Very Holy Very Good Cause and Food is the Best
One of the most unique dining experiences and some of the highest quality food in this region. In an old Franciscan monastery that is perfectly maintained. The grounds are amazing and I highly recommend you do the tour as some of the art and relics are breathtaking and important. It will put you in a mood that will prepare you for a long multi-course dining experience. Many if not most of the dishes ingredients are sourced at the facility. I would say the overall experience and I have been here 2 times, is top 5 for me. It's not cheap but no crazy, and the wine list is very good and reasonable in price. Might be better for a late lunch as it takes a couple of hours minimum. But you won't to leave. Also the Mondo X idea and principles help at risk youth. A lot of what you experience are from people who may have had a bad turn in life and are being given a second chance.

Everything from the quiet tour of the grounds (first monastery founded by Francis of Asissi! chapel still standing), to the dining room (small, beautiful, large painting by Leonardo da Vinci!), to of course the fabulous meal itself. 9 beautiful courses paired with wine. 100 euro per person and worth every cent.

The restaurant was a unique experience, beautiful location and the food was quite good but the service and the prices did not supersede my expectations to say the least. I feel one could have far greater dining experiences in Italy. We were also the only guests in the restaurant on a Thursday night.

After spending 4 days in Cetona, and really enjoying the local restaurants, we were looking forward to lunch here. The location is lovely and the staff welcoming but I can understand why we were the only diners... 100 Euros person is just far too much for the quality of food we were served. The pasta was too thick, the meat overcooked and dry and a couple of very odd dishes which just didn't work (overly cheesy choux bun and citrus turkey!). The bill came to 236 Euros for the two of us. As a comparison - we had a wonderful couple of meals in the town earlier on in the week (with far better 'real' Italian cuisine & much more atmosphere) for 40 Euros and 80 Euros. So paying 6 x/ 3 x the price felt a bit heart wrenching. Service was very attentive but rather overdone and a bit stuffy - you generally felt quite awkward in the dining room. I also think that the price should be on the menu or on the website so you know what you're walking into. The food isn't awful but you certainly expect more. I really hope the profits go towards helping the residents/ young people at the convent.

An etherial, gastronomic, spiritual luncheon. Price is of no consequence to what you will come away with from dining here. A gem of a lifetime experience. Grazie Mille!

Several courses and all were very very good. A little high in price that we wanted but well worth the experience.
