Great food and a lovely atmosphere.
Food was amazing, starters beef carpaccio, mains steamed muscles and crème brûlée to finish. Great food and great value for money.

So glad we discovered this restaurant on our trip this year. Fabulous food and great ambiance. Will definitely be back!
Be the first to ReplyEXCELLENT FRENCH RESTAURANT
We were really impressed with Le Petit which offered a genuine, authentic French menu which seemed to be fairly priced. I had fish soup, which was almost a meal in itself followed by duck cooked in two different ways followed by a trio of desserts. We were here on holiday but if I lived here I would certainly be a regular.

Visited for dinner recently. Fantastic cooking. The Filet Roussini and the Duo Canard were exquisite. The Creme Brulee was the best I've tasted this side of the Channel. Staff were welcoming and efficient. Excellen value for money. Lovely experience.

We visited earlier this month and had a delicious Côte du Boeuf between us, deserts were good too. Good ambience and not too expensive. We'll visit again next time we're in Guernsey.

We enjoyed an excellent lunch here on the first day of our holiday. I can definitely recommend the croque madam. Service was great too.

Our favourite restaurant in Guernsey! We have been to Petit Bistro a few times now and every time our food has been absolutely amazing! The snails are delicious and the Filet de Boeuf is unbelievable!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and lovely staff
This is a lovely spot - established restaurant with classic interior decor - the staff are multinational but they were all really lovely - friendly and very helpful. Good was good - we had three courses and all very nice. House wine was also good. Don’t be put off by some of the other bad reviews - we would go back.

Great food and very friendly staff. We went twice during our stay both mussels and duck were great. A cosy little restaurant which I would recommend
Be the first to ReplySlightly disappointing
We had some great memories of Le Petit Bistro, and looked forward to another dinner there. It was a bit of a disappointment; on the drinks menu there are a number of cocktails (like Old Fashioned) that could not be served as there was no Bourbon available. When ordering a bottle of wine, the wine was not available. The alternative wine was opened and poured, without asking to taste the wine first. And the waiters were still dressed in traditional French garb like before, but it very much felt like an act, and not something authentic. The food was OK, but nothing more than that. Sorry to see the decline of a once very nice bistro

A really great little restaurant and really tasty food.
However the staff were not the most efficient.
My partner was presented with a meal she did not order and the replacement took quite a while to return, by which time I had finished my meal.
In their defence they were not writing down orders and therefore relied on their memory, not the most effective.
They did however make our evening a most enjoyable experience anyway.
So disappointed
We come to this restaurant on each visit to enjoy the French ambiance and cuisine, it is usually packed and hard to book. We went on a Saturday night and there were many empty tables. The staff were very polite but all except Ione I think one were Asian with heavy accents, the staff wear traditional French attire, white shirts braces and flat caps, one of the lovely staff members was a lady wearing a traditional hijab over which she wore the flat cap, I really dont think she should have to wear the flat cap over her hijab as it just looked ridiculous , as I said they were extremely nice but the previous staff were mostly French which added to the restaurant s authenticity. We ordered cote de beof, which was cremated on the outside and partly raw and grisly on the inside, we ordered medium, it had a very strange taste kind of like game , it didn’t taste like beef at all, we were so disappointed as we loved coming here but won’t be returning.

Lack of care! Eat evening meal as a family, had to request water twice, had to ask the waitress to take order twice and had to ask two waiters to pay bill, the first one walked off with a wine order. Not the place it used to be.
Be the first to ReplyALL the joie de vivre and je ne sais quoi required for a New Year evening!
A GREAT little find!
We were staying in the GORGEOUS Old Government House Hotel (just up the hill) for a New Year adventure and had decided that...on New Years Eve we didn't really want the Gala extravaganza the hotel had going on for NY's Eve....we wanted something more intimate and local....
During the day of 31st December we stumbled across the Petit Bistro and stopped for a glass of wine/small beer...
On impulse....because we loved the atmosphere here....we asked if... per amazing chance....they would have a table for us that evening....
They did! We were very happy!
We were even happier as we wandered back to our fabby hotel....
The food, service and atmosphere was WONDERFUL in this "find" of ours...
It appears to have a very French leaning....for example....frogs legs and snails were on the menu....unusual for such a small establishment, me thinks!
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here and, before we left the island, went back again....it was just as good as our first visit!
Well done them!
I/we wish you every continued success....
Will DEFINITELY be on our "go to" if/when we ever return to Guernsey!
Trés Magnifique!
What a fantastic restaurant!
Superb service coupled with excellent food and drink, all served by super friendly staff!
Well Done!
No trip to Guernsey would be complete without a visit here :)
I love Petit Bistro - every time I visit Guernsey for work I make sure that I come here, either for lunch or dinner. The food is always delicious and I really enjoy the vibe of the place :)

Superb little restaurant - quirky decor, great menu, great atmosphere, friendly service. We both had the main course of Coquille St Jacques which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely Amazing!
Dined in here last night and had a great night! I opted for the moules marinere and the sirloin steak followed by cheese. Really authentic with french music and really friendly and efficient service. We would really recommend this place!
Be the first to ReplyTasty food and good value - went twice!
Four of us made two visits here, one early bird special, one a la carte. Steak can sometimes be hit or miss, but ours were both perfectly cooked, cut easily, and very tasty. The mussels the next day were fine too. Our group of four had several different selections, all with no complaints. Drinks prices were very reasonable too. Definitely worth having a meal there.

Mostly disappointing and inauthentic bistrot experience. The frois gras was not fresh, the scallops were in a greasy grunge, the rest of the fish was off the menu and the bread portion was skimpy.
The ambiance seems good but do not expect proper French cuisine.
