Found this gem by pure happenstance.
We didn't think we would be able to walk in and be seated, and we were! They informed us that there was a reservation two hours later and that we would have to be finished by then, which we understood. I had the filet and it was the best I've ever had. The aioli was amazing, everything was fantastic. This was the highlight of my first trip to Mallorca and I haven't stopped talking about it.
Be the first to ReplyTapas restaurant in the heart of Palma.
It's nearby all the shopping spots & you can reserve a table online so it's very convenient! Food was pretty good and that's coming someone who doesn't like Spanish food. I did think the dishes here were the heaviest ones from our trip so best to go hungry. Suckling pig was our fav! Super tender meat with just the right amount of oink flavor. I have no memory of the paella so that's that but I loved the low temp egg!! It's served in a rich foie gras sauce with the perfect amount of truffle & sweetness. Kinda tastes like mushroom soup but way better.
Be the first to ReplyThey have an impressive selection of wines.
The food we had was great, croquetas, scallops, pan with tomate and steak. The ambiance is great and the decor very cool.

34/10- this was delicious, however I was hoping that this would have more seafood as there are hardly any prawns. The rice was perfectly seasoned and this was incredibly filling and had so much flavor Tuna tartare 4/10- it was good, everything was done right. Served cold and not room temperature thank god. However it was mushy and they mushed it with a sweet sauce which was very overpowering. Tuna is a salty fish so it was really not a great mix Octopus -1/10- the egg was undercooked. The octopus tasted like an eraser, honestly very gross. Had to politely spit it out into a napkin, which was so disappointing and sickening - @princess_ary_ Salad 6/10- the greens of the salad were not that great, however it was honestly just a mid salad. There was no dressing and olive oil and vinegar had to be added into the salad for flavor and those condiments were meant for the bread. However, points were given to the presentation of the salad. - @mansi.shahh Olive oil and balsamic vinegar with bread 10/10 all around- the oil was very truffley, and the bread had olives in it which was fantastic Sangria 8.79/10- so delicious and refreshing with a hint of sweet flavor This was a Michelin star restaurant located in Spain, it was good however everyone had quite conflicting reviews and we honestly all agree it could have been much better. Their wine however was excellent and they had a huge selection (also given the fact they are a wine bar with tapas). In addition, they don't have many vegan or vegetarian options.

Beautiful quaint established in the beautiful historic streets of Mallorca. Ladies and gents, this is what we call fine dinning. Great selection of dishes with playful use of truffles. The presentation of each dish was very carefully ensembled and brought out very timely. This resturant shines in their wide selection of wine. The resturant is Michelin 2021. We were able to make a reservation the day of to this gem. Very highly recommend.

I toured Spain and La Bodeguilla was by far the best meal I had in Spain, and one of the most amazing meals I have ever had. The Cochinillo is a must have, as well as the octopus starter. My only complaint is that it was a bit pricey, but this shouldn't be a worry for anybody looking for a fancy meal that is not a University student.

This is a special restaurant a bit off the beaten path, but well worth finding it. We were only in Palma for the day and the lunch at La Bodeguilla made this a perfect day. We shared the tuna tartar and the lobster rice stew.....truly a brilliant dish. A nice Spanish wine selection and great attentive service. Until next time
Be the first to ReplyNice lunchtime restaurant in central location.
Feels a bit like a wine cellar. Good food and not complicated. No doubt do dinner also

We had walked by La Bodeguilla a few times in town already, and it stood out in part because of the unique circular windows that make it easy to peek inside and imagine the possibilities of the food you could be having. So when our first choice for lunch didn't pan out (reservations are taken quite a bit more seriously when it comes to lunch in Palma), we were able to snag a spot at La Bodeguilla before it started filling up for the lunch crowd. Given the contours of the building it's housed in, the dining sections are in little odd nooks and crannies here and there. We got an elevated table right next to all the wine hanging on the walls and just outside of the kitchen, where we could see some interesting happenings (the lobster preparation is a bit...different from what I am used to in the U.S.). Our waitress got our order in quickly and brought dishes out one by one in a timely fashion - important since we had a flight to catch. I went with a nice glass of red to go with the meal - nothing super special, but like any good restaurant here, there are plenty more wine choices if you want.Objectively, this was the best meal we had from a pure, smacking-your-lips experience. Everything just hit the spot, and if you want the real deal when it comes to Spanish cuisine executed to perfection, this place has got the goods. We started out with ham croquettes (8 of them - the order was larger than we anticipated), and wow - although the inside was gooey, cheesy and filled with bites of ham like at other spots - the fried crust was done perfectly...almost like how really good fried chicken is, but with a croquette instead. Next up were grilled razor clams covered in a thin slice of lard that very much resembled bacon in taste. The clams were flavorful and drizzled generously with oil, if perhaps a little less grilled than I had expected based on past experiences in Barcelona. The poached egg with truffle foie gras that was next...look out! It's more like foie gras and truffle soup served with a poached egg you can crack open and make even more decadent. Despite the ingredients, it's not too heavy - a little thicker than regular soup, but not by much - and the flavor, safe to say, was out of this world (foie gras + truffle is probably my favorite flavor profile combination). To finish off, we had one meat main - the roasted suckling pig, which was absolutely mind-blowing...a wonderfully crispy skin; very juicy, succulent meat with each bite; and sliced potatoes that were softened and soaked up the pork juice. We didn't have to stick around to try dessert, but I have no doubt it would be amazing. Next time we come back to visit Palma, this will be at the top of the list for places to come back and eat at. Every single bite was phenomenal, and I loved the modern finishes of the restaurant in a setup that was laid out around an old building's idiosyncratic design. Great in every sense of the word!
Be the first to ReplyVery nice, cosy place to eat tapas.

Be the first to ReplyWe were in Palma de Mallorca for only one day.
We traveled the entire island on the hop on/off bus. After 2/3 hours of sightseeing we were extremely hungry and really wanted to have some Spanish tapas. We are 4 very experienced diners and eat out often in Miami and NYC . This may have been the very best lunch we four had ever experienced. We ordered the dried beef with grilled artichokes, burrata cheese with anchovies, grilled octopus with spicy foam and potatoes and pork with date toppings. Each dish was better than the previous one and the service was excellent with perfect timing between plates. Lastly we topped off this feast with two fantastic deserts. Crumbled apple with gelato and creme brûlée!!What a meal!!Don't miss it!!!

Nice small restaurant close to the touristic placa but on a narrow side street. Very good service, friendly and efficient. We shared four rather big tapas, which was perfect for two persons. Rounded off with a chocolate dessert. Yummy!
Be the first to ReplyThis was my favorite Majorcan meal.
We ate and drank on a glass-top wine barrel and enjoyed ourselves by breaking bread and bantering into the night. They have an extensive and interesting cellar packed with over 300 wines to choose from and we enjoyed a local varietal. We sampled lots of traditional tapas to start (e.g. Iberian pork cheeks with chocolate and thyme, patata bravas, squid, ham sliced right from the leg etc.) and devoured our mains and wine. The choice for my main didn't seem particularly Catalonian at a first glance (duck confit) but the twist was that it was cooked and served with puree of aniseed, Sóller oranges and green olives and this couldn't be more representative of the island of Majorca. The very next day I was charmed when we took the vintage wooden train to the town of Sóller and passed by miles of orange and lemon orchards and olive groves (not to mention figs, pears and almonds). Definitely stop by La Bodeguilla if you're passing through Palma!
