Glad that I read the reviews first before eating at this
Glad that I read the reviews first before eating at this place! First Red Flag; "No Free Refills," WHY NOT, and the staff doesn't tell the customer that. Second, and Final Red Flag; "20% Automatic Gratuity For Large Party (Part of 2)," WHY! Yelp is the best place ever to find these things out before visiting a restaurant; I always check first before my visit - "Thanks Again Yelp!" And No, I am not affiliated in any way with Yelp I'm just appreciative.
Be the first to ReplyVery quiet restaurant, very nice setup.
Ordered the pan seared dumplings for an app, they were good. For the entrees I had the bulgogi ramen... it was so good and medium spicy. Hubby had the short ribs which came with white rice. It was very flavorful. Everything was so good. Definitely going back!

We haven't had Korean BBQ since we moved here and we have found a gem. The food was delicious. Easily one of my all time favorites since moving here. I had the Bulgogi and my wife and daughter shared the Kalbi. Both were absolutely amazing, full of flavor, and the icing on the cake was the Kalbi was boneless. The service was efficient and hospitable. If you have kids, and they like to color, they will LOVE this place. They have a whole cabinet full of popular characters to choose from. They also had a wall of fame for their aspirating artists. Looking forward to our next visit!
Be the first to ReplyIf I could, I would give Kim's bbq 10 stars.
We have been several times and our experiences are exceeded each time. We always feel welcome and everyone is helpful to guide our menu selections. When we are fortunate enough to have Mrs Kim at our table, the evening is a special occasion. Thank you!

The food is very tasty but the portions are small and the food is overpriced, even before the inflation after the pandemic.

EEP! They got expensive!Even though I don't live in Florida, I've been to Kim's many times. I've always said that they had good food and lots of it. I feel like I'd have noticed that Galbisal was $34.99 and Bulgogi was $24.99 before. I felt a bad, because I picked the restaurant, but I wasn't the one paying for the meal. I still love the open interior that can be sectioned off for groups. I like the cute coloring pages. I love that Mama Kim came to visit our table. I felt like we could have a conversation at the table.I shall have to consider if I will return in the future. I made homemade Japchae for the couple that treated me to dinner as a thank you.

Ordered the sundubu jjigae this time with Tteok-bokki extra spicy of course! Plus the japchae. Online when I placed the order it said the jjigae came with veggies but it didn't have any veggies when I got it. Customer service was excellent as usual. May just be an issue with online ordered or error on the menu. It was my first time ordering the Jjigae from here so not sure how it's normally made. Either way it was delicious and i ordered it extra spicy. It wasnt too spicy. Next time ill ask for extra chili on side. Still one of my favorite korean spots. I'm hoping one day they'll add even more traditional Korean dishes. Either way everything I've tried I loved. This time the Tteok-bokki was way too sugary and I could even see all the sugar granules added to it so not as good this time for the sauce but I love rice cakes which they make bigger now. Id still get it again as that's never been an issue before with the sauce. Tteobokki is always 5 out of 5. This time I skipped the sauce because it was too sweet. The owner Kim is great too!
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and i LOVEEEE this place ! Mrs .
Kim can cooookkkkk!!!! We have been here almost every other week . We have tried the Sundubu jjigae which is a Spicy soft tofu soup. The best soup served in a claypot rice bowl , comes out super steamyyyy ! Its spicy and sour and the tofu just melts in your mouth . We did try the seafood in it but i would pass on adding the seafood since its a really small amount for an upcharge .We also tried the Yukjaejang, a spicy soup beef with vegetables which is also tasty . More of a tomato base spicy soup with glass noodles ! Our fav is still the spicy tofu soup ! Now the Galbisal, the marinated boneless beef is so freaking delicious. We love the char taste served on an iron cast dish ! Lots of flavor and comes out steamy hot and sizzling! We also had the Go deung eo gui which is whole mackeral , and we cant get enough ! Reminds us of our childhood eating with our asian grandparents when we was young. The Bulgogi, which is grilled beef and onions is also fire !!! More sweet and full of flavor as well ! It comes all with pickled side dishes ! Yes this korean spot is more on the expensive side , but the flavor ,freshness , and authenticity keeps us coming back . Thank you Mrs. Kim and staff !
Be the first to ReplyHave been wanting korean for some time.

One of my favorite places on the island. The kimchi is outstanding. BBQ is perfectly smoked. Tasty x 10 . We love this place.

Located at the end of a strip mall off San Jose, this is a Korean place not to skip! The beef bulgogi and bibimbap are delicious with a sweet and savory sauce. The highlight is all of the side dishes included with the entree. A whole lot of pickled goodness. Don't forget to say hi to Mama Kim as she makes her way around!
Be the first to ReplyThe food here is so good.
Owner makes you feel like family. We have tried a wide variety of dishes here and they are always good!

It would've been nice if this restaurant updated their hours because of Covid versus sticking it on the front door. I drove over an hour to try this place out. Unfortunately, I'm not going to come back again.
Be the first to ReplyI saw a picture posted recently of someone who ordered
I saw a picture posted recently of someone who ordered ddeobokki and it was fried correctly based on picture. The egg was again sunny side up and very raw like last time. Definitely not what was pictured by person. Definitely going to pass for that with ddeobokki from now on. Maybe it depends on the chef? Either way a fried egg is more cooked. Two times in a row the egg white was completely raw just barely cooked which was disappointing. Still not a boiled egg either. I just tossed the egg in the trash. Ddeobokki was still delicious without it.
Be the first to ReplyWe recently went to Kim's Korean BBQ for a birthday dinner
We recently went to Kim's Korean BBQ for a birthday dinner and it was fantastic. Unlike traditional Korean BBQ places I've been Kim's doesn't have a cook at your table option, but that's ok; the do a damn good job cooking for you. We had a pho dish and the Bibimbap which were very delicious. The service was super great! Could not have asked for any better service than what we received from our server and the manager/owner.
Be the first to ReplyAdditional note I forgot to add.
The Ddeobokki doesn't include a boiled egg as stated on the menu or as shown in the pictures on the menu they give out in restaurant and ones shown online. It's a fried sunny side up egg which is misleading not a boiled. They should remove picture and change description if that's how they're going to serve it. I don't like the after taste of sunny side up eggs or the thick mushy raw egg white. 1 out of 5 stars for that.
Be the first to ReplyGiving this place one star is already giving it way too
Giving this place one star is already giving it way too much credit. To the people that say this is the best kbbq they've had, clearly never had actual Korean BBQ. I've been to kbbq several times and I've never paid as much as I did at this place not to mention it was way too little food for the amount I had to pay, it was $70 for two people. I expected to walk out stuffed, little did I know we had to go somewhere else to actually feel satisfied. First Korean BBQ place I've ever been to that requires you to order more to grill your own food. A fee for unfinished food is standard practice but not whatever this place is. Also the pork belly they gave us wasn't marinated, FROZEN, and could summed up to thick cut bacon for $30. The beef however was good. I would've been willing to give them more credit if they didn't give us only two pieces. Again $30. Idk what world these people live in but I've been to KBBQ places on the west coast that charge half of what I paid here and serve a massive menu of fresh, quality meat. The owner and staff should be ashamed to be apart of this highway robbery. TLDR: Run while you can!

Great Korean food! Their menu is easy to understand for someone who has never had Korean food and the owner is always onsite. Great place!

Food is good but unorganized and unprofessional. Money hungry
Be the first to ReplyNow don't get me wrong Kim's is probably one of the best
Now don't get me wrong Kim's is probably one of the best Korean food I have had, but it is not worth the sour face of the owner you have to deal with. I have come to this restaurant multiple times and the service is okay, you feel uncomfortable with the owner on asking for even Togo boxes they argue with you . I had 4 entrée and 1 soup and they would not give me a box for each entrée.Then I tried to ask for more sides and they charged me 10$ even though they stated each entree comes with 6 mini plates . I will never come here again and recommend the owner to learn to appreciate the people supporting her business, becuase without us you wouldn't have one.

Annyeonghaseyo! () Hello in Korean Gotta know how to say the most known greeting at least after watching a variety of K-Drama, K-Horror and other K shows on Netflix during the Pandemic, but nope I'm good with the K-POP lolChecked in and had lunch at Kim's Korean BBQ last Saturday at 9825 San Jose Blvd. Suite #1 and there are lots of international good eats next to each other on this plaza. Choose carefully friends. We did not have to wait to be seated. The ambience looks pretty good, the staff was very welcoming and yes, there was plenty of parking.Usually I order a Hite or any Korean beer, but I was outta luck and had to settle for a Terra- an Australian Beer, which was ok as I never tried it before anyway. For the appetizer we ordered Dbeobokki ($11.99) Spicy rice cakes and boiled egg with fish cakes in a Spicy red sauce, it was very tasty and filling, the hotness level was I would say at an easy 8.Galbisal was our main entree ($30.99) Marinated BBQ beef boneless short ribs with onions and can be optionally grilled at the table. It was so delicious and we can really taste the quality meat as how it was marinated over time, although we thought that it was a little short on the serving, or maybe I was just too hungry (good thing those fish sticks were a bit heavy on the tummy)We were served Kimchi Rice Mmm..mmm plus the usual small square dishes (Banchan) of Green Bean, Dry Squid,Yellow/Red Radish, all eaten up yup, didn't skip the Brocolli.Check out the awesome stuff they have at the front too, like the Wi-Fi toothpick dispenser, as I have never seen one before and other items of interest in popular culture, Squid Game apparel and more!We will definitely be back and try other authentic Korean dishes from Kim's Korean BBQ, and Gamsa Haeyo (Thank you) - that's way easier and shorter than saying their Hello!
