Had lunch at Koto for the first time in 3-4 years and I am now regretting spending so much time away. Delicious food and great service. Plus an all new interior remodel that is quite chic. If you like sushi and don't want to spend a fortune at one of the new omakase places popping around Tampa, definitely check out Koto.

I came here with my son when I was in Tampa. The food is so yummy and not salty at all, it is cooked to perfection and the way you like it. The hibachi cooks are hilarious and make sure you smile and laugh and have a good time. They do these cool lights and when it's your birthday. My son and I got the steak and shrimp it was so good. This place is definitely worth it.

I went there on a Saturday at 7pm so normal family dinner time and there was a table that was so disrespectful and loud with cussing and screaming while banging on tables the whole time! They were trashed drunk yet the servers kept serving them! It took us 20 mins to get a sprite and that's after asking again for it. As I got the bill they had the audacity to put a 18% gratuity on my bill. When I was paying I complained and they said others did as well and they asked them to be quite but they were more worried about the 8 crazy young men then the other 7 tables in there. The table next to us had to go next door to get ear plugs for their little kids to help them stop crying. I spoke to 3 other groups and they all stated they would never be back! That was terrible and you should be ashamed to let college boys act that way and serve them when you have families in there! That was the worst $140.00 I have ever spent and I will never be back!

Where do I start? Been here several times for hibachi and I've never been disappointed with the food, or the service. The hibachi chefs are always entertaining and seem to really play into the guests they are serving. The portions are huge, I always leave with a take home box.

I truly feel bad for the owners and the staff at this restaurant. The entitled spoiled brats like Liam and his party of 9 drunk friend upset because their reservation was for 8 but their full party was there set the stage for an uncomfortable experience. When you have your explain how the restaurant policy about seating when trying to us the restroom and the silver spoon whiner is getting hostile with me because we were seated before them because we had our entire party. The fun times continued as the drunken college kids kept pouring in and being served free sake which fueled the entitled punks to be even more disrespectful. To the point that I had to call one of them out for talking shit about the 15 year old boy whose birthday it was. They tried coming outside after we left but 2 out of 3 ran back in when Champ tried flexing and I stepped up to his big man on campus sake fueled tough guy routine and he left with his tail between his legs when his blurred vision cleared up and he realized I wasn't to be tried. The service staff was friendly but miso soup was out and they only had the clear soup which is a beef based broth and we had vegans and pescatarian consumers in our party. The plates were in rough shape and the white rice we requested was also under cooked and they were not going to cook anymore The hibachi and sushi rolls were just okay and the hibachi cook we had wasn't that into it and I'm sure that was from dealing with all of these entitled punks all night. The place definitely wasn't the cleanest and we didn't even bother taken the leftovers. Again I feel bad for the owners and the staff as the location is to close to Mommy and Daddies little spoiled brats who act like punks.

First of all, we arrived for dinner at about 9:15pm, knowing they closed at 10pm, and hoping they would still let us do the hibachi for dinner -- and they were so kind and got us set up at our own table. We immediately ordered drinks and a volcano roll to start, and before we knew it, our soup and salad was arriving, followed by drinks and sushi while they got our hibachi prepared. I really enjoyed the sushi roll, it was a fun take on a cali roll with baked scallop and crab on top. We both ordered mojitos and they were so refreshing! The hibachi cook was friendly and entertaining, we had a great time and the portions were HUGE! Everything was cooked perfectly (we did steak, shrimp, and scallops). Prices were very reasonable to the amount of food we got. We so appreciated them staying open a little late for us to finish our dinner, it was an absolutely perfect way to end our trip to Tampa!

Worst Japanese Steakhouse Chef ever.
Terrible all the way around. Salad was from a fridge that had been in there awhile. Soup was luke warm. Ordered Shrimp and Chicken and the portions were VERY small. Ordered extra fried rice got 1/4 of what you normally get and the Chef acted like they wanted to be anywhere but there. This was at 6pm, not at the end of the night. Just a sad attempt. I felt bad for the waitress and still tipped 20%, but our chef was terrible.

I don't understand any of the reviews under 5 stars!! Koto is an exceptional restaurant located in Soho area of Tampa, Florida. The food is very delicious and flavorful. The filet and chicken was so delicious! The restaurant very clean, great location, our server BB is the best! Ask for BB!!!

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I am new to this site and just recently bought a reservation here. I noticed that on the reservation page, it is booked under a random name and a virtual email address.
I can't find any button to change either the name or the email for this reservation I bought. So, should I just say that random name when I arrived at the restaurant? Not really sure about the procedures.
