AMAZING!!!!! Get both butters with the bread.
They were both so so good. We loved all of the dishes we tried but the beef tongue was superb! I have never had it and was a little weary of eating it but it was seasoned so well and so tender. Great service!!! Also, loved that we got a passion fruit treat from the chef to end our meal there.

We came here for a date night on our trip to London and it was worth all the praise we had heard about it beforehand. The biltong was a South African classic and a great way to start the meal. The kudu bread and seafood butter was a must try, the scallop potjie had great flavor, and the ravioli were also very good. The onglet was the meal's highlight as the meat was cooked perfectly but the sides that it came with were also outstanding. For dessert, we got both of the options on the menu and it was perfect to close the night out. The service was great and they were very friendly and attentive; we sat in their outdoor patio in the back and they were able to give us cover when a drizzle started in our meal. Each of the tables had blankets for customers to use outside as well if they got cool in the breeze.

Great food! Our party of 4 had the Poussin (chicken), pork chops and our vegetarian had the roasted cauliflower! All were excellent. The wine being South African was as good as ever. So glad we got to visit while in London.
Be the first to ReplyWe agreed that this was easily top 3 meals of 2019.
The seafood butter and bread were unexpected but truly delightful, the sea bass was delicious and we particularly loved its crispy skin, but the onglet and accompanying vegetables stole the show. The meat was incredible tender and flavorful and the sides held their own against this standout dish. This is truly a meal I will not forget and the best we had on this trip to London. Don't skip dessert and try a South African wine. We took a picture of ours to buy when we get home!

Inventive take on South African food, sharing plate-style, I loved Kudu. Knew nothing about the place before going - pretty much stepped in off the street instead of getting pizza at Mama Dough. Props to the amazing Polish woman who made the menu come alive and was a brilliant sounding board for what we ordered. The lamb was among the best I've had outside of Iceland or Wales. Kudu's bread - served with bacon butter - is a death row meal in the making. Parmesan churros were fun. Ganache was amazing. Burretta, also amazing. For two people it was around 110 quid, tip included, and we left stuffed and drunk. Place is relaxed, will come back.
