the taro flavor one was the best, I didn't like the other 2 flavors. Overall an ok experience.
Be the first to ReplyI was excited to celebrate at a classy Indian restaurant
I was excited to celebrate at a classy Indian restaurant when we decided to go to nyc for our 25th anniversary. Heard amazing stories about the restaurant from friends ( pre Covid) and it was always in my bucket list! I was terribly disappointed with the experience. The service was lacking any warmth or hospitality, flavor was ok at best and presentation (except for dessert) were no different from any regular Indian restaurant. We are vegetarian and maybe thats part of the reason. For a $$$$ restaurant and given our special reason to be there, I expected much better food, presentation and service. I was hoping to make this a nyc ritual whenever I visited but no thanks.. I will save money and enjoy better food and service elsewhere. Terribly disappointed and not worth the money at all!

Great experience worth going once if you don't mind paying $100 per person. It's an overall awesome experience with good Indian food, great presentation and service. Some dishes are definitely stronger than others . To name a few - Chicken tikka, Murgh labbardar, paneer, laal Maas, dessert trio.

We loved our experience at Junoon! We ordered the pre-fixe menu which felt like a great value to include lobster and duck. My son had the smoked ribs starter which were served with a beautiful presentation under a smoked cloche. I had the tuna puffs which were incredible. My lobster entree was a whole tail and both claws. Every step of the meal was beautifully plated and delicious.
