L'Atelier De Joel Robuchon Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
The concept is really interesting, my partner and I were
The concept is really interesting, my partner and I were fascinated with being able to watch the kitchen work, the countertop seating made it less intimidating of a big dollar restaurant and the interior was dim and romantic. Although, I didn't love rubbing elbows with strangers just to pick up my fork. THIS IS A FUSION RESTAURANT. I was under the impression this place was purely french cuisine but it's french/japanese fusion. Call me a purist if you must, but I was disappointed hearing this as we sat down. The food was good, I think the handful of dishes we felt were mind blowing made everything that was less than that seem to fall flat. That's the thing about really fantastic food, the whole meal needs to stack up ! By the end we were surprised to find ourselves very full, we underestimated the portions for sure. Service was generally speaking kind and attentive. One of our waiters seemed far more interactive with other parties than us, which I was fine with. The big thing that brings my personal rating down was this: Our cost came out to around $552 for two tasting menus. This is before tip, and without any wine or extras. The party next to us dropped like $2k for (a bit too much lol) wine and their meal. Seriously, i'm shocked no one cut them off the juice! TLDR: beware the dollar signs, smaller parties get countertop seating, you'll be full by the end of the tasting menu, and drink responsibly :)
Forgettable Tasting Menu, Lackluster Service
The fine dining restaurants at MGM Grand are Joel Robuchon and Atelier by Joel Robochon. We tried Atelier and it had to be the biggest ripoff in fine dining ever. Firstly, they were 25 minutes late for our table for a $300 tasting menu. They made up for it with a round of champagne (nice gesture, but would have been nice to check if everyone drank (two guest didn't). The bread they put out was stale, old and dry. Honestly, ridiculous how terrible it was. The courses were boring and repetitive (oh, here's scallop in a beurre blanc topped with roe, and now here's halibut in a beurre blanc topped with roe. Oh, the haute cuisine!). It was a joke. The mini-baguettes were so old, the flaked all over the table when you tried to eat them. The table was covered in crumbs (unavoidably), it was a total mess. After a several courses, it was clear no one was coming to clean up, so I asked them too. They half heartedly dusted and maybe got to 50% of it. I would have rather they just skipped the bread course then deal with the annoyed look when I asked to them to clean the mess resulting from their crappy bread. By the end, it seemed like no one was even paying attention that we were still there, or that our tasting menu wasn't finished. Our small pieces of medium rare A5 Wagyu steak was served bloody rare and with a gross, gristly fat cap that was barely cooked. Terrible supplement, definitely should not have added it. Like the MGM Grand in general, this place does not need to exist

A knock out Michelin star restaurant and at a very reasonable price. Their tasting menu is a must and the flavors and pairing of their foods is outstanding. Staff is super hospitable and you'll leave very full. I loved how well they cooked every dish and presented artfully. Absolutely recommend this restaurant for a splurge dinner.
Great fine dining
Great fine dining with a classic French feel. Each course is cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Five stars!!!
Service was okay.
It took a while for our server to first show up. We brought two bottles of wine so they brought out wine glasses, but never asked if the table if we wanted anything else so I had to stop him to order a cocktail. Sommelier was very nice. The amuse was a savory jello shot. I don't think anyone at the table enjoyed it really. One person wouldn't try it. I had heard about the better and bread for years. The croissant roll was very good. The other breads were fine. The butter was good, but I didn't notice anything different than butters from other restaurants of this quality. The carpaccio was too oily for me. The strong oil flavor overwhelmed the fish. Others at the table enjoyed this dish, but I wasn't a fan. The tartar was very good. Clean, tight flavors. Probably the only food dish I would return for. Wagyu rib cap. This came out cold. Both mine and another person's at the table. A $145 served cold is unacceptable. The steak was good, but nothing memorable. The mushrooms served with it were very good and curiously hot. Dover sole was nice. De-boned table side which is fined, but they served one person's tenderloin steak, proceeding to de-bone three sole plates before pouring the au poivre on the dish. Mashed potatoes were served cold. Even the cast iron little pots they were served in were not hot. General manager brought out some desserts because of the cold steak. Did not bring a souffle. They were six of us and some of the desserts where the tiniest little slices of cakes that on a couple of us to eat them. I found the cocktail menu lacking variety and creativity. I asked for a spicy margarita if they could do that and the cocktail made was very good. I ordered a second but with mezcal and it also was very good. All in all I do not this the restaurant executed well enough for me to return. Possibly I'd do a cocktail and tartar at the bar, but at this price point the world if your oyster and I'd look elsewhere.

ooooooooH maaaaaaaah gaaaaawd! I know why he is a 3 Michelin star chef. The journey the meal takes you through each stage of the tasting was just impeccable. I've had Michelin star restaurants before and this is definitely top 3 in experience and taste. I really enjoyed the open kitchen was like watching a musical. I truly appreciate each cook and what their intention to detail for the part of the dish they were all in charge of. The service was flawless! The only negative feedback I have is that the last dessert dish could be left out, it didn't really tie in with the rest of the meal. Other than that, A+++
This place is small but cozy.
I am very impressed with their wine menu. It's like a book of encyclopedia for wine!! Very clean and classy. We sat at the bar facing the open kitchen and get to see our food being prepared, very entertaining! Our servers are very nice , kind and professional for sure!
Consistent perfection
This restaurant has special meaning as the place where we dined just after our wedding, as well as the site of many anniversaries over the years. Our visit in December 2023 was just as all the others have been. That is, to say, perfect from beginning to end. With a tasting menu that constantly changes, I won't run down the individual courses. Instead, I'll say that by dining here, you will never find a course that isn't prepared with the highest levels of skill. You'll also never miss out on the finest in service from the waitstaff and sommelier. A visit here will be an expensive night, but one well worth the price. Highly recommend.

This was one of the best meals that i've had in Vegas to date! I've been to Joël Robuchon, next door multiple times now and loved it so I figured I should try out L'Atelier. I loved the interactive chef's counter experience, it was so fun to watch the food being prepared! The service was also very friendly. Every course was simple yet delicious. The scallop course was one of my favorite scallop dishes i've had in a while. I also really loved the foie gras ravioli and the Norwegian king crab dishes. My boyfriend got the wagyu upgrade and it was so worth it, I definitely recommend upgrading if it's available even though the Australian wagyu was great. The desserts were both wonderful and the meal ended with some delicious black currant macarons.
Best place in Vegas!
For years I come to this place. The consistency of the quality is impressive! The service staff is always on point, escpecially Ariel, which I see and adore for several years is amazing!

Took my family here for a birthday as a 'cheap' way to see if it would be worth shelling out for the full Robuchon experience, appears that we saved a lot of dosh going here. Average service. Upperscale decor. Food was something I could see paying 20USD a head for, if anything was served at a temperature other than room. Ordered everyone at the table shaved black truffle with potatoes, as recommended highly by the waitstaff. Couldn't taste the truffle at all mixed in, couldn't taste the truffle at all when I had it alone. Have had truffle in other dishes since, astounding how non-existent it was. Really wanted to rate the place 2 stars, but at the price per head... how mediocre such an expensive experience was is now an in-joke with my family.

This was definitely a dinner worth making a journey all the way to Vegas for. Last time when I had visited Vegas, I had thought of coming over here but couldn't make it, this time I made sure to get reservation beforehand for our Vegas trip. The serve a seasonal 9-10 course prix fixe menu or an a la carte option. We were still quite full from our Bouchon lunch so for a relatively early dinner, so we went for a la carte option. Interesting ambience with most of the chairs around the kitchen counter, so that was amazing to see all the action right in front of you! Service was impeccable, and our server paid so much attention to us. Two of us ordered a couple of small plates and a couple of main courses. The wagyu sliders were phenomenal - indubitably the best burgers I have had! And, even the ginger gastrique was so yum to go with fries. My fiance's onion tarte was also super unique and flavorful. And, we got quail and hokkaido scallops for the main course - we shared both appetizers and main courses! And, got our own desserts haha ;) I went for souffle and we got framboise for my fiance! Both were phenomenal! And, i ended up ordering a glass of ice wine to go with the dessert! It was delicious!! Overall, definitely a great experience! Can't wait to try the flagship one sometime soon!
Experience an outstanding culinary journey.
We had the pleasure of dining at L’Atelier and enjoyed every single minute of our experience. The service was excellent, and we were attended by an attentive Mexican waiter who explained the whole experience to us in Spanish (we are Spanish native speakers). The ambiance of the restaurant, being seated in front of the open kitchen, made it even better as we could see the talented chefs preparing the dishes served at the restaurant. We explored unique flavors and textures, including the celebrated mashed potatoes.

Date of Visit: 12/25/2023 We visited L'Atelier de Joël
Date of Visit: 12/25/2023 We visited L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon on Christmas Day, 9 months after our visit to the restaurant next door, Joël Robuchon. L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon was opened by the world famous French chef,Joël Robuchon. He opened the Atelier, or work studio back in 2003 in both Tokyo and Paris, and he expanded to Las Vegas in 2005. L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon has a sleek and elegant decoration, with the combination of black dining tables and red leather high chairs. L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon was awarded with 1 Michelin Star back in 2008 and 2009, when the Michelin guide rated the restaurants in Las Vegas. There is a Grand Tasting Menu and a 4 courses Menu option, and you can also order a la carte. We decided to order a la carte to choose our favorite dishes. 2020 William Fevre Chablis Chardonnay $24 I ordered a glass of the Chardonnay from the Chablis region in France. The lemon zest and the acidic taste paired well with seafood. 2018 Nicolas Jay Pinot Noir $26 Husband got the Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley. Love the fruity note of the 2018 vintage. Bread Basket The bread basket has baguette, crispy mini croissant, and butter bread. Amuse Bouche The Amuse Bouche is apple jelly with flowers and some spices. Les Choux $31 Cauliflower with almond, grapefruit and sweet and sour vinaigrette. Love the presentation and the refreshing taste. La Langoustine $75 Langoustine fried in brick dough, basil puree and chicory salad. The crispy outer shell of the langoustine was tasty! Love the combination. 2019 Brancaia Ilatraia $39 This Italian red blend is made from 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Petit Verdot and 20% Cabernet Franc, which is smooth and well balanced. 2015 Margaux du Château Margaux $49 I ordered a glass of the Cabernet Sauvignon from Château Margaux, which was amazing! Love the structure and texture of the wine. The smokiness and cocoa was clear on the palette too. La Saint Jacque $99 I got the Hokkaido scallop seared on the plancha with rice, caviar lime and uni buerre blanc. Scallops paired well with the finger lime and the buttery uni sauce. La Caille $65 Husband got the caramelized quail filled with foie gras. On the side there is the Robuchon style of potato puree, which is super creamy and smooth. Anniversary Tarts Dessert Love the complimentary tarts, from left to right there is snickers chocolate tart, pear tart and chocolate crepe tart. Le Soufflé $20 We ordered the espresso souffle with a scoop of Bailey ice cream. The souffle is a bit on the wet side. Prefer the puffy taste more. Passionfruit Mango Macaron The last dessert is the passionfruit mango macaron, which is crispy on the outer shell and soft inside.
A culinary experience not to be missed!
This is the height of culinary performance art. The kitchen, in full view, allows guests a front-row seat to observe the chefs display their skills in perfect unity. The food is exquisite. The service is impeccable, time after time. The staff seem excited to serve and truly enjoy inviting you into their world, guiding you on your culinary journey. The sommeliers treat my husband like royalty. I do not consume alcohol, and was delighted to discover a thoughtful mocktail flight that I will definitely order again. L’Atelier is an extraordinary culinary experience, far and above all else in Las Vegas. If you are a foodie, L’Atelier needs to be at the top of your bucket list.
Adventure of Flavors for Your Delight
Up front, the cost is not cheap, but worth it. Party of 4, three of us celebrated our birthdays. This restaurant is not big, but not loud like so many LV restaurants can be. The service was top notch, to the point that when I returned from a trip to the restroom my table side was cleaned and napkin refolded. We all did the 9-course tasting menu. Three of us did the wine-pairing. Each course was a delight to the tastebuds and those of us that did the wine pairing said the Sommelier was on point. The room is setup such that you can watch the chefs cooking. Except for the dent in your LV budget, you will not regret this adventure of flavors.
Awesome as usual !
We come every year to this nice atelier for a superb diner ! Service is efficient and very trendy. Plates are so tasty and beautiful and every year new menus (except purée). We had a special dessert and gift for our anniversary whcih was appreciated with no requests ! Go do not hesitate ! Special thanks to our guy Mr K from Hawaii !

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
