I know that life is getting expensive in London but I think that a pizza with one extra glass of red wine a bottle of mineral water and a coffee should not cost 50 quid and this is what I was charged tonight so I’m thinking definitely over priced but definitely fabulous

Delicious pizza. The location is super convenient so no excuses, I would say margherita is the best one I’ve ever had. And staff was very nice too. Felt very familiar and cozy. Thanks :)

In summary, the food was very average and hugely expensive for what we got, but not as expensive as the £33 bottle of house red they gave us that’s freely available online for £6. The attitude of the staff was disgusting, the service was lacklustre and the overall experience was rankly unacceptable. I really do not know how this place survives other than relying on fools like us paying way over the odds. Will certainly not go back and recommend others to stay away!

We wondered why the queue for collecting food was so long but soon learned why. The ambience of the place is useless. It was a cold, January evening, rainy outside yet the only door was open most of them time. Staff would shut it but people calling in would leave it open. The food is very good - hence the no of people collecting. The food was also over priced for people sitting in the front of the restaurant. Go somewhere else is my advice.

Everything you read on here is true. Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, they upsell all the time. Yes, the service is a bit brusque. But don’t let it detract from one one thing… The pizzas are huge and delicious. Light bases, flavourful sauces and some of the best nduja I’ve ever eaten. Was I annoyed I got charged an extra fiver for a ball of burrata on top? Yes, but it was so good. Reason for three stars is the price. Two pizzas, two glasses of wine was nearly £90.

My local Hanwell Pizzeria, is making better pizza and in addition I have to say the staff is very rude, unwelcoming and even arrogant in some circumstances. I certainly won't be back.

The service here is truly terrible. First the waitor took our drinks orders one by one, he took one order and then went and got the drink and came back and did the next. We had to ask again for 2 of the drinks and a third time for one of them. We ordered food and the waitor asked if we wanted extra burrata but didn't inform us of the extra charge, which at £5 each was ridiculous. I ordered a side and asked if I could have it with the starters. This did not arrive with the other starter and we had to remind them it hadn't been brought out. The waitor then returned 3 times to ask what the issue was despite us explaining each time that it hadn't come yet. We had to ask twice for tap water and when we asked for a refill it never came. Upon splitting the bill we said we wouldn't pay the 12.5% service charge as frankly the service was awful. He then told us we had to, it wasn't optional, and that it was a cover cost. We said that no it is a service charge and hence discretionary, as stated on the menu. We then got told we owed another £10 despite us having calculated that we had paid the correct amount. We asked several times to speak to the manager and were told that the manager did not want to speak to us and we had to leave the restaurant, which we more than happy to do at this point!

The pizza is amazing - no question. We have been numerous times and every time we have caught them adding things to the invoice. For a credible restaurant it is pretty scandalous because it simply must be ingrained into the business model. They upsell at the table ... fine, but even when you say no they still put things on the bill. PLEASE BE CAREFUL

Very authentic pizzas - our Italian friend actually chose to come here so it says a lot. It's not the cheapest pizza but it's huge so it'll be enough for two people if you're both not having the biggest appetite. The seafood pizza was not that great tho - just a bunch of seafood slap on a pizza so don't bother because it's not cheap. The tiramisu was so-so. Service was nice as we are a big party and it gets our orders right.

Really disappointing! My partner and I were really looking forward to eating here but unfortunately we were left really disappointed. We had two starters which were average at best. We ordered two pizzas, a vegan margarita and a diavola. These pizzas came quickly after we had finished our starters. The pizza itself was large, literally hanging off the plate, but it was really soggy! The vegan margarita had very little cheese on it! Service charge was added to the bill and the waiter put the total price into the card reader before we even had chance to check the bill. As a heavily pregnant woman waiting to go down the stairs (someone was on their way up), I didn’t expect a waiter to push in front of me as I was waiting. Then I got half way down the stairs and a chef came out of the kitchen with a huge tray of dough and instead of waiting at the bottom of the stairs, he proceeded to walk up the stairs, forcing me to squeeze against the hand rail and stop to allow him past!! Very unnecessary!

I waited for the pizza to "settle" but it never happened. It was runny and gooey the entire time. Could have been better but was nice to have an affordable meal after a long flight from LA.Beware that lemonade is not fresh, it's lemon soda. This is typical of what you'll find in Europe.

Hold on to your wallet. Up charges at every turn. Pizza was good but service was terrible. I am sure they would have charged extra for the crust if they could get away with it. Pizza Express down the street looked better.

Been there to have some italian food. Their pizzas and their main course respect their high standards. This restaurant is loyal to its tradition and to its brand. I recommend an after dinner walk trough Regent's Park after dinner, as it's so close to the restaurant.

If you want a over priced soggy pizza then look no further. We ordered 3 pizzas with only 1 pizza having extra cheese. The three pizzas came out smothered in sauce with little cheese. The sauce caused the dough to turn mushy. When receiving the bill we got charged for extra cheese on all three pizzas. Very very poor I will never return.

Michele is the most overrated in Naples, having being surpassed years ago by other, better establishments, and now you can have same experience in London. They have to desperately try to keep up with the competitors by making their pizza larger and larger as a gimmick. Extremely expensive for what they offer - 100 pounds for two pizzas. The service had a couple of great italian guys, can't fault them. The rest was bad - food and price. The owner came at the end, very arrogantly, grabbed our card, swiped it and went his own way. Notice that there were 2 other tables at the place, so it has nothing to do with him being very busy.

The best pizza experience in London, reminds me of my time in Napoli! The Diavola was excellent with a very crispy crust. The service by Yusuf was extraordinary and he was very friendly. Recommended!

They will rip you off

Server immediately upsold extra cheese without telling us it was extra. Oldest trick in the book. They have moved on from the bottled water, which many people are now wise to. Very expensive menu anyway. Also charged us for 2 beers instead of one.

£71 for 2 pizzas and 1 beer 1 water. Disgraceful.

Oh, and 12.5% service charge. They sure know how to rip you off.

Shame as the pizzas were nice. Needless to say. We won’t be returning. Not that they care anyway.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
