We have never written a bad review here ... until now. We purchased a $140 gift card to Kyma on Open Table. When we went to use it last week, we were told by a manager that it was only $90. Since we had never dined here before, that wasn't possible. We followed up the next day but were told that Open Table was responsible. That wasn't true. We confirmed in writing with Open Table that unlike some other gift card services, Open Table pays the restaurant up-front. Open Table confirmed that the $140 (NOT $90) went directly to Kyma at the time the card was purchased. We spoke again with a Kyma manager, who again falsely tried to blame Open Table. When confronted with the written communication from Open Table, she said she would have Kyma's CFO get back to us. That was last week, and we've heard nothing. NO WAY to treat a patron. Total customer service FAIL. The fact that Kyma unjustly appropriated $50 is one problem, but even worse is the utter disregard for having done so. They just don't care. If Kyma has so little regard for its customers' money, they should consider a different line of work. Zero stars.
