Almost forgot to leave my review visit Kitchen cocktail on
Almost forgot to leave my review visit Kitchen cocktail on Saturday, July 20 for a birthday celebration of my little cousins get their around 745 8 o'clock the reservations was for 830 still didn't get seated until about nine 930 10 o'clock while waiting upstairs at the bar in the front by the window saw a mouse run past then the waitress come over to us to tell us that we had to take a table upstairs, which we didn't want to do so we end up going downstairs the manager had to give us a seat in guess what it is. They VIP section until our table was ready after ordering the food. The food was very salty. The service wasn't so great. I do not recommend anyone visit this place. Also upon arriving they had some young ladies outside protesting because they were wrongly fired about money that they were owed.

The food had no flavor except for the shrimp on the "dream eggs", those eggs were nightmare. The eggs tasted like they were boiled days ago. The food was overly priced for small portions of food. It was extremely loud with the music playing through out the establishment. The women's bathroom was terrible! Only one faucet worked and the stall I went into the flushing plate on the wall was broken. My daughter and nieces food was brought to our table but it was for another table. My daughter had the exact order of someone else another table. When then brought it to the table we assumed it was her order. My niece was like this isn't my order. They took the plate off the table and took it to the right table. Thank goodness it wasn't touched. The sprite was flat and the service was subpar. It was too many people and not enough staff to accommodate large parties. The manager came to the table and said our time was up as they needed the table for other patrons and that it was a time limit on the tables. We waited so long for our meals and to be rushed out was unacceptable. Lastly, I asked if they validated parking, the waitress said yes go to the customer service desk. I went there and was told to get validation at the valet. I went to the valet and was told we don't validate. Our total bill paid on our less than stellar visit was $756 for 10 people was crazy.
The food and drinks were amazing.
Our server Daryl was great had great suggestions on the menu. We will definitely be back.

My lady and her friend had the braided short ribs with mash/ vegetables. She loved the dish. I ordered the salmon bites, they are a must seasoned to perfection and fried perfect. I also had the mash with a la cart honey hot catfish and that shit was amazing. Our waiting was honest and very informative. The vibes were fun they played music and the drinks were strong. I definitely recommend dining here.

Girl, we rolled into this fine establishment looking like beyond basic tourists after realizing we would not have time to go back to our hotel and change out of our take-me-out-to-the-ballgame clothes AND feed the kids before our evening tour. Everyone else was dressed exquisitely and we were equally welcomed with open arms and charm. The kids loved the waffles (a main reason we picked the restaurant) and our meal of hot fried chicken and fried green tomatoes + drinks was perfect. The waiter and the kitchen staff were also super generous when delirious me didn't realize the fried green tomatoes had a shrimp topper (to which I'm allergic) and brought me a new shrimp-free dish without charge. The meal was more than we would usually pay if dining out with kids, but it was worth it and our picky eaters were well satisfied - so much so that they wanted to go back the next day. We didn't have time to do that, but we would come again for sure (perhaps in our Sunday best).

Service was good but the prices were ridiculous for average food. Not a spot i would go for lunch.
mind blown.
First off the ambiance is beautiful. I love the decor of the restaurant. We had a reservation but we came alil too late but we were still accommodated quickly. only downfall is the music loud ash. We had to yell every conversation. And i was left with little to no voice. I didnt get a picture of the cinnamon waffles but they were giving cinnabon and it melted in my damn mouth mmmmm. The chicken fried chicken was seasoned to perfection and the gravy was delicious. The drinks were drinkin. I left cross eyed. I live in GA but would solely book a flight just to eat here again. Good job! I approve
Excellent Black-owned Restaurant
We arrived early, so had to wait a bit to be seated. Once we were, it was great! I ordered the deviled eggs with blackened shrimp, crab cake (so much crab!) and waffles. It all came out quickly, was well seasoned and not salty. My drink (Black Magic) was tasty too. Raphael was our server, he was attentive and kept us updated on the status of what we ordered. I'd definitely come back!
My recent visit to Kitchen & Cocktails was an absolute
My recent visit to Kitchen & Cocktails was an absolute delight, an experience so rich and satisfying that it beckons a detailed recount. From the moment I stepped into the chic, vibrantly designed space, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, with a lively buzz that suggested a favorite spot among locals and visitors alike. Starting with the cocktails, the mixologists at Kitchen & Cocktails exhibited true artistry. I indulged in a signature cocktail that was a masterful blend of flavors, striking a harmonious balance between sweet, sour, and bitter, with a hint of botanicals to elevate the experience. It wasn't just a drink but a storytelling session in each sip, encapsulating the essence of the establishment's commitment to unique, memorable concoctions. The appetizer set the stage for what was to come; a delectable crab cake, lightly crisped on the outside while succulent and flavorful inside, sitting atop a bed of delicately dressed greens. The crab was the star, fresh and tender, perfectly seasoned to enhance its natural flavors without overwhelming them. Moving on to the main course, I was torn between the myriad of enticing options but finally settled on a recommendation from our exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable server: the braised short ribs. This dish was a revelation, with meat so tender it parted with the mere suggestion of a fork, paired with a rich, velvety sauce that spoke of hours of careful, loving preparation. Accompanied by a side of perfectly roasted vegetables and smooth, creamy mashed potatoes, each bite was a comforting embrace of flavors and textures. Not to be overlooked, the dessert was a triumphant finale to an already impressive meal. The chocolate lava cake, with its molten center flowing like culinary gold, was paired with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, creating a contrast that was both bold and divine. The service at Kitchen & Cocktails was impeccable throughout the evening, with staff members who were not only efficient but genuinely passionate about ensuring a fantastic dining experience. Their recommendations were spot-on, reflecting a deep understanding of the menu and a desire to cater to our dining preferences. Kitchen & Cocktails is not just a restaurant; it's a destination, offering a symphony of flavors, an atmosphere of warm conviviality, and service that's second to none. It's a place where each visit promises not just a meal, but an experience to be savored and remembered.
All in all, this was a good dining experience.
The atmosphere was moderately loud, but not too distracting. Everyone was attentive and the service was great. Our waitress was very accommodating and offered her faves off the menu. Mac and cheese, yum. Candied yams, another yum. Collard greens, super yum. The catfish was fried to perfection. I would definitely visit again to sample more from the menu. Be prepared to spend $$$
*sigh* I've made many many attempts and given grace and
*sigh* I've made many many attempts and given grace and still it didn't meet my expectations. My friend decided to have his birthday dinner here and he had a part of about 15 or 16. We had to wait until majority of the party was present to be seated and we waited in the downstairs area so we were not standing in the way. We were seated and everything started off well. There were two waiters for our table I believe or maybe she just spilt the table 8 and 8 so it was easier to take the orders. I ordered everything again once but J started with the black magic drink. The drink came pretty fast, but let me tell you how SWEET this drink was. It felt like diabetes in a cup. You couldn't taste the gin, but if they added actual gin to the juice I had it would've been great. Others said their drink was either too sweet or it was decent. I also ordered the deviled eggs with blackened shrimp and the fried catfish. The waiter came back and asked what my door was to be sure she had it in the system correctly. My deviled eggs came fast and I was SHOCKED, I just knew they were working for a great review from me. Catfish came and it was fried very well and it wasn't too breaded at alll, it was quite delicious. It was PACKED on this Saturday night, but the DJ was bumping all type of tunes. It was a vibe. We took pictures all around because the ambiance is always nice here. It was VERY loud though so just keep that in mind, but it didn't bother me. People enjoyed their food some things were returned or some people didn't get what they asked for. Now the moment we are all waiting for....the check! We received the check and my friend's sister was reviewing what we all got. We were planning to spilt the check and most of us brought cash so we wouldn't have to deal with any issues. The check however was I correct and some of the meals and drinks were not removed. We asked for it to be removed but the waiter said, "the table was already cleared, so she can't take our word that we didn't order the items that should be removed". I wish this made sense, but it didn't. We had a manager get involved to remove the items and update our check. Resolving this took about 30 mins or so. We just sat there waiting while they figure out what the issue was. After having the explain this to a few more people we finally got an updated check and paid the bill. They decided to give us all a slushy shot for the inconvenience. At this time half of us were over it, I'm sorry, but this was enough for me not to return. I didn't have a great experience the first time I tried this restaurant and then this was the icing on the cake. I truly won't be returning, the service we received regarding the check was not handled professionally at all.
I usually try to stay clear of Tik Tok/IG restaurants and
I usually try to stay clear of Tik Tok/IG restaurants and this one proves why. I couldn't picture this place but once I saw it's where Toro Toro used to be, I understand how they had space for a club lounge downstairs. In terms of esthetics, it hits the mark for photographable social media places complete with a flowered wall. I believe they have valet parking but I found parking on the street. Given the upscale tone the restaurant had been promoting, I thought we might be a tad underdressed in regular knit tops/sweaters and jeans but once inside I saw we were overdressed compared to some. I saw slinky dresses, hoodies and boots, athletic wear and everything in between including an entire bare bottom since this girl's skirt didn't cover it. We sat at the bar and ordered food and drinks. The fish I ordered tasted good but was overpriced and came with plastic cutlery although I was told by staff this was "fine dining". I was also encouraged by staff to refrain from, literally, shimmying my shoulders in my seat because dancing was not aloud in the "fine dining" restaurant although Sexxy Red was playing. The reason this review is getting 2 stars is because of our bartender, Donesha. She was AMAZING and the only reason I'd ever return. Her drinks saved the day. She kept us engaged and was highly attentive although the bar was packed. Her professionalism made up for the otherwise lackluster experience. If I ever go back, she'd better be at work.
Overall rating of 2.
5. Food: score of 3 out of 5. The food was good but it wasn't good enough to leave a memory. It was well seasoned. I just feel like it wasn't anything to leave you wanting more or to crave going back to K&K. The drinks were overpriced for what was received. They were good though. I just feel like you can get the same amount of alcohol for less elsewhere. Service: 1.5 out of 5. We were seated right away. However we barely saw the waitress. There were significant periods of time in which we wouldn't see her and often wondered when she would be back to take an order or if we needed something. Ambiance: too many flower walls. To be frank, I'm over the flower wall scene. The type of music played was great, however, it was extremely loud for dinner spot and had to talk loudly to have any type of conversation with the person I was with. Loved the valet parking option.

Come with me to @kitchenkocktailsusa for Southern Comfort Food for delicious bites and cocktails! They have mixology classes which is a fun, great activity on how to make drinks and make friends! This spot is perfect for date, family, or gals night!

This was a great brunch spot on a Sunday, we were celebrating our friends bday! The drinks were flowing and the food was banging! There was a live DJ and we danced and had a great time. There was 2 floors we were seated on lower level and the bartender was also our server she took great care of us, we will definitely be going back.

This place is not for dates!!!! We were sat downstairs and the dj is playing the music like it's the club... people are trying to have conversations and can't hear each other. We had to tell the waiter to lower the music down so we can hear each other. The food was a little salty for me but it was good. I have the two stars for the great service and fast drinks. I did come with my girls for brunch and had a good time upstairs music still too loud but we got the frozen margaritas and was amazing for the prize and size.
I wish i could have given this place more than 3 stars but
I wish i could have given this place more than 3 stars but alas, I have to be completely honest. I came to the DC location with some pre-conceived notions based on my experience in Dallas (WAY TO SALTY TO BE EDIBLE). Came here on a Saturday night as part of a girl's weekend from out of town. Thankfully there was plenty of street parking so we didnt have to walk too far. Came in and waited a few minutes to be seated at our table. My girlfriend reserved a special table and had to pay extra for that table but it wasnt the table they sat us at. They said they would credit her back for the table. Service - Our waitress was attentive as the place was quite busy due to it being a Saturday night. She was courteous and friendly. Ambiance- this is quite big with a waiting area, bar area and different seating area. There is a downstairs but not sure what that looks like. Theres of course beautiful red flowers wall down the stairs with great lighting for pictures. There's always a wall by the front to take pics with the restaurant signage. All in all, very nice ambiance for a celebration food- we order salmon bites and fried cauliflower for appetizer. The bites and cauliflower was average, but the accompanied sauce was good. As part of the order, we ordered the following: Jerk lambs and fried - fries were shoestring and good, lamb was a tad dry and overcooked for me short braised ribs- friend really enjoyed them salmon salad was good K&K vegan bowl - two of my friends ordered this dish and was quite concern with a "sour smell", though it may have been vinegar from collard greens, they deemed it inedible and request for it to be returned Pork chops, collard green and mac & cheese - the pork chops were good, but mac & cheeses was tasteless and soupy Drinks - ordered the frozen dussey ($37) and some Patron margaritas ($37) and they were really good. it was a good size PRICE _ OMG!!!!! Not worth the price. Who charges $42 for 4 pieces of small lamb chops and NO SIDES!!!!!!
Best drinks! Food was good and nice atmosphere.
Wait staff was very professional and accommodating even with the restaurant being super busy!
i rarely leave reviews like this but 19 for a chicken thigh
i rarely leave reviews like this but 19 for a chicken thigh and leg absolutely not!! there is no valid excuse anybody can give me to justify that. i never put salt on my food but it had no flavor!! i'm sorry this was not it!!!
Having been to the Dallas location multiple times, I
Having been to the Dallas location multiple times, I expected a better experience. DC K&K is subpar. Customer service and atmosphere is below acceptable. Waitress had order wrong. 2t times Waited 20 mins for a piece of pie. Shrimp and Grits was cold and you have an enormous 20% per person service charge..terrible idea for a Birthday dinner. We will not recommend it.
Worst and Embarrassing Dining Experience
Food is ok, Valet Parking is $25. A friend recommend this place for a group of us as a Friday Dinning Restaurant to take our friend from out of town. We were excited but quickly realized our server was rushing us and demanded to have our orders ready. One friend joined later, we were told she couldnt order food and we could get a second round of drinks as we’ve met our allocated time 😒 They could have given us heads us, she drove all the way there thru traffic, paid to park, only to be denied service as the restaurant has A LITTLE OVER AN HOUR CAP!!!! We were not told about any time limitation on booking nor by the host or the server; aside that we’ve never heard of time cap for dining. Also, there were over 12 tables open… the manger on duty would not budge and insisted we got moved to the bar or came back next time to dine😂😂 HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, WE OR ANYONE WE KNOW, IS GOONG TO BE SPENDING A DIME HERE!!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome
to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
