Enjoyed a great meal here.
I had the fig and pear burrata crostone and the tagliatelle. Both were delicious, but the bolognese sauce on the tagliatelle was a standout. The service was attentive without being intrusive. This is a great restaurant for date night or dinner with friends. It was a little loud, since it was a Friday night, but lively. Would highly recommend!

Such a great place!! We were 25 min late to our reservation
Such a great place!! We were 25 min late to our reservation but they were still able to accommodate us at an outdoor table which was just as nice. We got the focaccia and Brussels sprouts to start and both were tasty and well portioned. The pastas were both great - we got the tagliatelle and garganelli. The star of the show was definitely the olive oil cake - a must get every time. Would definitely want to come back to try the other pastas and experience the indoor ambiance!!

So delish :) I came for my birthday lunch with my boyfriend and everyone was really nice, the food was delicious, and they gave me a free scoop of ice cream with a candle in it for my bday! My favorite dish was the roasted chicken. I have a list of the best roasted chicken I've had at restaurants, and this one came in second!! The burrata was also very nice and refreshing. I had never had a burrata like it.
😍

This was a great place that a friend took me to! The food was outstanding and the Ice cream sandwich was delicious and i could taste the browned butter. Everything tasted like something I've never had before which is something I look forward to (especially for Italian restaurants). The tagliatelle was such a tasty pasta dish. Looking forward to another night out here!
😍
This place was absolutely amazing.
Not only were their traditional pasta dishes absolutely delicious, but the Chicken was incredible and so were the desserts! Also want to give a special shoutout to our server Lydia because she was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond. We can't wait to come back! 5 stars all around!
😍
if you're questioning whether or not to snag a reservation.
.. just do it!!! you won't regret it - the pasta is TO DIE FOR. the dessert menu is highly underrated. literally all of them are incredible. and the vibes? immaculate.

This one certainly does not live up to the hype and was sure not worth the million resy notifications I set to grab a reservation here. Average food with an average vibe with below average service. I walked in 15 minutes late and the first thing the maitre d' says is "we need your table back in 50 minutes." Even though their allotted reservation time is supposed to be an hour and a half. They tried cutting it short to, what, punish me for the 15 minutes I came late? Most importantly, the food is simply average and the vibe is sterile. Go elsewhere.
😍
Take Any Reservation You Can Get.
The Food: The Menu is packed full of flavor- from classic Italian dishes to more unusual items like Fluke Crudo (think horseradish flavoring on fish). For plates of pasta, we went with PICI 'CACIO E PEPE' (a perfect classic) and PICI NERO (a flavorful seafood pasta). The scallops were large and meaty. We couldn't leave without trying the famous Olive Oil Cake. The portion was large and oh-so-delicious! I would recommend everything we ordered. The Vibe: We recently were able to snag a 5 PM reservation on a Saturday. While we really wanted to try L'Artusi, 5 PM is usually not our ideal time. Yet, from the moment I arrived, It was clear this place was a hot spot. Even with reservations, there was a line out the door! But after just a few minutes, we were inside and impressed. The Atmosphere is top-notch. The space is inviting yet bustling with many happy parties and smiling faces. The decor is modern, minimal, and sleek. There was fun music playing but it was not overbearing or too loud despite the crowds.
😍
I could not have been happier with my meal.
The crispy potatoes were perfectly cooked with crisp edges but melted in your mouth. The sautéed mushrooms were flavorful. The kale caesar had tender leaves and was delicious and my pasta was great. Will definitely be a returning customer when I get back to NY.

L'Artusi is one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining at. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, inviting ambiance and the friendly, attentive staff. The menu is a celebration of Italian cuisine, with a wide variety of dishes that showcase the flavors and techniques of the country's many regions. The standout for me was the pasta - each dish was perfectly cooked and paired with the most delicious sauces and toppings. The wine list is also impressive, with a great selection of Italian wines that complemented the food perfectly. I was particularly impressed by the knowledge and enthusiasm of the sommelier, who was happy to make recommendations based on our preferences. What really sets L'Artusi apart, though, is the service. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, without ever feeling stuffy or pretentious. They truly go above and beyond to make sure that every guest has an exceptional dining experience.Overall, I would highly recommend L'Artusi to anyone looking for a top-notch Italian dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal, this restaurant is sure to impress.

Absolutely, here's a Yelp review for L'Artusi:If you're looking for a special night out, I highly recommend L'Artusi. This West Village gem offers some of the most delicious Italian food I've had in a long time, and the elegant, modern decor and impeccable service make for a truly memorable dining experience. We started off with the beef carpaccio, which was melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with flavor. But the real standout dish was the pasta - we tried two different types. Both were outstanding, with perfectly cooked al dente pasta and sauces that were bursting with flavor. To finish off the meal, we shared a chocolate hazelnut tart that was heavenly - rich and decadent without being overly sweet. But beyond the amazing food, what really set L'Artusi apart was the service. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive, making great wine recommendations and ensuring that our meal flowed smoothly from start to finish.Overall, if you're looking for a special occasion spot or just a really great Italian meal, L'Artusi is definitely worth a visit. We can't wait to come back!

After all these years, still a solid, incredible dining experience. From food, to service, to ambiance. I found myself saying out loud, "this is what sweating the small stuff, and everything matters, means!" It's still the one I run to. This is where native New Yorkers dine.

We were pleasantly surprised with this place! We had to book it 2 weeks in advance and weren't sure how we'd feel about it on the day given how far out we had to book it. When we got to the restaurant the staff were very nice and friendly. The restaurant decor is bright and modern but still with touches of understated character.Since it was our anniversary, they also brought us 2 glasses of complimentary sparkling wine which we really appreciated. We ordered 4 dishes. The carbonara, tagliatelle and the spaghetti. Suffice it to say, every dish was very well done. Spaghetti - 9/10. Surprisingly a vegetarian dish, it was exploding with flavorTagliatelle- 8.5/10. The noodles weren't exactly the smaller width tagliatelle we expected and so we felt as if a smaller noodle would've helped make the dish less filling. The flavors were VERY good thoughCarbonara - 8.5/10. Great flavors and this should've been the noodle for the tagliatelle dish. Only available during weekends/brunch (unsure) according to our waiting but worth it.The star of the show- the Olive Oil Cake. Truly spectacular the first time you eat it. It is served with a syrup so if you don't like it super sweet, just the cake would suffice. I would give this plate 10/10. My SO, who usually avoids desert, ate almost 2/3 of it.Overall, we really loved this place. We booked a reservation for the next available weekend right as we got home given how much we loved it.Highly recommend.
Loved the olive oil cake and simplistic decor

The food is delicious! The fig & pear burrata crostone was such a beautiful blend of flavors, I could have eaten two if I had room :) And the cheesecake was light and not too sweet. I was very satisfied with my meal and can't wait to go back! The staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. You can tell that they love what they do, which makes the L'Artusi experience wonderful. Keep up the great work!
Best brussel sprouts in NY!
You walk into this quaint little restaurant and see, feel, smell and taste happiness! Genuine and incredibly talented people prepare and serve very simple yet powerful dishes that make you want to just sit back, share and savor your opportunity. Knowing full well how fortunate you are to be able to find such a wonderful place to dine. That's L'Artusi to me! Our meal 2 Basil Hayden Old Fashions Glass of Red, White the Mushroom app crispy potatoes Cacio e pepe Tagliatelle bolognese Olive Oil Cake Quince & Pear Sorbetti If I lived in NYC I would be looking at places close by so that I would not have to go far to enjoy another meal. Instead I will just have to wait until time allows me to return. Thank you L'Artusi

5 Star Fresh Pasta Dishes
The fresh pasta dishes were top notch. We had the bucatini and the Cacio e Pepe (also bucatini). Amazing. Also excellent was the very thoughtful wine list which was organized my Italian region. They had our favorite red wine from Sicily. Coming in at less than 5 stars was the focaccia (served cold and not very flavorful), the roasted chicken (quite heavy and somewhat burnt) and the roasted potatoes (also a little burnt but the ricotta salata was very good). Lively energy in the place and would definitely go back for the pasta, nice Italian bottle of wine and the olive oil cake (the reviews are right - so good!). We would slightly put Il Buco ahead of L'Artusi.
🤮
Ramen Bolognese instead of pasta bolognese
The appetizers were fantastic. The pasta tastes more like a ramen (probably not using the right flour or a mixture ) hence their al dante pasta ends up being undercooked instead of tasting actually al Dante. This is a huge red flag for an Italian restaurant. The pasta bolognese tasted more like ramen bolognese. The bite is initially very plastic and then just suddenly cuts through the pasta indicating the potential use of gelatin or some form of an ingredient that pushes the pasta over the edge to a ramen. Second big red flag is the overall feeling of entitlement across the workers. They don’t sound The experience felt like a bit off for a place that is supposed to be really highly regarded. Any small Italian restaurant in Italian town would be both better and better spent money. Avoid it!!!
What a fabulous restaurant! The food is gorgeous service is really good and the wines heavenly. A great neighbourhood restaurant that is a must visit while in town.
We were here for lunch and decided to just get a pasta with no starter. Both pastas were excellent. I got the tagliatelle bolognese bianco which was extremely flavorful. The pasta width was more like pappardelle which was no big deal. The meat was a combo of pork and veal I suspect. My wife ordered the tajarin carbonara with speck which also was excellent. We shared and they were both so good. Hard to recommend one over the other. Atmosphere is more trattoria in style. Service was excellent. Really enjoyed it! Service was friendly and attentive. Good value for the quality of the cooking.
We visited this location as part of a bachelor party and had a fantastic dinner. They gave us a private area that had a fantastic ambiance. Everything from the service, the drinks, and the food were fantastic. We ended up arriving late due to the amount of traffic and came in waves, but had no issues for them holding our table or sitting us.
Arrived during posted business hours...the lack of host or greeting for ten minutes bumped diners to outside of claimed kitchen service window...busy servers seemed relieved to no have more patrons due to claimed kitchen closure. Disappointing experience.
😍
Had a pleasant experience at L'Artusi the other night.
Came at 7pm on a Thursday and was immediately sat at the bar. I ordered the roasted mushrooms to start, the tagliatelle (at which point I was already stuffed) and then an obligatory olive oil cake to finish. They're famous for their roasted mushrooms, which I thought were unique and good but not the star of the night. The tagliatelle on the other hand blew me away purely by how perfectly al dente these noodles were cooked. No better way to finish off a meal than an olive oil cake and this one was exceptional. The candied raisins paired so well with the mildly sweet cake.
😒
L'Artusi is good Italian in a great location.
We ordered the burrata and beet and watermelon salad to start. Didn't love the tomatoes paired with the burrata. We split 3 pasta dishes for dinner - the spaghetti was the favorite of the table. The food is very good but nothing you can't find at any other Italian place downtown. Our favorite part of the meal was actually the dessert - olive oil cake and the sundae. The service was slow for an early-ish reservation on a Thursday and when the staff did finally come to the table they were removing plates we were still eating from. Good experience overall but Not worth the hype.
😍
Probably more like a 4.
5, but they deserve the round up to 5 stars. As one of the most famous spots in West Village, it can take awhile to get a reservation here, but I'd say it's worth the effort to set your Resy timers to make the reservation. We had the burrata appetizer, 4 of the pastas, and 2 desserts. The burrata was very tasty and I loved the peaches with it. The pastas were mostly all good, but I would HIGHLY recommend the mushroom one. Such amazing complex flavor and very filling, I'd probably get it again if I returned. Just so perfect. The desserts were also surprisingly great, which were the olive oil cake and salted chocolate cake. Both came with a scoop of gelato and was delicious. Interior is very pretty and sets the right mood for an upscale experience. I'd gladly come back to L'Artusu again, especially for that mushroom pasta.
🙂
Solid spot! Perhaps a bit hyped up for what it is
Solid spot! Perhaps a bit hyped up for what it is (straightforward, modern Italian) -- but that isn't the restaurant's fault. Cocktails were great, and the food was solid. In particular, thought the steak was a standout.
😍
L'Artusi was one of our favorite spots during our nyc trip.
Visited for my brother's birthday weekend, and it definitely met our expectations. Ordered four different pastas and they were all equally good!We also ordered the homemade ricotta and the shellfish( this was just okay) we will be definitely returning for the pastas
😍
If you can get a table, go to l'artusi.
The food is great. The pasta is made in house. The bolognese sauce is unrivaled. The service is great, and you might even spot a c-list celeb or reality star- we did. We were in the patio, and I would have preferred to dine inside- but maybe next time!

Absolutely disappointed as I had high expectations for this
Absolutely disappointed as I had high expectations for this restaurant given it's high ratings.First off, the house made ricotta was a huge let down; too much salt on top of the ricotta and the crispy wafers were also too salty. 2/5The tuna tartare was disgusting; it was weirdly sour and bitter. The flavors did nothing to compliment each other. The sweetness of the cantaloupe was squashed by the bitterness of the gingery sauce and the tuna itself did not look fresh. There were cucumbers too and that did nothing for the dish. 1/5The Cacio e Pepe pasta was good except that it was way too salty as well. The creamy sauce would have been delicious if not for the overuse of salt. The pasta itself was good and firm, not over cooked or undercooked. 2/5The other pasta we ordered I believe was the tagliatelle. Pasta noodle itself was good, had a gritty texture to it. The sauce was also good except again, too salty! 3/5The scallops. The scallops were cooked well, it's the carrot purée sauce at the bottom that was too salty, and the veggies had a lemony citrusy sour seasoning on them that when chewed with the vegetables, turned bitter. The whole combination was confusing and Undelightful. 2/5Overall 2/5 because I seriously could not finish a single dish even when I was fairly hungry. It felt like I was forced to take more bites because I desperately wanted to like it! Most of the dishes ingredients themselves were cooked well; it's just the combinations of flavors and seasonings that ruined the dishes.
😍

Wow, just wow! This place is on my top list to recommend anyone visiting NY! You want top service? Amazing food? Come here! The staff is extremely friendly and the food was amazing! Drinks are also great! We came celebrating our anniversary and anyone who came by our table told us happy anniversary and were given champagne on the house. Affordable, nice atmosphere, top service and great food.

A friend said that this is "the best Italian restaurant in NYC". I don't think I'd say it's THE best, but it was definitely somewhere at the top of the list. We made a reservation about a month in advance. For two people, our server recommended that we either order * an appetizer, two pastas and a main OR* an appetizer and three pastasWe went for the first option.Food | To start, we got the wagyu carpaccio. It was good carpaccio with a decent amount of crunch from the rye crisps. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of carpaccio, so my opinion of it might not be as high as some other reviews here. Moving on, we ordered the tagliatelle, bucatini, and roasted chicken. The pastas were AMAZING. They were just the right amount of al dente and the sauces were so so so good. Now, to the chicken. I usually don't order chicken at restaurants because that's a meat I can cook at home, but when our server said it's the most popular main, we decided to get it. Ah, it was so juicy and tender (even the breast meat)!!!Drinks | They had a decent selection of alcohol. We went for the cocktails, and they didn't disappoint.Ambience | I really liked the ambience. We got a table on the 2nd floor, which had skylights so there was an abundance of natural light coming in until the sun set.

We finally made our way here to this classic after snagging
We finally made our way here to this classic after snagging a spot on Resy (which I would highly recommend unless you're looking to put your name down and wait a couple hours). We started with the beef carpaccio which was cut really thinly and very tender. I'd recommend this if you're a fan of carpaccio. The pastas we tried were both delicious and it seems like you can't really go wrong with any of the options on the menu. The portion sizes were also decent considering some of the other places we've been in the city. We ended with the olive oil cake! Definitely worth the try with the golden raisins which had a sweetness that was nicely balanced out by the cake.Overall, I can definitely see why this place has the reputation it does. It's a bit of a hassle getting a reservation but worth it.
Went for a special dinner with my family, we came from Ireland and Australia. We were originally seated upstairs but I asked could we move downstairs, which the were able to accommodate. Service was a bit slow to begin with, however our waitress looked after us well. We had the carpaccio, mushrooms and focaccia- all of which was ok but lacked something. The focaccia was very heavy and we all said we have had better. We ordered 4 different pastas, again we have all had better. We asked for some black pepper from a waiter passing by, who very rudely shrugged his shoulders as he was holding something and said what do you expect me to do in an angry tone. Not how I would expect to be treated in any restaurant. They were out of the olive cake which I had read so much about. Overall I was very disappointed and wouldn’t be returning or recommending. 4/10

Memorable dinner in L'Artusi's private wine room
My family booked L'Artusi's second-floor wine room for an intimate dinner for 12 to celebrate a family wedding, and it proved to be the perfect venue for our celebration. Both the food and service were pitch-perfect. The wait staff was helpful and efficient without ever being intrusive. Our extensive menu, a selection of greatest hits from the restaurant's regular menu, was to die for. My favorites included the fluke crudo, the roasted mushroom appetizer with egg and ricotta salata, the gnocchi with black trumpet mushrooms, the branzino, and the signature olive oil cake. This dinner ranks among the very best I've had in NYC. The wine room was a great venue for our private dinner. It can seat up to 14 people, and has a very reasonable minimum spend ($2000) for such an in-demand place. Other popular restaurants my family checked out in the vicinity required far higher minimum spends for their private dining rooms. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of L'Artusi.
Our friend managed to get a 9:15pm reservation on a Saturday night. We absolutely loved the food there and the service was great. Will definitely be back when we are in town!
😍
Excellent food and service!
Food, service and ambiance excellent! Almost impossible to get reservations! We went for a birthday celebration.
😍
Hard to get reservations, but worth the effort!
Food was scrumptious! Staff was friendly, welcoming and professional. Nice clean location. It’s nice to see the staff not only took pride in their jobs, but they went above and beyond to ensure the customers needs were met. I highly recommend!

L'Artusi has become one of my favorite restaurants in all
L'Artusi has become one of my favorite restaurants in all of NYC. Wow. What a great dining experience. My boyfriend and I were seated upstairs and even though the table was close together to other tables, I didn't even notice because we had such a fantastic dinner. Food | Started off with the sheep cheese appetizer for a small bite, and it was really delicious. The crackers tasted like an ice cream cone in a way but the cheese and the pickled strawberries balanced it all off. For the main dishes, we got the hanger steak with potatoes and the cacio e pepe. GET THE STEAK! It was such a highlight of the meal - from the whipped butter and potatoes to the steak itself - you don't want to miss out! The cacio e pepe was cooked al dente, but I thought there was a bit too much pepper. Honestly, really enjoyed it regardless! Lastly, we got the cheesecake and it was SO good. The mango sorbet was such a perfect touch to the dessert. Next time we will get the ever popular olive oil cake!Drinks | We got a bottle of chardonnay and it was really good! The waitress we had was super attentive, too, which I appreciated. She was constantly refilling our glasses.Overall, would recommend booking a reservation ahead of time - this place gets so crowded but the ambiance is perfect for a date night full of good food and good drinks. I didn't feel rushed at all and the service was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back!
😍
Fav Italian food in NYC.
Delivers well too.
😍
One of the best meals I've had in recent times.
Already can't wait to go back. Had a bottle of chardonay, some cheese to start, the cucio e pepe, hanger steak, and cheesecake for dessert. The steak stole the show and was incredible. Will probably try other dishes next time plus get the steak again. Service was good. Got a reservation through Resy.
😍
I have been waiting forever to be able to get a reservation
I have been waiting forever to be able to get a reservation here and it finally happened this last Saturday. I am so blown away and everything about L'Artusi is worth the hype. The ambience is so pretty and the private wine room is beautiful and can seat up to 14. To my favorite part, the food- everything we had was incredible. There was no dish that I tried that I didn't absolutely love. My friends and I shared the wagyu carpaccio, tuna tartar, burrata and brussel sprouts. The burrata toast was absolutely delicious and my favorite. The wagyu carpaccio was fantastic and so fresh and we loved the tuna tartar. For my entree I had the Pici with crab and it was my favorite part of the meal. It was perfectly cooked to Al Dente and normally I'm not a big crab eater but you cannot miss it when coming here. For dessert the olive oil cake is an absolute must!
😍
Such an amazing dining experience and well worth the
Such an amazing dining experience and well worth the difficult reservation. My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night and every table was full on both floors and including the outdoor dining setup. It's a hot spot for high quality Italian dining, amazing cocktails and an extensive wine selection. We started off with bread and wagyu carpaccio which was by far the beet carpaccio I have had in my life; the flavors and textures combine to melt in your mouth with every bite. For pastas, we got the garganelli and tagliatelle which were both delicious, the garganelli had so much rich umami flavor...I know I'll be dreaming about this one for awhile. We also got the venison osso buco which was fall of the bone tender and incredibly flavorful. To finish our dinner, we shared the olive oil cake. I've recently become obsessed with olive oil cake and this one was definitely up to par to my standards. It was a generous slice of cake paired with a fresh cream and candied raisins. A scoop of everything combined creates a synergistic effect that will keep you wanting more. Overall a fantastic spot for Italian and I cannot wait to return for more!

I had high expectations for L'Artusi and maybe that's why I
I had high expectations for L'Artusi and maybe that's why I was so disappointed. We were graciously greeted by the host to led us upstairs to our table. The stairway is lined with real candles by the way so to anyone who's holding their jacket, be careful not to hit any of them! If that was any indication of what our night would be like, the upstairs dining area room temperature was much too hot and I sweat bullets throughout the entirety of dinner. Our waitress was nice and attentive, but hard to flag her down at the end for the bill. Also, I was expecting the focaccia to come out as an appetizer but it didn't come until the end - which was a bit of a letdown because we were already full. The last thing you feel like eating when you're full is dense bread. The focaccia ($8) was so dense that I couldn't even finish it. I just had focaccia from an Italian bakery in Miami the week before and it was lightyears better, half the price and came with more bread. The highlight of our meal was the scallop crudo ($22) I basically drank the lemon agrumato it was plated in and we had been recommended to dip our focaccia in it but the focaccia didn't come out until we had finished our entrees, despite us asking the waiters. The pici nero ($35) had more crab than pasta, though the nori breadcrumbs were a great addition. The garganelli mushroom ragu ($23) portion was large and too simple, with just mushroom ragu and ricotta salata. We had Barbuto's mushroom ragu before and it paled in comparison. Ai Fiori's Trofie Nero ($32) or $15 during HH is a perfectly balanced version of what L'Artusi was trying to achieve. I think the problem with our meal here is that everything we ordered, we've had elsewhere in NYC and it was done better. It's possible that L'Artusi is just not a great fit for my tastes, but I still know many people who applaud this restaurant. I would be open to returning for another chance if their menu changes and starts offering more unique or elevated dishes that can compare to its peers.

Came here on a Saturday for a late lunch w a friend and surprisingly didn't have to wait to get seated at the bar area. (I've tried doing table reservations and they're backed up for weeks for prime time slots)I got the Bucatini, which came out perfectly al dente and super fresh. The sauce combined with the pancetta gave the dish a unique and wonderful flavor. If I had one gripe, it was that the dish itself was quite small; I wasn't particularly full after finishing it. I would highly recommend trying this place out as the pasta is top notch; though I would definitely try to book a spot in advance. (We were quite lucky in being able to walk right in) I hope I can come back soon to try the other pasta dishes!

Came for brunch with my friends and fell in love with the mushroom ragu. However, the star of the show was definitely the lemon ricotta pancakes. They were to die for! Will definitely come back.
