Quelle tristesse, Lunch for two. Long time ago we spend so much money for such bad food. I started with the botte de radis/sausage €23. Indeed nothing more but a bunch of radishes, poorly cleaned, with a few pieces of cheap suasage stuffed in between. Main course sardines, 6 pieces presented on a plate with a piece of lemmon. Not to eat. Partner started with cooked ham (good quality) presented as a few thick slices with 3 olives and 3 pickles on top (€26), followed by sole meuniere (€49), a mini piece of fish accompanied by a piece of lemmon. To complete both main dishes they served rice. Unbelievable that you dare to sell something like that. We say: “untill never”.
Be the first to ReplyGreat time at Club 55 - can’t beat it for atmosphere and fun
Lovely Sunday lunch at this wonderful beachside restaurant - delish food, great atmosphere, fabulous for people watching and just having a thoroughly good time - loved it

The restaurant I would not recommend at all. The waitress we had was the most rudest person I have ever come across She literally told us to use google translate to choose our menu opinions. Ignored us 3 times and made me feel so insignificant.

Do not make this you primary destination for St Tropez. I you want to stop for a drink, fine. But it’s lackluster for sure! Very casual beach chair shack… beer, wine, coffee.
Be the first to ReplyWorth a visit but go with realistic culinary expectations.
We have visited Club 55 on many occasions and whereas it isn't the greatest culinary experience, the overall ambiance makes it worth a visit. It is far from cheap but bustles with couples and groups who want to experience something that has become an iconic venue on the Ramatuelle beach. In fairness, the food on this visit was better than previous experiences. My go to favourite starter is the 'Poivrons', beautifully tender red peppers with olive oil, anchovies and an anchovy tapenade - salty and delicious. The 'loup de mer' is always a popular choice and this visit was no exception. I opted for the Gambas and whereas previously they have been overcooked, these were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious with the butter sauce. The Gambas were large and meaty and even though they were a crazy price in excess of £50 for two gambas, they were a treat. We ordered chips for the table and these were excellent and generous. All in all, this was a most enjoyable visit, and even though we knew what to expect, we all agreed that the food had gone up a notch!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing and expensive experience!
Came here on a recommendation based off its legendary status. Due to early arrival we got a good position on the beach - however we were crammed in between two families and a couple in front with a dog. There was little to no space between other parties and no beach bar service. I waited at the bar for over 20 minutes to be able to buy a bottle of wine with only 1 person ahead of me. Also no cocktails available! Food was expensive but this was expected so elected to share 2 x entrees as starter and then main as portions were huge but this was deemed unacceptable by the waitress. She instructed the waiter to place the second entree/main in front of my male partner and exclude me! The food itself was disappointing for the price - that being said the artichoke and accompanying sauce were delicious. The mussels were unfortunately in a watery broth rather rather than the promised cream. Fries were “extra” at E14! Overall it was a disappointing and expensive experience. They are surviving off former glory rather than current service and offering. The websites states that “ the customer is not king here as he is a friend”. The reality is that you are treated as if you should be grateful to be there and be served (albeit minimally) by them.
Be the first to ReplyHeaven on earth!
It is absolutely fascinating: the place is a true heaven on earth! But: this comes at a hefty price tag. Year after year we can’t resist and each time love it. The bill in the end needs to be forgotten quickly but the atmosphere is fantastic! This time the service was miraculous, very attentive and immediate, friendly and prompt (serving our table of 22 people in a packed restaurant). The food is good but that’s not the thing. Listen to live music, keep the rosé flowing, enjoy the beautiful crowd, feel the sand below your feet and chill!!!
Be the first to ReplyA truly terrible place that delivers absolutely nothing at all
The Beach Club here is a disgrace. Living off past glories. Absolutely terrible. Zero service. Visited three other beach clubs without the history of this place that were infinitely better. All three other beach clubs gave you your space, and immediately offered drinks, Club 55…. Nothing. Had to ask and was told there is a waiter around, this despite the ‘office’ having 7 guys doing zero. They ask you to pay for the day immediately. Everywhere else runs you a tab all day, and you pay at the end for beach and drinks This place is a hideous place. People rammed on the beach. Nothing exclusive or high end at all A total and utter disgrace Why would anyone come here when everywhere else is better is a mystery
Be the first to ReplyAWFUL EXPERIENCE - PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE
Nobody in our group knew French so we asked for an English menu and the waiter very rudely replied we never had English menu and never will and walked off! Instead of course he could have asked us what we liked and tried to translate and accommodate. Another waiter came by a bit later and asked if we are ready to order and when we said we really don't know what we are ordering (due to not knowing the language) just said I come back later then and walked away!!! After 10 minutes when the same waiter came back we said we just want chicken and that's what we were given, very average tasting chicken (compared to the prices this place charges well below average I must say). The place was packed with guests and we were amazed how this place could give such a poor service and food and charge these prices with no effect on number of guests that are still willing to still come. At the end the same waiter who gave us astonishingly poor service asked for a tip when passing the redicolously expensive bill. I think nobody should visit the place unless you have no respect for your own time and money!
Be the first to ReplyClub 55 - time to move on
Club 55 has always been so tasteful and such fun over the years. Sadly it’s time to move on. Too many tables packed in tightly with customers/waiters struggling to manoeuvre-completely unnecessary. The crudités board was just as good but the rest very disappointing. Moules with no sauce and frites as an extra, €29 for melon and Parma ham! We all know Covid has sadly taken its toll over many restaurants but why should it spoil such a memorable experience

We love this place. The atmosphere is magic, the food is good and the staff is professional. A must place for Saint Tropez visitors.
Be the first to ReplyLong long past its prime... this is a has been
Used to love this place. Came her for 20 years, but the success got to their heads... Arrogant, disorganized and the food is below average. The pasta is over cooked, the sole grilled is pre-cooked and not fresh off the grill. The staff is arrogant and incompetent. Trying to see what they can get away with. If you're not a party of 12+ guests, don't bother...
Be the first to ReplyHistoric good resteraunt
I recommend because of the good food with large portions and the great atmosphere. And in the history and this place is a winner.
Be the first to ReplyA true has been place
This is a true has been place and why change it when the place is full and crowded 🤪. It is very expensive and the food is strange not bad just not nearly as good when you compare it to the other beach clubs just nearby. I sometimes wonder how places like this can survive but I guess it is because of the legacy from the past where club 55 was the place to be. It is a bucket list thing to do and now it is done
