Stunning
The chefs clearly take pride in using fresh, high-quality ingredients, as each bite was a testament to their culinary expertise.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The menu offered a wide variety of delectable dishes that catered to all tastes and dietary preferences. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's attention to detail. The drink selection was impressive, with a diverse range of beverages to complement the meal. What truly stood out to me was the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, creating a perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, providing exceptional service throughout my visit. In addition to the culinary delights and impeccable service, the prices were reasonable, considering the high quality of the food and the overall experience. I felt like I was getting great value for my money. The layout of the restaurant was well-designed, with comfortable seating arrangements that provided privacy while still allowing for a lively and social atmosphere. The attention to detail in the decor and furnishings added to the overall aesthetic appeal. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner for two, a casual gathering with friends, or a special celebration, this place has it all. Le Bernardin West 51st Street New York
French cuisine at its finest.
Seafood is venerated at this culinary temple.
Service is impeccable and silently omnipresent. The minute you walk in the floral arrangements announce you have entered a very generous house; the lighting, paintings and the wall installation that mimic waves transport you to a effervescent shore that invites to a memorable meal.
Lived up to every expectation
This is not just amazing food, this is the highest level of creativity and perfection of execution. The chef’s menu and wine tasting was an incredible experience.
The food the ambiance the service is unpatched.
Love spending my celebrations here every year

New York main seafood Michelin three-star French dish Le Bernardin, too good tuna that dish on the original basis t add uni, the taste is much better than the original! Not only seafood, dessert is also awesome!!!
So sad, so very sad.
I did all the research on this restaurant, read through the Wikipedia page, studied the executive chef's bio, along with the other staff, and even read Edwin H's review. Edwin visited for his wife's 85th birthday and he had some extremely valid observations, please go find his review. We took the tasting menu where each dish was paired with wine. The wines were nothing particular and very monotone. BORING. This restaurant is supposed to have a top sommelier, but I could have blindly picked a handful of wines and done a better, more exciting pairing. It's clear that somebody is bribing the Michelin guide reviewer which is why they haven't lost a star. To obtain 3 Michelin stars should be reserved for the very best, most elite, welcoming, divine restaurants in the world. I've eaten at non-starred restaurants with better hospitality and quality. We were absolutely robbed at this restaurant. Before you think to yourself, "this is the reviewer's first Michelin experience", don't worry, I've been to 12 Michelin star restaurants and this is my third 3 star experience. I'm basing this entire review off what a Michelin experience should be; and, frankly, these comments stand for non-starred restaurants as well. This staff needs to get back to the basics and ask themselves if food is really their passion or just a way to pay the bills. Ok, end tangent and back to the review...All of the fish dishes were about 500% too salty, the bread was a limited selection (compared to other Michelin starred restaurants), and the dishes were forgettable. The one dish I particularly enjoyed was the tuna with a hint of wasabi in the sauce - this was actually quite nice. The only silver lining of this meal were the sauces that accompanied each course.Oh, I almost forgot this part, and this is an *extremely* unprofessional quality. I went to the restroom and when I returned I was told that the wine had already been described. The server described the wine to only one guest and didn't wait for me to return, which was 3 minutes later. When I asked for a re-explanation I was literally scoffed at, and the explanation was essentially "here's a wine, it pairs well with your food." Disgusting. I honestly can't believe this. There was no welcoming feeling at this restaurant. None at all. You'd think after spending $1,200 for 2 people the staff would at least *pretend* to like you, but they make you feel like intruders during the entire dinner and then kick you out as quickly as possible. The entire tasing experience from walking in through walking out the door was 90 minutes. For a full drink, dinner, dessert experience it should not be this quick; everything was rushed.I've actually lost some faith in the Michelin guide. It used to stand for something. If this restaurant can be awarded 3 stars, where does the chaos stop? If you're looking for a true 3 star experience, go visit Da Vittorio. If you want an experience where you feel like an intruder, are served over-salted, overcooked fish, monotone wines, and have $1,000+ to blow on 2 people, please visit this restaurant. If you are looking for a fine dining experience in NYC you have many, many other options. ***********I hope I can steer at least 1 person/couple away from this place; please spend your hard earned money where the staff treat you well and the experience is enjoyable.***********2 stars were given because the sauces were quite nice, but the desserts were flawless. Absolutely stunning. But overall...What a shame.

There are many reasons why this Michelin 3 stars have been awarded year after year.We were able to secure only an earlier-than-usual reservation of 545 PM on a Saturday night. What has changed fro a visit maybe 5 years ago is that suit/tie is no longer required or expected. The crowd was "business casual" - most gents with sport coats. It was a delightful and memorable evening. Not rushed. Superb service. As the entire table must order the 7-course with optional tasting or the 4-course prix fixe, we opted for the 4 course as all could make their own selection for each course (the 7-course is fixed).Round of cocktails ($20 - $25 each) and a nice 3-part Amuse-bouche was followed by "almost raw" choices of oysters, oysters-uni, scallops, and tuna. This was the first of many discussions throughout the meal on "what was the best dish"? Note there were no bad dishes."Barely touched" choices were lobsters, scallops w/ caviar, and shellfish medley.Main course ("lightly cooked") choices were the signature Dover sole, salmons, and hiramasa - all superb.Desserts were pistachio, coffee-toffees, and the cheese assortment . The latter was the only poor selection of the night as at $44 was too steep.Overall - a clear winner.Damages for 4 with tip was $1850.Food 5/5Service 5/5Value 5/5Cleanliness 5/5Noise 5/5 (lack of noise!)Decor 5/5

my favorite fine dining experience ever, ive gone for the price fixed menu for lunch and also the tasting menu for lunch and it's truly 3 stars (unlike eleven madison park after they went vegan)If you want to splurge there's basically no way uou can go wrong with le bernardin
One word: amazing
Is it that good? Yes, it is that good. Amazing. This is how an unforgettable experience feels like. Your biggest problem is going to be what you chose. And you cannot go wrong. Thank you Eric.
Michelin 3 star? Nah Yelp 3 star! Monk Fish salty af.
Who gave these dude the 3 stars??? I cook better no cap.

Had a really great and delicious time! Came here for a late lunch and got the prix fix meal, opened with a poached and smoked salmon spread on little toasties-- very yummy. Then I got the caviar-scallop, generous portion of caviar atop a generous bed of diced raw scallops. It was like a very tasty symphony in my mouth, a really nice combo of textures and buttery indulgence. For the cooked portion I chose the dover sole filet because I wanted a buttery fish. It was nicely prepared and garnished with olives, black trumpet mushrooms, and almonds. It was really good -- but I was so full at this point from the caviar-scallop, salmon and toasties, and bread basket that I could finish it. But I had room for dessert!! (Always) I got the chocolate tart, it had some high points -- the melty center had an atypical flavor profile for chocolate, and the ice cream complimented it well. The rest of it was OK and the fancy decorations were more wafer, not chocolate. The design of the place is very elegant, and it's one of the better lit fine dining places I've been to. As expected of a restaurant this caliber, the staff were extremely attentive and kind. They have a coat check which was nice.My husband made the reservation about a couple of days in advance or so-- he had a very different experience; he wasn't satisfied with his meal (lobster, monk fish) but thought the sorbet he got was good! I tried his meal, I thought the lobster was about as good as lobster usually is, the monkfish was admittedly super salty, and his sorbet selection was really yummy and a good palette cleanser!!
It's been a while since I came back.
Each time is better and better! Food services wine cocktails.. you name it! Live the fancy atmosphere over there ! Coming back soon again ;)

Been here 4 times now, pre-covid and once since covid, and an additional 3 times for corporate related events. The experience seems to be deteriorating. Very elitist and classist, which is unnecessary. Obviously guests eating here are in a certain socioeconomic bracket OR saved up to enjoy the dining experience-- either way deserving of an impeccable dining experience, which is not the case. The staff are either dead inside or just required to have sticks shoved in their rears-- neither friendly, nor pleasant. It doesn't matter if you're celebrating an anniversary or birthday--the restaurant will make no fuss for your occasion. The vegetarian tasting menu and the flesh menu make little sense. Too greedy to commit one way, but exploiting the crap out of diners. Yes, the food is good, but this is NYC with many restaurants serving excellent food. The food here is not exceptional and for these prices and reputation, being exceptional is NOT optional. It's like Le Bernardin is not even trying any more. The dining experience seems to be more about guests feeling privileged to be able to eat at Le Bernardin, rather than the restaurant feeling honored to have guests in the first place. Not worth it.
Best food I’ve ever eaten
If you are looking for excellent service, great wine pairing and excellent food then you should book here. Don’t skimp and think the a la carte will do, go for the tasting menu if you can. The scallops in particular are amazing. The reservations are released 7am (EST) on the first for the month ahead. Remember to set an alert to book as close to that time as possible if there’s a particular reservation that you want.
Lunch was Superb
I was just ok with my previous visit a few years ago but LOVED the City Harvest lunch menu offerings this past February. I sat at the bar and really enjoyed the exceptional service provided to me by Kosta. I mentioned that I would be attending the matinee for Moulin Rouge ( a must see!) and Kosta assured me he would get me to the musical on time which he did. Both the Moulin Rouge and Summer Wind cocktails were fantastic and I also enjoyed a terrific Riessdorfkolsch beer. Bread assortment is very nice. All 3 courses were perfect, not just excellent but perfect. The $163 (not including gratuity) for what I received was money very well spent and I look forward to Le Bernadin on my next visit to NYC.
Lovely Fall Lunch!
We were able to have lunch here while in town for a long weekend. We were very pleased with our experience. The staff was very nice. We had some great wine pairings with our courses. Ideally, the seating would be a little more spaced apart but this is NYC where space is at a premium. The food was outstanding. We would definitely return.
Myth Debunked
Myth debunked I have not been to the restaurant for many years and after reading wonderful reviews I thought it a great place to celebrate my wife's 85th birthday. Needless to say it was extremely hard to get a reservation fortunately my American Express platinum card enabled me to get a reservation at 5:45 PM last night. As I remembered it still is an extremely beautiful place. But after my experience last night I cannot encourage anybody to go to this restaurant - be prepared to spend $500 for such a mediocre experience. If for some reason you do go do not sit in the rear of the restaurant, there is the entrance to the kitchenand your head will spin with the constant flow of people going in and out- completely distracting dining. I am 90 years old, been to 57 countries and have eaten in the finest restaurants in the world – this certainly is not one of them. There is a constant interference by waiters and etc. instead of fine unobtrusive service found in fine restaurants/ All of the above could be forgiven if the food lived up to its reputation. You have two choices to start with followed by one entrée and dessert($185). To start with we ordered the langostino which was overcooked and sent back. For the entrée i ordered the fluke and after the experience of the starter I asked the waiter please do not overcook it. It came well done, overcooked and tasteless and sent this back, After this 2nd experience I declined ordering anything else. My wife did enjoy her halibut. For dessert she ordered a Carmel dessert- just adequate. They only charged me alacart for the items I ate. At a price which will exceed $250 a person with wine and drinks one would expect much more. It's all about fussiness and the presentation rather than great seafood and elegant service. Happy 85 to my beautiful wife,
Service was unfortunately disappointing and no one there seems to care….at least not the person answering the phone.
This had been one of the best fine dining establishment. We had looked forward to yet another amazing experience. Again the food was fantastic but the service was shady and often just odd. They told us upfront about the time limit. We are aware having worked at restaurants they need to turn tables but that is not how you greet a guest unless things have changed…? We never were asked if we’d like add in items to our tasting menu. We were served dessert and then asked what about the cheese cart so that came later. We never were really sure who our waiter was but worse was how the staff left us feeling uncomfortable. The bill was consistent and very expensive so they got that right. I actually called the restaurant and the gal who answered was right away negative towards me since my feedback was short of a compliment. So then I decided to share via this post. My first negative post on any Michelin rated restaurant.
