Exceptional Moroccan!
All the offerings were exceptionally good. and true to Moroccan cuisine. B'stilla was a delicate phyllo pastry packet, filled substanially with flavorful chicken and wonderful goodies, moist, as it was definitely freshly baked, with that delightful and addictive hint of cinnamon. The Khizo Charmoulat (carrots sauteed with cumin and lemon but sans the harissa to accomodate the grand kids) was delicious as a starter, also a sauteed eggplant with pita (wasn't on the menu but offered when I asked ) The Chicken Tagine with olives was the main and equally delicious. We ordered 3 mains for the 6 of us and while we were full, there wasn't a leftover. Really impressed with this restaurant and we'll definitely be dining in when that becomes available.

I am not a fan of Morroccan food but we went there because we had a theater show nearby and because the reviews were good. This place did not disappoint. The food was absolutely exquisite and the service was fast and friendly. Every dish was superb. Highly recommend.

We were up in San Francisco visiting dear friends who are Foodies & they recommended going to Khamsa - for Moroccan Food. Delightful authentic restaurant with touches of authentic decor in a Update setting. Food was delicious and authentically presented. Pleasant and attentive staff. Youโll enjoy!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious! Try the lemonade!
I absolutely loved the food! I had the Tanjia which was very similar to lamb stew. We also ordered the sweet potatoes which were also yummy! The lemonade is a very unique recipe. I thought is was delicious! I suggest that you make reservations. The place is extremely well decorated and has a lovely ambiance. But, itโs a bit small. So, thereโs not a lot of space if you have to wait for a table. The cramped space is the only reason that I didnโt give it five stars.

A journey to Marrakech in San Francisco

Run and go there
Yum! Yum! Yum! I felt like I was back in Marrakech!
My friends had organised a birthday dinner for me at Khamsa since they know how much I loved the food when I was in Morocco! This place was seriously awesome. We had shared plates for starters and main (oh and the amazing baclava for dessert!). The food was just like I remembered in Casablanca and Marrakech. If I hadn't been flying out for Australia straight from the dinner, I would have already gone back! DE-LI-CIOUS!

Community tables, wonderful dishes to share, international wine list, and, spot-on service with a smile. Sweet and savory, it's a party in your mouth. Bright industrial decor, but the food and good company can take you a world away.

Khamsa has a great eggplant salad, which sadly wasnโt made anymore.
In its place, we had a smoked eggplant dip with pita bread.
As main dish we chose duck tajine and a lamb dish with dates. The tajine was bland; the lamb much tastier. No side dish came with the meat, but we were offered more bread.
The Moroccan rose wine was fruity, very good.
We chose not to have dessert as there were only 2 choices, both Middle Eastern.
All in all: a good meal, slightly overpriced however.
The decor is wonderful, contemporary with just enough Moroccan style.
