The place is so nicely done.
We went on the weekend for lunch and did not have to wait, although we did not have a reservation. Service was quick. We got the spanakopita and it was great. Apart from that rest of the food we had was just okay. Briam was sautéed vegetables and it was pretty bland and even their fava dip. But sure if it's a good spot for vegetarians.
Be the first to ReplyThe host at this place needs to get over himself.
Last Friday was perhaps a particularly busy night because it was the first nice day this winter, and I tried to put my name down for a group of friends and myself. I walked in and none of the three people by the door acknowledged me and finally when I got to the host he refused to put me down unless we committed to waiting 2 hours (!!). I asked him to put my name down just to hold my place while I confirmed with my friends. When I came back in a few min later to tell him that we weren't going to stay after all, I saw that he hadn't actually written my name and I made a joke about it and he got all passive aggressive that I was supposed to come and tell him. Excuse me that's what I came back in to do?? And there were now several names after where I would've been so would we then have had to wait 3 hours if we had decided to stay??I've been here many times before and the food is good, not the best, but it's inexpensive and fun and usually the service/host are not unpleasant like this. I won't be back in a hurry.

Walk-ins only at this restaurant without identifiable signage and an auxiliary seating area across the street. Considering the restaurant space consists of conjoined nooks and crannies, most of the tables are surprisingly isolated and not cramped. For the price, you've got to be kidding me. Whole fish and lamb chops under $30 each. I lived in Greektown in Chicago for years and though as a purely Greek restaurant Kiki's has a few peers there, it has to be the most memorable. Considering you can get a liter of wine for $26 I'd suggest that this is the best grungy Greek restaurant in the world. Only negative for us was that the baklava was old and almost stale.

Satisfactory Greek food whose dishes are nothing to write home about, however has one of the strongest dating atmospheres in the city. The octopus was easily their best dish. $18 a dish. 3.75/5 stars as dinner spot.

If you're expecting food here that will blow you out of the water, this is not the place. The hype of this place on social media might make you think otherwise; however, that being said, the food is GREAT and SO cheap! The atmosphere and service are also great. This is a perfect spot for a quick, good, consistent, and authentic meal.
Be the first to ReplyFood is amazing and service is great.
Ask for Alivia. If you're older, like me, get there early, fills up fast.
Be the first to ReplyI have been to Kiki's twice, the first time was great.
Atmosphere, food, service were all solid. As for the second visit, I was very disappointed. We were seated in the secondary area and felt just as much, secondary. It took 20 minutes for our waiter to even address us. The food was average, unfortunately nothing to write home about. One of the apps we ordered never came. When it came time for the bill, we had been clearly done eating for almost 30 minutes before I had to grab the waiter to ask for the bill - the bill that was wrong, with additional items we never ordered. The waiter seemed much more occupied by all the pickup/delivery orders. On top of it all, the room was freezing, felt as though heat was off while it was snowing outside. Would be tough to choose to return here rather than try other new places.

Kiki's is one of my absolute favorites here! The food is delicious, the servers are very prompt and they want to make sure everything's right. Typically this place is very busy and can get up to a 3 hour wait time so plan ahead cause they don't take reservations!
Be the first to ReplyKiki's is a real treat.
Everything here is fresh and delicious. My personal favorite dishes are their horiatiki salad, lamb chops, tzatziki, & French fries. It's a really fun vibe, and a great place to come with a group of friends to share a couple of dishes.
Be the first to ReplyLocation, fast service and great food.
Everything I look for in a restaurant. Will go back.

First off I Love their french fries - perfectly seasoned, crisp, just everything you'd want from hand cut fries. And the homemade mustard sauce is just right! My Dakos salad was exactly what I wanted. Filling and light. There's barley rusk in there, not just veggies and cheese. The seasoning is awesome. Octopus isn't the best I've had but it was pretty damn good and went well with my salad. Perfect lunch! Just wish they weren't so crowded for dinner, it's impossible to get a table. I always give up and go elsewhere nearby.

The ambiance at Kiki's is so cute, especially during the warmer months when the seating flows out onto the streets. The orange wine is phenomenal. I couldn't try the house because they were out. The food is VERY spiced. Much oregano. It ended up making me sick and I haven't been able to eat oregano since. Throwing up lamb chops might have been the single worst experience of my whole life. Still, I remember enjoying it at the restaurant. Come expecting leftovers, because the portions are decent and the food is very rich.
Be the first to ReplyFive stars for food.
Two stars for service. Always good food but tonight our service was terrible. Knowing how popular the place is, we showed up early for dinner at 6:30. We ordered a bottle of wine - got two glasses for the table although we were three people. We ordered three apps , a salad and the mixed grill. We specifically asked that the apps be served first, then the salad and the main. Everything arrived within five minutes of each other, leaving us feel as if we were being rushed out before we had barely started.... so we ordered a second bottle of wine. I have worked in restaurants so I understand the need to turn tables but dumping all the food in a hurried manner does not lead to a pleasant dining experience for your customers.I've had better service in places like Kyrgyzstan where hospitality is valued. :-)

Super tasty and affordable authentic Greek food with trendy vibes on a fun block in Les/Chinatown. I love the Spanakopita, the Avgo-Lemono soup, and the wines are really good.

The manager of this establishment is aggressive, intimidating, and patronizing. The staff are usually kind, but the Australian manager is a power hungry a-hole.

*3.5 starWe came at 5:45 pm on a Saturday and there was no wait. We started with a half carafe of white wine which was acceptable for a house wine and had a nice fruity floral flavor. As for food I would rate it above average.Octopus (4/5): the octopus was tender and had a nice lemon olive oil sauce.Saganaki (5/5): this had a nice phyllo crust with honey and sesame seeds and was very unique.Moussaka (5/5): this was cooked with baking spices and reminded me of a nice creamy bechamel lasagna without the pasta. It has a layer of mashed potatoes on the top and came out nice and hot. Branzino (3/5): this was an average fish that was cooked properly but it had a ton of bones and wasn't filling. It comes with a side of either rice with spinach or lemon potatoes. I opted for the lemon potatoes which had a creamy sauce.
Be the first to ReplyBest moussaka I've ever had.
Hands down. GET IT. Also the fried cheese appetizer. Those two things blew everything away.

5 hours for a table on Friday night for a group of 4. Got there at 7:30 PM and didn't end up sitting down past 10 PM.AND YET the food was incredible so we really can't complain. Granted since I had 4 drinks at 3 bars to soak up the time before dinner I definitely had the drunchies so that might've also helped Kiki's case.Great hospitality and high quality mediterranean food. I'll be back for sure!

Wow! This place was amazing- it reminded me of being in Greece! The food is authentic and everything is so good! It's a little hole in the wall with such character but so worth the visit. I do suggest getting here as soon as they open because they don't take the reservations and the wait can fill up quickly. To start we ordered the tzatziki, , taramosalata and Greek Salad. All the dips came with pita and bread and everything was so delicious! The eggplant dip was probably my favorite thing I had here it is so good I definitely recommend ordering! To continue, we had spanakopita, grilled octopus and bifteki, everything was delicious. The spanakopita was beautifully crispy and filled with amazing flavors, grilled octopus was prepared perfectly and the bifteki was AMAZING, cooked to perfection and filled with flavor! When here I definitely recommend not missing out on the bifteki, spanakopita and the melitzanosalata (eggplant). This place is a staple of LES do not miss out on coming here!

It is so easy to miss this fantastic Greek restaurant when you walk by. It's on Division Street, which is one of the most hidden side streets in Chinatown, and the storefront shows Chinese characters. But if you do a Google search for "best Greek food in NYC" you will most certainly come upon Kiki's. Since it was our first time, we got the most quintessential (basic) dishes that come to mind when you think of Greek food. Everything we had was fantastic, and I would definitely come back again and again.-- Fava bean dip (comes with pita and toasted bread)-- Saganaki-- Spanakopita-- Grilled octopus-- MoussakaThe standouts were the Moussaka and Spanakopita, though everything was delicious. The house white wine was surprisingly tasty. It had an interesting floral aroma. Love the rustic, down-to-earth vibe of this restaurant. There's a certain fusion-y charm to seeing Greek food served on Chinese melamine plates.Service was speedy. They don't take reservations but they have a few communal tables for bigger parties. We got here around 6:30 on a Wednesday and were seated immediately, which was a nice surprise considering how popular this place is. It wasn't until I went to use the bathroom that I saw that an entire back room was packed with diners.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot perfect for a date or meeting friends.
Everything on the menu is really good. Below is a combination of photos of different foods we've had.
Be the first to ReplyMy son wanted to grab lunch for his birthday.
Dinner was time with his friends but I'll rant about that another time. One text message of location and time. He said, don't be late it's a popular spot. I look at the pic is a store or restaurant I'm confused. Jersey to LES I find parking. Walk inside I see 4 people and a bartender. Not my son. Walk back outside, must be the wrong place. A pass byer tells me this is the spot. Walked in the side door, it looks small from the outside. Inside there two bars And three dining areas. He was waiting and eating Greek fries at the bar near outdoor seating. We're immediately sat and I'm impressed by the amount of food selections. Two cooks and small kitchen. What to order and I'm thinking it's gonna be awhile. Our order filled the entire table!! No waiting!! Large shareable portions of Maroulosalata Salad, Fried Calamari, Zucchini Chips, bread, grilled loukaniko, strapadsada, feta and kalmata olives. My favorite was the salad. I've never seen this on a menu before, now I'm looking for one near me. It's refreshing and flavorful. The food and the service were on point. I see why eats here and recommends it. Oh for the birthday, they stuck a candle in the baklava just has fast as the candle was blown out, the baklava was gone! POV: get there early!! Dinner was packed!
