I ordered a salad with salmon for lunch.
It was overcooked and there were barely any toppings. $30 so underwhelming. The place was so noisy and echoing it gave me a headache. Had to call the waiter over multiple times to get out our food, get the check etc. crowd on a Sunday afternoon was trashy.

It's a high end Greek restaurant. Extensive wine selection. One of our dish was made too salty (grilled octopus) We inform the waiter. And it was fix in a snap. Expected service from this place! And I normally have high expectations! Waiting for my next trip to see how would they exceed! But recommended for a consistently good food.

Was there on saturday at 9pm and waited 45 minutes with a reservation! I saw the male host walking towards us and tried to get his attention but was completely ignored. At the very least they should have kept us updated on the status of our table or something complimentary for our inconvenience. We would have order apps at the bar while waiting. Overall, the food was good...not great...just good. The co plimentary bread with hummus was yummy but it have also been that we were soo hungry. For appetizers we had zucchini chips, calamari, and octupus. The chips were good everything else ok. Main course we had the mousakka, lamb, pork chop, and seafood pasta. Everything was good. Nothing out of this .

I personally think Kyma is overrated, there are many other great Greek restaurants. We ordered the spinach pie it wasn't good, the drinks were good. The zucchini chips were good everything else we had was okay. I wouldn't go back personally. Service was great!

One of our favorite places for celebrations and a nice dinner out. Great for dinner with family and intimate dinners as well. The ambiance is great and of all the other Mediterranean styles restaurants on LI, this is my favorite. The food is amazing! The kyma chips is my go-to appetizer. Perfectly crispy without being overly oily and soggy. Always amazingly salted. The gigantes is definitely a must and pairs well with their complimentary pita (which also is drizzled with a herb and lemon infused olive oil - to die for). Their main courses are large and everything we had was great. The service is great but you definitely recommend having a reservation otherwise you'll be seated at the bar.
Be the first to ReplyService war great, Lobster risotto was mushy and very salty.
Calamari appetizer was cold. The saganaki was disgraceful. This is NOT fine Greek dining.
Be the first to ReplyKyma is very very ehhh.
It is not in any way extraordinary and in some ways even below average. Just finished a meal there with my fiancee. We had appetizers, a salad, main course and we were finished in less than an hour. The food was not paced at all. Each dish was brought out immediately after we finished the last. It seemed like the staff didn't have a chance to check in before the next course was brought. We started with the Greek salad, a $26 exercise in absolute mediocrity. The tomatoes weren't ripe, the salad was nearly 50% green peppers and the feta tasted like it might've been bought from Kraft rather than an actual Greek purveyor. We continued our journey in the land of nothing special with octopus and grilled haloumi. The haloumi might've been the best part of the meal, but in no way special. The octopus tasted relatively rubbery and also bland. We finished our meal with the bronzino for two. It was a large portion of fish, fileted table side. It was also relatively bland. We decided on lemon potatoes and the chicory escarole for sides. Again, nothing memorable. We found the service to be adequate, just maybe rushed. The restaurant was overwhelming noisy as the bar was standing room only, 3 people deep on both sides. It reeks of a see and be seen vibe rather than a strong culinary offering. There are much strong Greek options, especially at such a high price point to spend a dollar on something that is so ehhh.

Amazing food, impeccable service and perfect ambiance for a girls night out!! We have been there several times and it's always consistent.
Be the first to ReplyKyma is a great spot! I came with the my mom and my brother.
To start we shared the fried calamari, and my brother had the Pastitsio Spring Rolls which came with béchamel dip. For our entrees my mom loved her salad, and my brother raved about the Pasta Santorini, and I had the Avgolemono (still can't pronounce it lol) soup, it definitely hit the spot. The food overall for the price point was super delicious and was very flavorful. The place was clean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. The pricing wasn't too terrible for the food and would highly recommend giving it a try!
Be the first to ReplyOne of my very favorite, I love this place.
And the have parking as well to add to their Pleasure.

Overall, I had a great experience from arriving at valet parking to leaving this establishment. My 1st time at Kyma I was surprising a friend for her birthday for brunch and I later returned to celebrate my mother's birthday! When I pulled into the valet for the surprise birthday I informed the valet attendants that I was surprising someone who was arriving in approximately 5 minutes and I didn't want them to see my car. I thought they would shuffle me into a corner. Not the case. They immediately overextended themselves and moved a car forward and buried me behind it. They later brought my valet ticket and informed me when she pulled into the lot. This was a start to a great experience. The hostesses greet you with a smile and were very pleasant. The dining area has a clean look. I walked around the bar area and the surprise was a success. The food here is really good. The bread basket is filled with pita, and baked bread slices with humus. I would like my pita toasted more, but overall it was fine.Drinks:I've had several drinks here. You may say lush, but I say I was thirsty. Let's just say I followed the rules and was a passenger and not a driver.1. Sangria white /red- both were good. There is a bottomless hour, I believe during lunch/brunch hours, but don't quote me. It wasn't really strong but it had a nice flavor.2. Coconut pineapple margarita- this was really good. Not too sweet. It will definitely creep up on you.3. Spicy margarita - if you like spicy drinks. This is a great pick. It's one of my favorites.4. Midnight mojito - this was made fresh. Not with puree or artificial flavors. If you like mojitos, this is a great choice. 5. Winter bee's knees - the name can throw you off, but it was actually good. Not very sweet as the name would suggest. 6. Rum punch - this was my least favorite. I'll pass. Nothing meshed. It wasn't tropical and had a medicinal taste. I believe there was a heavy dose of bitters in it.Appetizers:1. Oysters - they were really good. Fresh with a briney flavor. I could have eaten oysters all night. 5/52. Calamari - perfectly cooked. Lightly dusted with flour, seasoned well, and fried to perfection. It was presented with a red (marinara) and green sauce. You can also have it grilled. 5/53. Octopus - This was one of the best cooked octopus dishes I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly Mediterranean style and seasoned well alongside chopped peppers, onions and capers. This is a must if you're an octopus fan. 6/5Entree1. Branzino- was seasoned well. I would prefer it to be cooked a little more. It is a whole fish butterflied and sprinkled with capers. I would order it again. 4.5/52. Salmon - the salmon was cooked perfectly. It wasn't dry and seasoned well. 4.5/53. Seafood pasta- if you LOVE seafood this dish is for you. It's filled with sea creatures. That doesn't sound good, but literally it's filled with shrimp, clams, mussels, etc...in a red sauce topped off with chopped scallions. 5/54. Vegetable pasta- this was also a good choice. The tomatoes, zucchini, asparagus, and eggplant complimented each other well. 4/5Dessert1. Loukoumades - mini donut balls. Drizzled with honey, cinammon, and chopped nuts. I am not a "sweets" fan. But baby! These were really good. They were not very sweet or dense, with just the right amount of sweetness. 5/52. Baklava ice cream - this was a pleasant surprise topped with a cookie. I had 1 scoop and it was really good. 5/5Kyma was a pleasant surprise. Everything was Great- service, ambiance, valet, food, drinks. I will definitely be back. Make sure to take pics by the bathroom. There's a cute swing under a neon sign.

We have been going to Kyma just about when opened and it just gets better. 90% of the time we order Whole Fish, Greek salad,, sides offered are all delicious. Service is very attentive. Class show's through as they don't nickel and dime you by charging Credit Card Fees. They have been expanding but I haven't tried any of the new place's but have info they too are excellent.

What is all the hoopla about? if you are not a cook and McDonald's appeals to your taste buds, then by all means dine here. Had the lamb shank which had the weirdest spices added to it which only detracted from the flavor of the lamb. Orzo was drenched in a tomato and feta cheese sauce which had strong raw scallions sprinkled over it. This had to be one of the most unappealing dishes I have ever eaten. McDonalds would have been better.I suggest to spend your hard earned cash someplace else. And as many other reviews noted...the noise level is just too much.

The inside is very pretty and the service is great. The food is also good.

Loved this place! The food was amazing highly recommend the octopus to start. From the staff to the decor I like everything about this place. Will definitely be returning.
Be the first to ReplyOMG where do I begin?! Kyma is fantastic.
Every single minute we were there was great. The place is so nice, guys at valet very nice as well. The service was a 10 out of 10. Phillipo was beyond attentive and patient. He explained everything and also made some wonderful suggestions. The food was incredible. The Kyma chips are just a must have. My husband ordered the mussels and could not stop raving about them, he even asked for a spoon so he could have the broth. The hummus with pita was delicious. The moussaka I ordered was delictable. My husband ordered lamb chops, loved them so much he forgot to give me a bite. The baklava ice cream at the end...wow, I would have purchased a pint to take home if they had it! The music is great, the place gets packed. Its definately the place to be on the weekend, will definately return!!

It's always top notch, the food, the service, the ambience, one of the best restaurants on Long Island, things do get crazy Thursday nights, but if you like people watching, I highly recommend to go on Thursdays but it is packed. I'd like to go for lunch and enjoy my food during the day when it's not so crowded, highly recommend it.

So we came to Kyma ona Saturday night to celebrate my friend's birthday. We were a party of 6 with a reservation. It took about 25 minutes for us to get seated (past the reservation time) so we did opt to order drinks at the bar while waiting. The drinks were tasty. Once we were seated we ordered a bunch of appetizers and some entrees for the table. All of the food was delish. The waiters were also very pleasant. It was very busy here, and we were under the impression that there would be dancing as they had music and dancing during brunch previously. This assumption was wrong as they did close at midnight. Other than that we had a fantastic time here
Be the first to ReplyI'm being very generous by giving Kyma 4 stars.
The decor is very trendy and the wait staff was pretty good. However, I don't think all the hype is worth jt. Most of the customers had an attitude, as well as some of the staff. The food was OK and not really worth the price. My entree was a special, scallops. There were 4 of them, they were over salted and sat over a bed of broccoli and chickpeas... also all over salted, not to mention very inexpensive ingredients, so definitely not worth the price. On a positive note, we were seated fairly promptly and the appetizers we ordered, vegetable chips and a watermelon feta salad, were both very good. The pita and spread they give you was also good. They also have valet on-site parking. I'm wiling to try Kyma again. Maybe next time I'll pretend that everyone left their attitudes at the door.

We had outdoor dining last night at this Greek style restaurant. The appetizers were delicious especially the stack of zucchini chips and jumbo shrimps. It was a Saturday night and the wait staff had their hands full. Despite the crowd, service was good.My wife had the grilled red snapper which turned out perfect. My lamb shank was okay but not great, but I enjoyed the orzo..The key lime pie and ice cream was very good
Be the first to ReplySOOOOO GOOOOD!!!! Do not hesitate.
So authentic, such a fun vibe and truly a place to just enjoy and not worry.
Be the first to ReplyWent to Kyma for dinner last night.
The food and service was excellent. We had some appetizers along with the dover sole special and salmon. The sole was perfectly prepared. This place is blessed with some great staff. Everyone from the valet to the bartender and waiters do their job well. Thank you Oliver and Ricky for making it a nice dining experience.

I use to come here all the time me and my friend Arrived at around 950 pm to be rudely toldBy a tall bald headed doorman and lady that didn't looked like she worked dressed like a complete slob with grandma Flip-flops only to be told to step aside that we are filled to capacity and couldn't come in unless we had a reservation we just wanted to go to the bar to have some drinks and enjoy the night in the meantime While we were waiting cars were pulling up and they were letting people right in Without any questions I guess if you're not Greek they won't let you in They should know Discrimination is illegal which is also a felony To discriminate against somebody I will never spend my money here and tell people How horrible my experience was over there not the way to treat people

Appetizers over Entrees!!! Obsessed with their Greek Salad, pita bread, and Kyma chips. Ordered the lamb chops this time and they were delicious but definitely nothing in comparison to the appetizers. I recommend getting 2 per person and making that your meal!
