Honestly, this place is probably a 3.
5 stars for me. The location is super convenient for me but I was sadly underwhelmed with my food and the prices were far higher than I think they should have been. My friend and I ordered the chicken sandwich, rolled noodles, the fresh roll, and the Thai tea slushee. The chicken sandwich was great! I loved the flavors. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I would have put less of the other fillings as they starting falling out after my first bite but flavors were spot on. The rolled noodles were okay but a little confusing. I think the dipping sauce that it came with clashed with the flavors from the noodles. Also, it was inconsistently seasoned. The tofu in my dish was a little saltier than I would like while the rolled noodles needed a little more salt. The fresh rolls were so cold! They definitely pre-rolled and put them in the fridge. They were also loosely wrapped with the ends open so it was hard to keep the filling inside. I did like the peanut dipping sauce. The Thai tea was definitely tasty and sweet. I would go back for that.

Decided to check it out ordered 3 dishes they were good. I also ordered a to go for my girl friend because she wasn't feeling well. I really liked the 2nd location ! Overall great experience and a great food for the dog patch !!!
Be the first to ReplyNice casual dining in a quiet neighborhood.
Staff is pleasant and super quick in responding to the orders you submit on their app.5/5 for the chicken sandwich3/5 for Khao soi. Unique dish and worth a try but not my favorite2/5 for Yaowaraj noodles. I think I had higher hopes for this dish but it was way too salty and the ingredients sort of played separately and didn't blend as a dish
Be the first to ReplyNice outdoor seating.
Good safety measures + protocols in place w/Covid (order scanning QR code, pay online). Very limited menu with not many options. VERY OVERPRICED. Ex. $17 for a chicken sandwich w/NO sides. Yikes. Not too impressed. Not rushing to return until more options + better prices.
Be the first to Replythey don't have indoor seating, but the outdoor dining
they don't have indoor seating, but the outdoor dining setting is absolutely adorable. staff were all super nice. the food..was very mediocre. the papaya salad was delicious but the other two dishes were meh. although i was pleasantly surprised with how spicy the papaya salad and curry dish were. overall, cute place but underwhelming food.
Be the first to ReplyYUCK! the poached chicken supplement on the crunchy chicken
YUCK! the poached chicken supplement on the crunchy chicken salad is disgusting. It is poached in fish oil and tastes like old cat food. the supplement is very expensive - $6 for six thumbprint size pieces of chicken (maybe 1 oz, maybe less) DO NOT GET THE CHICKEN! to the restaurant - people want fresh food - not old food.
Be the first to ReplyTruly reminded me so much of eating in Thailand.
The food was incredible, drinks were tasty and service was fantastic. Drinks: Thai tea slushy - nice balanced sweet, slushy was slightly icy but overall great cooling beverage to counteract the spicy foodTropical Vermouth Slushy - so good sweet and tart from the passion fruit and creamy from the coconut. Drink is rich but so worth itFood: Nom Tok Beans - was such a unique and surprising dish, imagine larb flavors but with crunchy fried beans with a hint of a creamy interior definitely order this for the table Som Tom Papaya Salad - salty, tart - crunchy and refreshing with a bit of heat. This is heavy on the fish sauce and fermented seafood flavor. Stick Rice - standard stick Rice went well with both the beans and saladKhao Soi with tofu - so good, rich creamy curry based broth loaded with picked mustard greens and crunchy fried noodles, really satisfying and perfect for a cool evening. Seating was all outdoor with heat lamps doted around. No wait on a Thursday at 6pm. Ordering was done at the table through toast. I'd recommend pacing and ordering as you finish a dish because food comes out as ready and they were really quick. Overall menu is on the small side but everything we had was impeccable so I'd definitely come back to try the rest

Highlights- It's back! I've been wanting to try this restaurant when they first opened, then COVID came around and they had a closed sign for a while. Walked by today and they are opened again!- Outdoor patio seating only that is dog friendly. Love that they are tucked away in the neighborhood, so it's quiet without many people walking by. Tables had "Sanitized" signs on them. - QR code to scan to order, pay, and the waiter brings out water/food right to your table. - Khao soi: I love this dish and was excited they served this. It packed a lot of heat, loved the pickled mustard greens, tender chicken pieces, and crispy noodles, and fresh shallot slices. - Crispy chicken sandwich: Fresh cucumbers, crispy juicy chicken, sirarcha aioli sauce, fresh lettuce, and brioche bun. Delicious!Tip: Menu is limited, but quality food offerings. They also had thai tea slushies that many other patrons got and coconut popsicles. Will need to come back to try it!

(For delivery)Long time customer of Kin Khao back at Parc 55. I understand that mastering delivery can be challenging for restaurants, but the latest order I had was so unsatisfactory that I was shocked that it came from one of my favorite spots. We ordered the Yaowaraj noodles and fresh spring rolls. The chicken was offensively dry, so was the wrapper of the spring rolls. I actually couldn't finish the food. The disappointment stung more knowing that we paid $21 per serving of the noodles -- used to be more reasonably priced. I guess that's the delivery markup, though.Hoping this was a(n expensive) fluke. I'll stick to dining in the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a pretty good spot! I have tried the chicken
This is a pretty good spot! I have tried the chicken sandwich and the dog and both were great! I live nearby and this is the closest spot to me so I'm glad its a good one. I do think its a little overpriced for the size of the meal but maybe thats just an out of towner speaking as I'm not really used to SF prices yet. Friendly staff and quick and immediate service, I will definitely be back!
