We made reservation for diner on line: maybe it s why we were not informed that the dinning room was not open on tat evening. When we go there for 6:30 pm on May 8th, the music was a way too loud to enjoy the lounge. We were informed that the dining room was shut and we wil be served in te lounge. Despite a "Dressing code" posted on the website, we will be sitting next to a guest woman in a gym midriff top and a busser with an aperon so filthy that we felt like leaving the lounge immediateley. But we were too focused on trying to swallo the guacamole so spicy that we could have fainted. We did let it know to our waitress M. L. who replied she will let the kitchen know. Yeahhh... Beside the mushroom tacos reasonnably tasty, everything else was uninteresting and not worthy of going there. Just good margaritas from the bar. A place to avoid
Be the first to ReplySuper unprofessional company
Wow! What an UNPROFESSIONAL company! I tried so many times to contact someone from here to possibly cater a dinner for my wedding party. I tried the online form, the email listed on their website twice, then I tried Instagram where someone gave me another email and assured me they'd contact me back right away. And NOTHING. With so many delicious Mexican restaurants in Vegas I'll definitely take my business elsewhere. This customer service is just ridiculous.
Be the first to ReplyFun Modern Mexican, at a price
Now part of Downtown Summerlin for over a year, with expansion to Dallas mere weeks away, La Neta offers modern Mexican Cuisine and fancy Mixed Drinks in a room built for the #gram. Street slang for “The Truth,” industry-veteran Ryan Labbe focused on the hospitality side while Chef Lanny Chin heads the kitchen, it is amidst vines and chandeliers that guests are treated to top notch service plus videos and music that plays a touch too loud. Self-described as #UnapologeticallyUnique and true to its word in terms of “BIG F*#K’N TACOS” and drinks such as El Jefe with boozy Horchata, it is under the direction of General Manager Chris Zadie that dinner begins with housemade Chips, Salsa and Guac plus some mighty fine Flautas. Priced appropriate to an immersive experience, Sopes with Chorizo and Oysters beneath Ceviche outpacing overworked Meatballs, Salads are all highlights whether one opts for a tangle of Beets or Citrus-soak Sprouts though the “Mexican Wedge” proves best thanks to pickled Peppers and spicy Pork Vinaigrette. Built for sharing at Brunch or Dinner, particularly as relates to oversized Tacos ranging $60-$95, the Taco stuffed with a whole Lobster falls a bit flat as a result of too much Slaw while the Bone-in Short Rib Birria is rich and tender even before dunking it in Consommé. Putting on a show with “24 Karne,” flames unveiling Skirt Steak, Truffle Fondue, Onions and Gold, dueling “Trashed Potatoes” should not be overlooked, nor should be Desserts including Red Velvet Churros, layered Tres Leches or Bunuelos given Bananas Foster treatment.
Be the first to ReplyWorst Mexican Restaurant in Vegas
Sadly this is the worst place we have ever eat in town, we are originally from Mexico my wife is a Chef, we really enjoy good food, and taste different things, we are not picky at all. We ordered the degustation menu what a terrible mistake, the quality, presentation, and variety of dishes a complete disaster, truly disappointing, experience, overpriced for what you get. Be aware, stay away from this place! Nice place, well decor, but the ambience really loud:(

Food, service and decor second to none. Must try for locals and worth a visit if your coming from out of town.

My friends and I came here for dinner and it was really good. It’s a little pricey (my drink was $24) but the food was good. My only complaint is the tables are kind of close together. When we were leaving, we had to squeeze past the other tables.

had dinner with a friend in Celebration of her birthday, and the service was horrible. First, I booked a reservation about 1 month prior with a request for a nice table location with a view. we arrive for our reservation and they didn't have a table ready for us. They offered to sit us right behind the podium where there is so much traffic. We politely declined and asked if we could wait for a table in the main dining area. They eventually sat us on this small round table, not enough space for the appetizers or food. But we figured to make the most out of the evening we would just enjoy the table. At that point we felt lucky that they were able to accommodate our request. The waitress came over took our order and brought us our drinks. Eventually after 20m minutes these two gentlemen brought out our food and quickly disappeared. We never saw our waitress again until we flagged her because my friend wanted to order a soft drink. She never asked if everything was okay. She walked off and again didn't make it to our table until we flagged her for our check. Very disappointing experience. I felt as if they provide preferential treatment to select groups. I work at a 5 Star Resort on the strip, offers the most amazing restaurant and cuisine and I have had the most pleasant experiences. I will never go back to La Neta nor will I recommend it to anyone I know.
Be the first to ReplyGood food but too loud
The food was very good with a unique twist. The BFTs are enough for 2 people as are the trash potatoes. The decor was very nice and the service was good. The only downside was that the music was way too loud to the point you couldn’t hear the person next to you.

So, here’s the thing. I feel a bit bad giving this place only two stars (I would have given it 2 1/2 if that was an option), because the food was good, and the service was fantastic. Truly. Our waiter was absolutely great, and again, the food was actually all very good. However, I was there with a group of friends, and we were all a bit astonished by what this place is doing, in terms of pricing. They have shared items, which is cool, and a fun way to dine with friends, however, there is no value here. It’s like a casino where the odds are stacked in the house’s favor by an astronomical margin. There is a section on the menu that lists what they call BFTs, which is supposed to mean Big Effing Tacos. We ordered a big plate to share, and a few smaller plates to share as well. We ordered one of the BFT’s for $65. iIt was described as something that two people could share for dinner, and when it arrived, I was honestly dumbfounded. It was a single medium sized tortilla, with meat on it roughly in the ballpark of what you would find in one and a half tacos, with gold flakes on it. I could easily have eaten two of those tacos myself. $65. I mean SIXTY FIVE DOLLARS. While I don’t know the cost of gold flakes, the rest of the ingredients couldn’t have cost more than $.80 to make. Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and say that the gold flakes were another dollar. That means that they are charging $65 for a plate that cost about $1.80 to make. Wow. Just wow. While I am perfectly happy to pay for an expensive meal, sometimes you simply end up feeling duped. This was one of those times.

While we had a 7:00 pm reservation which I made 4 weeks prior, we were seated at 7:45. Unacceptable. The ambiance is pretty cool, very different but the acoustics is very very very loud. I felt as though I was in a nightclub rather than a restaurant. The menu looks inviting and innovative but the food was "ok". The value is too high for what you get. My husband ordered the fish of the day and that is all he received for $35...a small to medium size piece of fish on a plate of salsa...seriously. Drinks were ok but not for the $$$. This seemed to be the place to go if you want to be "seen". If you are looking for a loud club atmosphere, this is the place to go but if you want to talk to your companions, forget about it. This was certainly a miss on our list.

I love Mexican food. so when my sister told me a new one had opened in Vegas, we had to go. what a disappointment. the place is huge, but the tables are way too close together and the noise level is very loud. I get that music is fun to have, but this was so loud, you couldn't hear yourself speak. The food was touted as Mexican but with their special signature interpretation. To me, the food was terrible. If they were trying to get cute with "their take on Mexican" they failed miserably. the sauces were gloppy and too thick. The Mojo shrimp dish i ordered cane overcooked and cold. The drinks were terribly overpriced, in fact, the entire menu was overpriced. It was such a disappointment. We will not be going there again. I must say that the one saving grace about this meal was our waitress, Sarah. She was amazing.
Be the first to ReplyGood service but not worth it
The new hot spot off the strip is La Neta - Mexican food with a twist and a price tag to go along with it. The good news is Sarah, our waitress was GREAT. It was a busy night and she held it together and was very attentive and helpful guiding us through the menu. The place was packed and it was so loud that it was hard to hear each other talk at the table. I liked the decor and the Halloween decorations were great. The drinks were good although the second one had much more liquor than the first (a ploy that many restaurants do on purpose). The food was okay. The Lobster Enchilada was lacking. It needed flavor and more lobster. If you're paying $45 (or market price) for this dish there should have been more lobster. The Short Rib Enchiladas were good and I would probably order them again (if I were to go back) and the Mojo Shrimp came cold and overcooked. The prices were very high and even though one of the dishes was removed from the tab and 2 drinks were comp'd it was still over $200 for 4 of us. I don't mind paying if it's worth it but this wasn't.
Be the first to ReplyAlysia the superb mixologist
Mexican restaurants come around very often in this town, but La Neta has a sleekness unlike the others.
Retractable windows, hightop seating and lounge seating for dining or simply just cocktails and people watching ;)
The other evening myself and a friend had the pleasure of Alysia creating martinis and margaritas which wowed us. She handled the one of two bars at La Neta with ease, attentiveness and professionalism on a quite hectic Saturday night.
Alysia engaged us throughout the evening and brought to our attention the upcoming events of brunch and bottle service La Neta will be providing. Her service and cocktail creations alone, we will return.
We had a few appetizers- all had flavor! Jesse was entertaining and appeared to oversee both sides of La Neta's operations went seamlessly.
Alysia, thank you again for the candor and service.
See you sooner than later!
High-end decor, service, and prices
The prices should be half what they are for what you get, in my view. However they were packing it in on a Wednesday night so the area needed this concept apparently. I would go back if someone I wanted to impress said they want to eat Mexican fare. I don't think we have a great Mexican restaurant in all of Las Vegas but that's me. Not like Guelaguetza in LA for example.
