La Pecora Bianca NoMad New York Reviews from The Last Year

Came right around 11:30 on a Tuesday, and we were one of the first ones there but as we were leaving I noticed the place had filled up quite a bit. We ordered the whipped ricotta to start, and it was very good. It initially came with three pieces of bread but we were brought more later on without even asking! I also ordered the blood orange spritz, but was a little disappointed by the lack of blood orange flavor. It seemed like just regular orange, which was not bad, just not what I expected. The mushroom pasta was very good! The sauce was so flavorful, and I loved the texture of the noodles, they had a bit of bite to them. Waiters were friendly and had a very pleasant experience!
Great food and service.
The whipped ricotta was the favourite on the table, tasted so good with the honey and toast. Also had meatballs to share, which was not bad but nothing to shout about. Gramigna was wonderfully al dente and tasty.
Pretty great experience here ! Ordered the Whipped
Pretty great experience here ! Ordered the Whipped Ricotta, mustttt get this! The truffle honey with the ricotta was so delicious and I needed to get extra toast to finish it! I think the meatballs were just okay, not really worth getting as an appetizer. Had 3 different pastas: FAVORITE was the Gargonelli, it was the MOST flavorful out of the 3 we ordered. You really taste the wild mushroom and the pesto and garlic!!! I would totally get this again. The Rigatoni and Bucatini were good and they were definitely fresh pasta but I would only go for the Gargonelli here.
Good wholesome Italian
Came here late tonight and to our surprise, it was still open after 10.30pm. We had some pappadelle and tagliatelle both with a raging and meat and sausage. It was very tasty with some fried Brussels sprouts in a lovely sauce. The red wine by the glass was a great bonus. The staff were superb.
Amazing pasta!
The service and food was very good, they have a excelent pasta menu’s and it tasted amazing. It is the best pasta i have ever tasted! Wow
Delish! Loved the pasta and lasagna! We had food delivered
Delish! Loved the pasta and lasagna! We had food delivered and it was packaged so nicely and hot and fresh. Loved!
GREAT ITALIAN
This place was SO GOOD. The best Italian food outside of Italy I’ve had in a while. Everyone should try it :))) we had the rigatoni, tagliatelle and the garganelli pasta with the toscana salad. 10/10 on all the food.
Did not meet expectations.
Their ground meat mixture (eg, bolognese and meatballs) were unbearably salty. Could not finish. Dishes without ground meat were more tolerable. Front of house staff was wonderful but cant say we will give the place another chance.
Very welcoming place
Very friendly staff. Excellent tiramisu. First courses even better. I would definitely stay here again. Polite Margherita Pizza. Rating 8.5
Good place for a early dinner & drink with friends.
Excellent food, pleasant environment, good service. We sat inside where it was noisy, but not too bad. Probably better to go early.
Excellent Italian style restaurant
An excellent place that offers a menu of very well cooked Italian dishes. Friendly and professional staff. Nice location. Low prices compared to the city average
Been several times now and always the same great experience.
The decor is top notch down to the to go bags; so clean and bright. The servers are great, very attentive. There are so many good food items I can't decide which are my favorites. But if you're looking for a nice spot to meet a friend for lunch, drinks and dinner after work, go here.
Absolutely LOVE LPB! I have to go at least once every time
Absolutely LOVE LPB! I have to go at least once every time I'm in the city. It's easy to get a reservation, the vibe is super chill and fun but still upscale. The staff is super kind and the food comes out relatively quick. Every dish I've tried has been great! Some of my favorites include the roasted cauliflower for an appetizer and the vodka pasta is a MUST but you really can't go wrong with anything! Some things are only available at certain locations so be aware of that when looking at the pics I included!
Delicious! It's the perfect spot for a business lunch.
We literally got every appetizer but if I had to recommend 1 it would be the ricotta. But the meatballs were SLAMMING as well. Salads were big portions. We didn't stay for dessert but will try it again next time.
I came here with a girlfriend for an early dinner.
By the time we left at 7, the place was definitely packed. The vibe is definitely trendy, but our servers seemed pretty down to earth and not pushy with anything. I got a mocktail lemonade, which was refreshing. My scallops were very hearty and flavorful. The menu was short but very nicely curated. (That being said, no dessert was actually calling our name by the end of the meal.) I was pretty surprised, but there's even seating downstairs just outside the bathroom. That space does feels more intimate but also less trendy.
Over booked and had to wait a considerable time for our table.
We waited 25 minutes for our table after the agreed booking time. We were offered a table outside but it was a cold night and not where we had booked. It took a further 30 minutes to get our food. Little attention in service.
. I came here a couple of months ago during the San Gennaro
. I came here a couple of months ago during the San Gennaro festival and it was the highlight of meals that I had in the city. They have a beautiful indoor outdoor seating, set up, which gave us a nice streetside spot to people watch and still get the restaurant ambience. For starters, we tried the brussels sprouts and the honey goat cheese bread, they were both so incredible, seasoned perfectly, and generous portions, the cheese was plentiful and marvelous. When we ran low on bread, they offered to bring us out more. For the main, I tried the rigatoni with the burrata cheese on top and it was the best rigatoni I've had. It was wonderfully creamy, and the burrata was at peak freshness, splaying out as you cut through the center of it, and giving the dish a cold and creamy texture and depth of flavor that really sets it apart. I will definitely come back here the next time I'm in New York !
Good location, but service was just okay.
I visited the La Pecora Bianca on Columbus Avenue, as it is close to the New York Historical Society. We were a group of eight, and we tend to spend well, but the manager and wait staff seemed distressed by having a party "so large.". We had just come from an exhibition at the historical society and wanted to have drinks, snacks, and to talk about the exhibit. The place was just a little more than half-full, but were seated at a table for 8 in a covered outside area, as all the empty tables inside had apparently been reserved. (We did not have a reservation). After about 10 minutes, were asked by the manager to move into two parties of 4 --and not sit together. He claimed this was a policy of the restaurant to not seat a party so large at a single table sue to fire safety and separated us. It was disappointing, but we agreed. When the waiter arrived, he announced that the kitchen would close in 15 minute and we had to order immediately. It was a Sunday at about 3 p .m. and the kitchen actually closes at 10pm. (It turns out his shift was ending and he wanted us to rush). Little things like this -- not being able to sit together, being given false information, being rushed -- made it a just-okay experience. We did not order food, but had drinks and wine. Overall, they do not seem prepared for drops-ins and seemed overwhelmed by a part of 8 --so if you really want to eat here, I'd call ahead. By the way -- a party of 8 is a good thing.
Not Impressed
Dinner with wife, granddaughter and her boyfriend. Busy but seated promptly with a reservation. Very noisy. Crowded with tables close together. Limited menu. Three of us had pasta dishes and one had Branzino fish. Food was tasty. Portion sizes did not justify pricing. $6.00 additional to add Burrata cheese on top of pasta. Nothing outstanding.
Great service
Room gets too noisy at dinner time. My pasta dish was so-so. I would try again at lunch and order something else. Restrooms are downstairs

Good question. Currently the bidder will have to include the prepaid dinner price plus bid to secure the reservation. AT is currently working on an upcoming release where the prepaid amount and the bid amount are two separate transactions. Happy Bidding!
