Out of the Normal, Weird Experience
This was a little bit odd in comparison to all of our other restaurant experiences during our visit to Disneyland. First of all, we were delayed an unknown amount of time, but it was estimated to be at least 30 mins because their fire alarm had gone off and pushed all of their seating times back. In the end, the delay did not last that long. We were seated outside (not offered the choice of inside or outside). We ordered and it took so long to get our food, that between that and the delayed seating time, we had to ask the bartender for chips and salsa because one person in our party needed to eat due to low blood sugar. The food was fine. We had burgers and the lobster nachos. They were plentiful and tasty. Overall, not bad, just kind of strange.

With a prime location and view on the water at DCA, this place wins for atmosphere alone. On top of that, we love the food and drinks. Also LOVE the fact that they can easily accommodate gluten free and dairy free requests, including nachos and cheeseburgers! It is difficult to get reservations, but well worth waiting for a table if there is availability.

Itโ s located in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park, really hard to book. In the main restaurant area, thereโs re Pixar posters, materials about the movies and artworks on red brick walls. Better to sit at patio for the view, theyโ ve heaters and tents outside so no problem with the cold and rain. The cuisine is gastropub, there is a quite small menu of foods but larger with the coctails, service is ok. I recommend; Lobster Nachos Pork Chops
Be the first to ReplyReserve Early - Itโs Busy
We managed to get a reservation for the same day that we wanted to eat here. There were three of us and we sat at the bar for supper. We shared plates - had an order of the lobster nachos and the potato skins. We enjoyed both of them and there was plenty for all three of us. The cocktails are very expensive but no more so than anywhere else in DCA. However they do taste good. Their non-alcoholic mixed drinks are much more reasonably priced and are very tasty. We would return.

I specifically made a reservation for lunch for the lobster nachos, and my confirmation also said lunch. However, it was still brunch at 1pm and the lobster nachos are not on the brunch menu. They were not on the menu until 2pm according to the server. I was very disappointed. I also feel that if this had happened at a restaurant at DisneyWorld in Orlando, they would have made the lobster nachos available. There were limited items available on the brunch menu, and the items we ate actually did not agree with several in our party and we ended up taking pepto bismol later. I was so excited to get this hard to get reservation, and was terribly disappointed all around. It was the worst meal of our 3 day trip.
Be the first to ReplyAt least the lobster nachos were really good
We made a lunch reservation two months ago on June 2. It says they open at 11:30am. So when we arrived for lunch yesterday (August 2), we saw they didnโt open on time. When they did open and one of the the upstairs hostesses called our name, she took us downstairs to the downstairs hostess area. When one of the downstairs hostesses called our name, she actually tried to seat us along the bar! When I asked, why is she putting us here, she said, โOh, itโs first come, first served for walk-inโs.โ That, to me, meant our reservations were not honored! After clarifying we had a reservation and was confirmed, we were reseated in the lounge without an apology. We eventually received really good and friendly service from Sal (our server), and had the best lobster nachos Iโve ever eaten. This is the only reason this place is getting an additional star/point (2 out of 5). Upon leaving, none of the hostesses (downstairs or upstairs) bothered to acknowledge us by, at least, thanking us for coming in or saying to have a nice day, etc. Yes, this is what I will remember about this place!

I got a walk up here it was advertised as 10 minutes but took 30 minutes to get seated. I was solo and the service was dreadfully slow. The place had plenty of empty tables so didnโt look that busy. I had a frozen cocktail and the lobster nachos. The cocktail was ok but didnโt have much alcohol in it for the $16 ! The nachos were very poor there wasnโt one bit you could recognise as lobster and it tasted more of salmon. It wasnโt good for $23. The screaming kids on the next table didnโt help. The server never checked on me until I had finished (leaving half of the dish) and when I complained about the nachos just got a sorry about that have a nice day. No attempt to put anything right. I told the people that seat you on the way out I wanted to make a complaint and nothing. They smiled politely and nodded. They didnโt take any details and it was clear they had no intention of attempting to put anything right. I was just politely brushed off. I even had to ask are you even going to mention it to the kitchen ? Oh and the total time for this two hours !!! Over $50 dollars and two hours for substandard nachos and a drink !! The view over pixar pier is fantastic but the launch countdown of the rollercoaster will drive you mad ! Very poor.
Be the first to ReplyNo gluten free seltzer or cider served here
Great service, ok food, seriously lacking gluten free alcohol choices unless you want wine or hard liquor. There are so many gluten free options for drinks โฆ.ciders and seltzers a plenty. This restaurant has recently changed their beverage choices to exclude any cider whatsoever and one canned vodka seltzer that is not even popular anywhereโฆNutrlโฆno one orders that who has a choice. Please help your committed servers out and give the customers choices for gluten free beverages they actually want โฆ.like the most popular white claw, angry orchard, or the boutique brewery X or ace.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing dining experience at Lamplight Lounge
We went to this lounge and wanted to end our holiday in Anaheim on a high but unfortunately we didnโt achieve it. The location is good, with great views of the park, a wide selection of beer & wine but the evening was spoilt by poor food. I chose the chicken which was dry and of poor quality and my partner chose the nachos which were better but not as good as in other Disney eateries. I think itโs fair to say that the food served up to diners around us seemed to lack quality and much of it was left to be cleared away by staff who were attentive but not particularly interested in my complaints about the food. Overall this was a poor dining experience which offered such promise when we arrived but was ultimately a very disappointing experience.

We got seated and ordered pretty quickly, this is a popular restaurant. I ordered the lobster nachos and my girlfriend ordered the chicken ratatouille. The nachos had a slight fishy flavor with no noticeable lobster meat, it was sort of ground up but could have been tuna. The ratatouille was mostly bland and the chicken was baked and not very good. We wonโt be back. Ambiance was very nice though and wait staff was pretty good aside from our waitress going to lunch halfway through our meal.
Be the first to ReplySuper small menu - decent food
My only complaint is that the menu had about 4 things to choose from (a lot of Disney restaurants are this way). Food was fine. It's a Disney restaurant so it's of course pricier than it should be.
This restaurant is "open air" and the night we were there it was in the 50's outside, so inside the restaurant was a bit chilly.
Yummmm
The food here was wonderful! We enjoyed the views of paradise pier while eating our lunch and it was a great way to spend a few hours. The setting was perfect. Can't wait to go back!
Be the first to ReplyTry the Ratatouille!
Had a 3 pm reservation on the deck at the lamplight lounge. Ordered the ratatouille and it was unlike any ratatouille I have ever had, smokey, creamy, incredible . Lobster nachos were top shelf. Unexpected delight at an amusement park. .

Love the different options as well as the great view. Always try to get a reservation here and plan our day around it.
Be the first to ReplyLovely Atmosphere Okay Food
I was lucky enough to get a seat for my family of 4 and I just as the Lounge was opening for lunch. We had to wait only about 5-10 minutes and were seated outside with a gorgeous view of Pixar Pier. The restaurant is very nice inside, a bit of what I would call Pixar Brooklyn Industrial, and the staff was all wonderful. The food was good but not the best food I've had in Disneyland or Disney World. It's a great lunch stop but I don't think it's spectacular. Our burgers and salads were satisfying, and a bit elevated for theme park food, but it wasn't as delicious as I was expecting. I would give it another shot but not before trying some other Disneyland restaurants first!
Be the first to ReplyCraving Tuna Poke...& Ended Up w/ Watermelon
Came to A Touch of Disney & had reservations at Lamplight. Thru reviews & pictures, the Tuna Poke was the 1 item to try. Out of our party of 6, 4 of us ordered the Tuna Poke. To our disappointment, 90% of the "tuna" was watermelon & the 10% was tuna. All 4 plates had the same...nothing but watermelon and avocado. I will never underestimate Disneyland's intelligence on finding an ingredient that looks like tuna like watermelon to add to the mix. DO NOT order the Tuna Poke if you want tuna, unless you want a Watermelon Poke.

We came here with family and friends and we had the lobster nachos which were very delicious and it was fun ordering drinks off the secret menu you find online.
Be the first to ReplyLamplighter Lounge - Can't wait to return
Since the restaurant changed over to LL fairly recently I was eager to try it. Once I started reading reviews though, I almost cancelled our reservation. So glad I didn't.
We were seated on lower level counter overlooking lake and Pier.
Fully enjoyed the lobster nachos, tuna poke and added a side of malted fries. There was plenty of lobster on our nachos and our server happily fulfilled our request for some more lobster cheese sauce and fresh jalapenos when we got towards the bottom. Poke was outstanding and we added some of those fresh jalapenos to the tuna. Delicious. Malted fries were a added indulgence and worth the calories ๐. Cannot wait to return.
Upscale bar atmosphere
I was really disappointed at the atmosphere and set up at the Lamplight Lounge. An upscale bar that allows kids/families right next to the bar. I was also disappointed in the service from start to finish. We had reservations, we showed up a few minutes early. We had to wait about 17 minutes to be seated. At first they tried to seat us at with two larger groups at a table that could seat maybe 20. We passed by a dozen of empty tables to be seated at a communal table. One of the larger groups didn't speak English. After requesting a different table we were put by the busy, loud bar and by bunch of families. It was like we weren't allowed to be at a table where you could carry a conversation with anyone in our party. When we looked at the prices, we and about died over how expensive it was. Disney is expensive but this was sad.
Our waitress was in a complete rush. Which made us not want to be there. So we hurried through. When we were leaving we asked why couldn't be sat at tables by the water or pier since we had a reservation, or what we should have done to get better seating. The hostess appeared offended by the question and replied that reservations on guarantees you a seat, and turned away. I love DL and CA with all my heart, this experience was terrible.
So, if you want to grab a drink and meet new people possibly learn a new language this might be the place for you. I won't be going back unless they change somethings.
