Simply magical.
I dined alone, on my first night in Paris (my 5th visit to this enchanting city) and this was (and is) a special place to eat. I was seated at the bar top, and got to see all the chefs in action, and was served directly there. My server was very very friendly and I was torn between the quail and the chicken, but he reminded me that I REALLY came for the chicken, and he was right. I loved the dark blue decor, how intimate the space felt and all the small elegant touches throughout the restaurant. As for the food? Legendary. I started with the chicken giblets (that sauce! divine), the potato puree (so good, I was speechless) and the chicken (just heaven sent). You must must must must have a meal here. It will be simply unforgettable.

.. the chicken was amazing. Me and my two friends got one of the whole chickens to share. We also got mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, mixed vegetables and a side salad. It was amazing. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable when we asked a couple questions. The restaurant is clean and airy even though it's on the small side. BOOK A RESERVATION. There are not more than 10 ish tables on the inside. It was so amazing and I recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious chicken in Paris!

The previous time when we came was before Covid and everything was impeccable. This time, not so much. Service was terrible. Not enough staff to handle the whole restaurant. Our waiter was pretty much rude. He practically spent 2 minutes to take the order and never came back to check on us. The food was excellent, but the service really ruined the night. Next time we will stay home and use their food delivery service.

Ok so I thought this was a little pricy for what it was - yes the quarter chicken was good but not as good as the quail which was very pricy and I enjoyed the pasta that came with it. My salad also came with a hair in it? When we came in we were seated at the bar and it felt very like every though we made a reservation that we weren't welcomed

This meal was one we were really looking forward to and it lived up to all expectations. The Bresse Chicken is generally considered the best chicken in the world and they specialize in it here. They do other very special chickens to, but this is the one we wanted. As Americans how could we not have the Oeuf Mayo (hard boiled eggs with mayo). It's so classic and perfect. Along with a couple liver and giblet apps, we went with the chicken. While, there is no question it has more flavor than even the Mary's chicken here, it's all a matter of degrees. It's always wonderful to taste what's considered the best. It gives you the basis to compare others.We had an excellent Reb Burgundy to go with it. For desert we went with a classic French desert we just don't see here. The Meringue Floating Island. Service was stellar and we had a wonderful evening.

I stumbled upon this place through a quick google search looking for restaurants near my hotel in Montmartre, researching where I could get a good meal for lunch. After a quick research, I chose to try this place out based on the pictures, reviews and location near Sacre Coeur. This restaurant is in a beautiful location in Montmartre. They have outdoor seating across the street from the restaurant. Because of the beautiful weather I chose to sit outside and just enjoy the streets and people watch. Reviewing the menu, I also learned that it's not a restaurant to go to by yourself, but they also do offer options for smaller portions. I kind of wanted to order a whole chicken, but I also knew it would be a waste of food since I wouldn't be able to finish it all, so I opted for the quarter chicken, knowing well that it may not be the same as a whole chicken. The quarter chicken, although a small portion, did not disappoint! The sauce was SO GOOD! Very buttery but also very flavorful and served with roasted garlic. The chicken was a little on the drier side, but the sauce made up for it and made for quite a delicious meal! I did have a choice for white or dark meat, but I chose white. Maybe I should have opted for the dark meat. I also ordered the mushrooms, which were delicious and buttery! I am definitely making an effort to check this place out again next time I am in Paris, and hopefully with a larger party so I can try more things on the menu.

We ate dinner here after the restaurant as renamed Le Coq & Fils. Judging by the photos pre-pandemic this restaurant features the same food from before the pandemic possibly with some differences.Service was amazing here. The staff cared for us throughout the dinner. We ordered many hors d'oeuvre because we couldn't decide: shots of chicken bullion, leek hollandaise, deviled eggs, and giblet empanadas. There is an entire section of the menu devoted to giblets, mind you. We accompanied the meal with a bottle of wine that was exquisite. Both of us ordered a quarter chicken with either vegetable fricasse or frites and salad. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Crispy skin, juicy meat atop chicken jus. We were too full for dessert but nonetheless our waiter presented us with chocolate truffles. Our meal for two was under 150 euros with a bottle of wine. We would gladly eat here again. This restaurant is perfect for a date or to bring the family for dinner.

This was recommended to us by a Paris local and it did not disappoint. Quite literally the most spectacular chicken dinner I have ever had. We each had the quarter chicken with sides. The salad was delicious and lightly dressed. I preferred the fries to the macaroni gratin which was on the heavier side. Great portion size and friendly staff. We sat at the table but the bar area looked like a great option for watching the cooks at work.

Currently sitting at the chefs table/ bar as I'm writing this review... I have never in my life have had chicken the was crispy on the outside so so tender and moist on the inside..the chefs and cooks worked their magic in front of us as we dined in foie gras and a perfectly cooked leek salad. From the moment we walked in our server was so politely and was on top of everything and made sure we were happy... I've spent 10 days in France and this is by far the best meal I have ever had.. MERCI BEAUCOUP

I got - Quarter chicken - Rotisserie perfection falling off the bone Salad - crisp with light dressing Mac & cheese - Al dente pasta with golden brown cheese on top and puddle of béchamel on the bottomSeating options - bar with working kitchen views, tables, communal table in the back room. Tourist tip - Make a reservation If 2 women are sharing a bottle of wine for lunch you might need to remind them to bring the bottle. If at communal table, chat with your neighbors if they're open. You never know who you'll meet!

We tried a week ahead of Thanksgiving to reservations for thanksgiving dinner here, but were full the entire day. On a Sunday at noon, we still did not have reservations. But we were found seats in the back room at a community table. That worked just fine, as an American Airlines pilot and his sister were seated next to us. Nice conversation. This spot is all about the poultry, there are no other meat options. We both chose the roasted quarter chicken, tender and moist. The macaroni gratin was devine- white cheese sauce over rotini pasta with a crust of more melted cheese. This dish and a glass of wine could easily be dinner. The second side was a fresh green salad. All for 24€. There's was no room for dessert, and the menu looked fabulous. There's was a slight snag, the bottle of wine ordered didn't arrive. So half way thru the meal we ordered a glass of wine. Very crisp decor. Back dining room with community table, front area with small tables and a few seats at the bar. Bar seating would be great, you can watch the kitchen.

The service was wonderfully attentive. It was almost American in service standards. We were want for nothing and everything came out in a timely fashion.The restaurant feels large for Paris and is nicely appointed. We ordered the offal platter, quartered chicken and a few desserts. It was all beautifully plated and tasted divine. The technique they use to cook the chicken is interesting and I'm shocked it comes out so moist and tender. This is a place that can absolutely turn into a come here every month/week kind of place.Also, the truffles you get with the check. . yeah stealing that idea.

Foodman heard about this tribute to poultry and was so glad we finally got to enjoy an evening at Le Coq Rico. We had soft boiled eggs to start, a pate and the the main show - chickens from Brest and Avignon with a salad and frites. The white burgundies paired with the meal perfectly. Service was attentive and paced the meal beautifully. Bravo.

We considered the restaurant across the street and I'm so happy we decided on coming here. The staff didn't really speak English but everyone was accommodating. We ordered 2 quarter chicken lunches which came with bead, choice of potato, house salad and the chicken. It's the best roasted chicken I've ever had. We also tried the dessert of layers of chocolate and phyllo it was amazing!

My husband I set out to find the best rotisserie chicken place in Paris and...this is it folks! They had many options we weren't that familiar with so we let our waiter take the wheel on this and we had an incredible chicken (i think it was the genui fowl?) with salad, fries, and an amazing bottle of wine. I will be recommending this place to anyone visiting Paris going forward- one of the best meals we had in Paris!

The best meal in Paris! We have came across this place while exploring Montmartre. What a gem! The experience was simply amazing. We got sitted at the bar - right infront of the kitchen. The kitchen looks spotless, the ingredients fresh and chef work was amazing. Food was so tasty - I can say that this has been the best meal in Paris! The service & foos is top notch, place has a great ambiance, and the service is amazing. If you are nearby, it is definitely worth to enjoy lunch or dinner here!
