I made a reservation here for lunch, and I thought it was so-so. The location is great, but they seated us at the bar. It would have been nice to have a table by the water. Service was pretty good, but they did forget to bring my husband's coffee. It came way after our appetizer came. For our appetizer, we had the potato skins. I thought it would be like TGI Friday's, but it was more like a croquette. It was pretty good nevertheless. For my main, I had the lemon rosemary chicken, and it was a pretty huge order. I thought it was just ok though. I thought the creamy sauce overpowered the lemon and rosemary flavors. I also thought the menu was pretty limited, so I doubt I'll be coming back.

Wow. I will be eating here every time I'm in California adventure for the rest of forever if I can swing it. The pork chops, the nachos, and the donuts were all incredible. I seriously considered ordered more of the pork chops to take back to the hotel! The wait staff was great. It was busy, so I was worried that the food would take awhile and that we'd have empty cups most of the night, but I couldn't have been more wrong. They were on the ball in every regard. We were sat on the outside edge of the dining area, so we had a beautiful view of the park out over the water. The lighting was great and the seats were comfortable. Honestly, one of my all-time best dining experiences at the parks!
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I visited DCA just for the lunar new year
My husband and I visited DCA just for the lunar new year festivities back in February last month on a Sunday. I really wanted to try the milk tea and taro donuts, but was unable to get a reservation, so we lined up at 8:45am to do brunch instead since we knew how busy it gets during lunchtime. They opened at 9am and we were seated right away by 9:10am at this fire lit table outside. Their brunch was fantastic! The chilaquiles and brunch burger were a hit. The lunar new year cocktail was great as well and tasted unique, kudos to the mixologist who came up with the complementary flavors. The only thing I was super sad about was that they only served the brunch donuts for brunch hours and not their seasonal milk and taro donuts. I wish they would serve their seasonal donuts during brunch as well since there's still guests who don't do frequent visits to Disneyland.

We try to make one dining reservation per day when visiting the parks. We booked here based on some blog recommendations and were very happy with it! Service was great and it's a great central location. I wish you could see out but they had sun shades down for comfort. My husband is very picky and loved his pork chop. Even though the potato skins were not what I had in my head, they were tasty and sauced perfectly. My family loved the nachos with carne asada. Cocktails are expensive but delicious!

They have 4 pages of alcohol and then half a page of a middle school cafeteria food selection at an average of $25 an option. Save your money and go eat at a restaurant off the property. Service was practically non existent, saw our waiter when order was taken and not again until it was time for the check. Then hit with a 20% auto gratuity to add insult to injury.

Ate there yesterday, 3/15. Had the lobster nachos and a single beer. Within about 2-3 hours i was rushing to the restroom to use the toilet as well as vomiting. FORCED TO CALL OUR NIGHT SHORT THANKS TO THIS. *this was the only meal out of my usual norm and i do not have allergies* It's been 12 hours since i first got sick and i'm still feeling really crappy (literally).

It's been a while since I tried somewhere new here at Disneyland. When the time finally came to bring my daughter for her first few days to The Magic Kingdom, I wanted to take the chance to eat somewhere apart from our usual diner and cafeteria style haunts. The Lamplight Lounge seems to have replaced Ariel's Grotto, a place we never had the chance to try years before. But, what is here now is gorgeously decorated with Pixar memorabilia and has a very comfortable atmosphere to it. We made our reservation, which we still had to wait a good 30 minutes passed, but were seated in the bustling and boisterous downstairs dining area. My wife and I split the Lobster Nachos. She had them put the black beans on the side, which allowed me to load them up on my portion of the dish, something I didn't mind at all. The lobster was warm and flavorful, fresh and without that old and fishy taste you worry they might have. And there was a good mix of Cheddar and Colby Cheese melted across the top. My only issue was that the salsa should have been drained a bit to help cut down on the any liquid that eventually made the bulk of the lower chips soggy. My oldest had the Chicken Budding Artist Meal, consisting of well grilled tenders and a delicious orange sauce. He chose the fires and fruit on the side and ate everything given to him. My youngest opted for the Pasta Budding Artist Meal, which consisted of pasta in a cheese and cream sauce with goldfish sprinkled on top. It was a bit under seasoned, not much flavor in the sauce, but I must admit that the goldfish were a pretty brilliant addition and I'm amazed it's something I never thought of trying before. All in all, a VERY good dinner and a gorgeous location. With Disneyland not as accessible as it used to be, I'm not sure how often we will get to come back. But, I'm very happy we took the chance this trip out. ---------- And for the Disneyland Reviews List: Taste - Or the Overall Flavor: * * * * We only had a limited selection of their menu, but what we had was pretty damn good. While the nachos may have been a bit soggy at the end, the flavors were still there and my son's dinner was very much on point. If we go again, I am positive we could expect another great meal. Convenience - Of the Seating & Service Options: * * It's small and pretty popular, making seating very limited. Reservations are a must, but even those can result in waiting times when they can't get seated diners back out the door. Value - Will you walk away satisfied?: * * (and a half) Every place in Disneyland is relatively over priced; the trick is to find food that will make you not want a snack two hours later, despite what you pay. Typically, paying around $10 per person is what you should expect, but still have a filling meal. Lamplight is a bit pricey. Yes, we split a dish and the young ones chose from the kids' menu, but we still topped out at about $55 with drinks for four people. We were all full of the night and happy, but it still tipped the scales for that $10 average point Kid Factor - Is there entertainment for the young ones?: * * * This one is tough to judge. On one hand, you have a gorgeous view of the waters of the Downtown Boardwalk area and can see the roller coaster and the ferris wheel which are both stunning at night. On the other, you're far enough away from the rest of the park where any nearby shows and parades can't be enjoyed by anyone. Plus, kids are only so entertained by the Pixar decor of animation stills and character development artwork in the restaurant itself. Still ... I loved every bit of it.

I went on 3/12/24 for my boyfriends birthday we'd been trying to get reservations for months and got lucky on a walk in. The drinks were very good I tried their Abstract thoughts. We went to try their famous lobster nachos and we also ordered a salmon blt. Sadly it just wasn't worth the hype or the price (2 drinks, lobster nachos and salmon blt $95) . Our order took like 45 mins to get it and when we did it was cold. I'm not talking lukewarm no it was cold you could see it in the cheese. We would've said something, but our server came by once to drop off the drinks and then to return my card after I gave it to someone else because he never stopped by :/ I was pretty disappointed, but the ambiance was nice. We sat outdoors and it was a nice clear day the view of the pier was nice as well.

Lamplight Lounge has always been a solid spot to grab a meal while in CDA. They have delicious food, tasty cocktails, with a great view of the pier that overlooks the water. On my most recent visit to the happiest place on earth I dined here twice. The first time with a group of 4 around sunset and second time with a group of 12 a little after lunchtime. I was surprised at how easy it was to put our name on the waitlist and how short of the wait it ended it up being! Food is always solid, my go to is for sure the lobster nachos. Drinks are tasty and we always do a group dole whip shot. They even let you take your cocktail to go if you need to! Lamplight is always a great spot to escape the chaos of the park, rest your feet, and grab a bite to eat.

REVIEW ONLY FOR BRUNCH: Finally got reservations and here's what I thought They only serve brunch Friday and the Weekend til 1 and it switches to lunch at 2, it's a very short modified menu and I wish they had more items We sat by the water so got a good view of the Ferris Wheel and coaster but the sun does get in your face and it can get hot really quick so just a warning Food: I got the chilaquiles which were ok, portion was big so unless you're a big breakfast eater I'd say to share it. I'd probably order something else tbh. My friend got the brunch burger but the meat patty again was pretty big, again I'd suggest to share it but I liked the burger more than the chilaquiles. 2nd time I got the "Spiced Ham" Benedict and Cinnamon toast cocktail which was AMAZING. Fair warning the "spiced ham" is really SPAM lol but delicious, I got the sauce on the side and my friends were using it too. Can't explain the flavor but it was so good. The cinnamon toast cocktail tasted just like cereal milk, omg very dangerous, small in size though, 2-3 sips and I was done but omg it's a must. We also both got mimosa flights that were warm as soon as we got them. I wish they gave us a carafe of chilled champagne or something because had to ask for a glass of ice to keep the mimosas cold. We got a shot of Mexican candy and a drink to go. Overall, if you wanna come, share food and take cute pictures but they have better selection and food elsewhere in the park... depending on if you get drinks can come to about $25-35 a person which isn't a bad deal but isn't the best either.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a great experience here at Lamplight Lounge.
We had a 7:30 reservation and checked in at 7. They took us almost immediately. We were sat downstairs by the water. The lobster nachos for an app was amazing. We ordered the porkchop (So good!), a salad and burger. All meals were very good. Finished the night with their donuts and hot cocoa and they let us stay for the WOC show! Would def eat there again.
Be the first to ReplyYou are paying for the ambiance for sure.
Seated at a weird table hard to accommodate 5 people it seems. First waiter was not very good. Slow to assist us and not thrilled to help or be at work. Food was good or just ok depending on what you ordered. The cheddar burger was good the fries were not. Fries were barley warm which is a huge pet peeve of mine. Don't serve fries barley warm ever! The poke was good. Potato skins were just ok. They needed to be hotter and seasoned. The salad had whipped blue cheese dressing and would have been better with ranch. The hot chocolate was hot. I was told it's free refills but they told me nope it's not. 2319 drink was tasty. The donuts were good raspberry sauce was very tasty. Donuts although very small after a large meal it was a good treat. Just don't like odd number of servings, just make it 6. The last time we were here the food seemed better. 3.5 stars. The waitress that took over was a huge improvement to the guy before. She was friendly and helpful. Food needed to be served hot for all hot items. Needs more consistency in food. Change the whip blue cheese to ranch or another dressing please!

I think people hype this place up so much because of the drinks. If you want to spend the afternoon day drinking at the park, this is for you. If you want the best meal in Disney, this isn't the place. It's not awful by any means but it's not what it's hyped up to be on all the message boards. I would probably only reserve a table here in the future if I wanted to be sure I could sit down without leaving and coming back to the park. It was basically a more expensive version of Red Robin.

Definitely not an easy place to get reservations for but something fun to try at least once. Ordered a zombie from the secret menu. The first time I'd every tried a zombie was from here when it was previously cove bar. It's strong and pretty sweet. I've definitely had better, but it is nice and colorful. For my entree I had the tuna poke. It was good but definitely appetizer size. Lucky I wasn't super hungry. Expensive for what it was but taste was decent. Service was just okay, but did have the best view to watch world of color
Be the first to ReplyThis spot has been my favorite in California Adventure
This spot has been my favorite in California Adventure since when it used to be called Cove Bar. We ate out on the boardwalk dining area that doesn't need reservations. There was a cast member that we checked in with instead of the Disneyland app, and they were able to seat us right away. It wasn't that crowded especially because we were there on a Wednesday around opening time.Unfortunately, the food quality and dining experience is not the same as it was before. The secret menu drinks are very still lovely to look at and tasted delicious. But these cocktails were served in plastic clear cups. I am picky when it comes to cocktails, so for the price paid and for a sit down restaurant, I'd expect the drinks to come in at least glass cups. It was a bit windy that day too so our drinks almost flew away. The food came out a bit cold as well and the flavor was just not there. It didn't taste fresh. Although it looked so yummy coming out to us as the first meal of our days, we just were not impressed. It is a nice dining experience though to sit by the water and watch the Incredi-coaster go by. I just wish they kept up with their old quality!
Be the first to ReplyI've been to Lamplight a few times over the last several
I've been to Lamplight a few times over the last several years. Typically we book a reservation online several weeks out. Brunch is always much easier to secure than lunch or dinner. The cocktails are a favorite of ours and the views are pretty great. I came recently with some friends and secured a lunchtime reservation for 12:30pm. Because I was craving lobster nachos and was kind of over their brunch menu which I have had half a dozen times before Or so I thought...I began my check-in process on the app about 10 minutes before our reservation and then waited for the push notification and/or text letting us know our table was ready. This is super convenient because you can walk around, check out some stores, and don't necessarily need to be in the immediate area waiting for someone to call your name. When our waitress arrived we requested waters and lunch menus. She mentioned that they weren't yet serving lunch at 12:30pm. I'm sorry what? 12:30pm is a pretty standard timing when it comes to lunch-time fare. When I asked her what time lunch is served she said it was 2:30pm. But wait... dinner starts at 4pm. That means lunch is ONLY served from 2:30pm to 3:55pm. I'm sorry but why even have a separate lunch menu if you serve it so late and then only serve for an hour and 25 minutes. And before anyone asks if I checked the times, yes I absolutely did. When booking my reservation I choose "lunch" as the time on the Disneyland app and it offered me 12:30pm. I also did a quick Google search (since they don't have this information clearly stated on their menus or their app) and found a few websites mentioning lunch starting at 12:30pm on weekends and 11:30am on weekdays (this was a Friday, btw). I asked if there was any possibility of ordering off the lunch menu and her response was short and unyielding. There would be no lobster nachos or donuts today. My friends were also dismayed and since the brunch menu is rather small, and were put off by response we opted to order some drinks and sans food. The Food & Wine Festival was going on afterall and there were plenty of options outside of Lamplight. After about 20 minutes after getting our first drinks and finishing them up, she declared that it was last call and we needed to order drinks now. We were so put off by the rush that two of the three of us didn't bother ordering another drink. This experience was quite disappointing. I understand kitchen rules and get it that a lunch menu isn't available. But the information needs to be clearly stated when making reservations. Even at that, we felt incredibly rushed. We still never got any waters.

Our waitress, Marlene, was great!! We split the potato skins and the cheddar burger. We've had better skins. The aioli was better than the sour cream. The burger was rich and beefy tasting!! The busboy was always on top of things filling our water glasses! Disappointed in the small food menu. Too focused on alcohol (80 % of the menu!!)
Be the first to ReplyFun atmosphere and the lobster nachos are yummy.
Sadly I do think several other items on the menu need to be replaced but over all good and I would recommend.

Did not have a reservation but we got there and waited until they were taking walk ups. The hostess had the patience of a saint because everyone was asking her the same questions and she was so sweet. The food was fantastic and the bar service was excellent.
Be the first to ReplyI would highly recommend adding yourself to the walk up
I would highly recommend adding yourself to the walk up list either with the staff in the front or in the Disney app. It's not a problem if you come at a strange time like 3pm.We got lucky and were seated on the patio facing the Incredicoaster so it was super fun watching the ride-goers blast off. Food was actually super good and a generous portion. Drinks were on the lighter and sweeter side. Highly recommend the Brussels cesear and the lobster nachos. Brussels were nicely charred and dressed nicely. The nachos were loaded with toppings and it was very satisfying to get a lump of lobster meat with the chips. Check out the lounging seats inside, the decor was super cool.

I was pleasantly surprised with brunch here! The menu is definitely limited and doesn't leave much room for substitutions but they accommodated my ask and made my brunch burger protein style! The taste was really good and fresh. The rose was okay, nothing to brag about but a standard dry rose. Overall for it being inside of CA Disney, I was happy with the meal. Recommend if you're looking for a sit down experience but with a pricey tag.

I didn't spend too much time here but I did order the lobster nachos. I highly recommend and it was big enough to share around if you've already had a turkey leg prior or churro earlier. Make sure you make a reservation! I've said this before in previous Disneyland restaurant reviews but because of these nice experiences eating away from the heat, I have to book a lunch or dinner reservation every time I go to Disneyland or DCA. It's just makes for such a nice rest and relaxing time away from all the busy line waiting and thrill seeking.

I recently went to Lamplight Lounge and I really wanted to LOVE it but I just didn't. The food was hit or miss depending on what you get, the drinks were god awful but the view and the service was AMAZING. This was what saved the ratings. Let's talk about the bad before the good. Okay so the drinks - 1/5. Don't be fooled by the presentation because it was disgusting. Remember the drinks you use to mix at college parties? This is exactly what it tasted like. If you're looking to get really hammered at Disney, this is the place to get your drinks. However, if you're looking for some good drinks to sip on, 10/10 NOT recommended. In terms of food, I would give this place a solid 4/5. It really depends on what you get. We got the potato skin, lobster nachos and the salmon poke.- The potato skins - crispy Yukon gold potatoes with brown butter caper yogurt, smoked paprika and manchego cheese; this dish was pretty good. I thought it wasn't overly greasy and it was very crispy.- The Lobster Nachos - lobster with black beans, aged cheddar Oaxaca cheese sauce, shredded cheese blend, pico, Serrano peppers and chipotle cream. Listen ... this is NOT the dish to get. the nacho chips were stale, the lobster tasted like it was CANNED lobster. Just don't get it. I felt nauseous after eating this. - Salmon Poke - THIS WAS AMAZING!!! 10/10 recommend. The salmon actually tasted like it was fresh salmon. The dish was so tasty and delicious. It was refreshing. So like I said, the service and the view is what saved this rating. The service is UNMATCHED. They went above and beyond. I mean, what else do you expect from Disney right? My cousins were obsessed with the cute little coasters and our server gave us a bunch to take home with us. The views were so spectacular. It's right on the river and if you make a night reservations around 8:30/9pm, you'll be able to enjoy the immaculate water show called "World of Color", just ask for patio seating.
